We have dined at Magnolias quite a few times. However, the dinner had some issues. I ordered the Peppercorn steak. Good flavor, but there was a congealed sauce on it. Plus it was really had to cut. Possibly a hanger steak. My fiancé ordered the pork dish. Nothing wrong with it, just wouldn't order again. We ordered a side of the Swiss chard, it was just stiff hard stems. Sent it back and ordered roasted Brussels sprouts. There. was one piece of the sprout and the rest were burnt leafs. Service was fine.

We went to Magnolia's at the recommendation of our Airbnb host, and we were not disappointed. We were seated at an outside table on a lovely Saturday evening. For appetizers, we had the deviled eggs, which were unlike any I have had before. Delicious! We both had the prime rib special. It was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We chose Irish coffees and tiaramasu for dessert. We couldn't finish it. We also got a 10 percent discount because we were staying at a local bnb!

We were visiting the area and met some local people. When we asked advice on where to go this was their choice. Our meals and dessert were very good. We loved the redone mill look. Parking was easy. We were seated promptly. Our server knew the menus and offered suggestions. Our meals were well prepared.

The food was very good. Service was prompt and friendly although there was an error in our order and one entree didn't come out until we'd mostly finished our meal (would have been nice to have been offered a free dessert or have the entree removed from the bill). The building is rustically beautiful, warm, and inviting. We'd definitely return.

It had been a couple years since we last visited this restaurant. The food wasn’t as good as we remembered. We also waited about 40 mins for our dinner to come out. No explanation provided. Won’t be going back.

Fabulous meal to celebrate our anniversary at Magnolias! The food was delicious and personal touch was appreciated. Really was hard to pass up the prime rib, but the filet and scallops were excellent and my wife enjoyed the crab cakes. Thanks Magnolias for a great meal and we look forward to returning in the future!

Two patrons were sickened after the meal and they both had the prime rib. The waitress was fabulous!! The location on the enclosed porch was nice except there were numerous flys due to the location. We enjoyed our meal and will be back and hope to see some changes made!

After making a reservation we were put in a very loud room so we couldn’t even talk to each other. We were moved to a better location but only after complaining. Rest rooms needed to be restocked. Considering the prices, not the best value.

I would put 5 star but I had so many mistakes when I went so many times .
This time we were early. The receptionist sat us early and 10 minutes I received an email
Saying I was no show .
After my friend and I finished, I made reservation for Father’s Day Brunch and I asked if I could have the confirmation. She said no it will not allow. Then I got it .
So she is not familiar enough .

This is the second time i go for brunch. It was basically the same options, do you switch up your brunch menu? The service was amazing, very hospitable. Overall the restaurant is nice, but it's too dark, wish it could be brighter.

Our family dinner was a feast of opposites: incredible service, gorgeous salads, perfectly velvety sautéed spinach, savory grits, lovely spicy shrimp pasta, even the best house sauvignon blanc I've ever had. But the gaps were huge. The steak au poivre was not crusted with peppercorns, per the menu. In fact, it tasted like it hadn't even been dusted with pepper — or anything, for that matter. The kitchen told the server that the peppercorns were in the sauce. The soft-shell crabs were tiny and seemed to have been previously frozen. Oddly the legs had all been snipped off. And the dessert we shared — peach cobbler with ice cream — came out cold (not cool, ice cold); we had been dreaming of warm peach cobbler with cold ice cream melting over it a bit. Speaking of dreaming, the atmosphere was dreamy, and our server could not have been more professional, attentive and interested in our table. But she was hamstrung by an uneven kitchen and a misrepresentative menu.

I meet a friend at Magnolia’s twice a year. It’s a wonderful place to talk and eat fine food! Both of us have to start with your sensational “fried green tomatoes” and then choose another tasty course. Thank you for being there year after year and maintaining consistency!

While Magnolia’s is a step up from Outback Steakhouse. We had a larger party, and people were ready to place their order and for some reason the waitress didn’t want to take full orders, mistake 1. With that said, the The waitstaff was polite and professional, but the decision to not take the order right away, delayed our meal arriving at the table by about 20-30 minutes. The coconut shrimp were tiny and over cooked, deviled eggs were delicious, and the Crab fondue was average, it needed more crab in it.
I ordered the Ribeye and it was AWESOME!! My wife’s risotto was over-cooked, but the beef tenderloin was delicious. This was my first experience with Magnolia’s and I will go back at some point, but you might as well go to Tuscarora Mill in Leesburg, because they hit it out of the park every time! Little sister Magnolias could learn from Tuscarora across the board.

I wouldn’t mind paying the exorbitant prices if the food was reflective of the cost. My husband’s swordfish was bland and undercooked, my shrimp and sausage capellini was mediocre. When making reservations, I was asked if it was a special occasion and I told them it was my husband’s birthday. No one wished him a happy birthday, so I don’t know what the point in asking was. We got there at 5:45 and were apparently sat in a baby section, we were sequestered with our 14 month old in an area by ourselves, then as time went on, more children were seated around us. The ambiance is very nice and the cocktails are excellent. I recommend coming here for a drink, MAYBE an appetizer, but spend your money on fancy meals somewhere else.

Loved sitting outside, but sun was shining in the eyes of one side of the table. Maybe some roll down blinds.

Food was excellent, and a good value considering the buffet brunch selection. Could have been laid out better. Layout wasn't well thought out but we managed. Drink specials for brunch would be a nice addition, or even having 1-2 mimosas included.

Perfect dinner with friends here. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great service and food. Cocktail and wine choices were excellent. We shared some appetizers - fried tomatoes were a big hit, however the crab fondue wasn't the best (not very crabby) - but that is the only critique of the evening. Steaks and scallops were cooked perfectly, side dishes were delicious. A very nice evening!

They sat us out on the back inside porch area, which needs some attention. Not up to par for a restaurant of this level. The seats were hard and the booth seats were way too high off the floor.

The food choices were not as I normally would expect. The meat and risotto dish was underwhelming and not seasoned enough. The steak au poivre was a tough piece of flank steak vs a traditional Nee York Strip or Ribeye.

I ordered a Cosmopolitan and it was not mixed properly either.

We tried the recommended peach cobbler but it had 2 small peach slices in the whole serving and was soupy with way too much nutmeg or anise flavor and the oatmeal crumble was like they just added a tablespoon of it over at the last minute. We had to return it after 1 bite.

We come to Magnolias regularly for special occasions (this was our 34th wedding anniversary) and are typically very pleased. Please try to do better next time!

Thanks!
