Great place for lunch
It was my first visit there and from the moment my wife and I set out foot in there, we were treated like a long time customer. The owner is very gracious and welcoming. we went there for lunch/brunch and the Cream of zucchini soup was outstanding. Phil the owner asked how was the soup and I said it was fantastic. He said the clam chowder is even better and proceeded to offer a complimentary cup. It was fantastic. The Blackened Salmon and Shrimp Louie salads were perfect. Make sure you leave room for the beignets served with a whipped mascarpone cinnamon cream, strawberries and lemon curd, best beignets yet.
Excellent service and fresh cuisine. The daily specials are particularly good and the atmosphere is wonderful neighborhood Italian. Superb wine selection as well. Recommend it wholeheartedly.
I can’t remember when I’ve had a more delicious meal than the salmon/spinach/mashed potatoes Dinner and the beet salad we had before hand.
My two friends and I meet at a different restaurant for lunch every other week. We rate the Magic Flute as one of the highest. We enjoyed everything we ordered (we share) including the delicious chocolate cake with ice cream. We will definitely return one day.
Birthday well done
My boyfriend and I went there for brunch because our friends said it was their favorite go to spot. WOW the brunch was sooo yummy! The atmosphere is cozy and cute! New favorite brunch spot and definitely coming back for lunch, dinner, everything!
I've been going to the Magic Flute for 25 years, and always find Phil and his family welcoming and warm. The food is creative and consistent, and there are multiple options for a large party or a cozy dinner for two. It's a neighborhood gem, and I can't wait to go back.
Magic Flute provided an intimate, friendly, delicious meal with great service.
Lovely neighborhood restaurant that has been a part of the Laurel Village scene for many years. It had been decades since I last ate there and it didn't disappoint.
Great patio dining. Delicious brunch menu!
We had such a nice time!!
Delicious food, friends and family, it was perfect.
The owner is so hospitable.
I have been dining at The Magic Flute for 32 years. Phil LaCavera is always a friendly, gracious host and never forgets a face. The menu has something for everyone. Our most recent brunch included scrambles, omelets and benedicts; all very tasty and tastefully presented. The blue cheese stuffed medjool dates were great and the beignets finished out the meal nicely. One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants in San Francisco!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our dinner- friendly, very professional service... warm, cozy and quiet atmosphere, limited but creative and delicious appetizer and vegetarian entree. Reasonably priced. Will return!
The Magic Flute is a lovely Presidio Heights restaurants. It is classic old San Franciscan and Phil the owner is an amazing host. The patio is absolutely amazing. The best patio dining I have found in San Francisco.
Great food! It’s a bit small so the noise can pick up.
Delicious food; lovely setting; owner/maitre d' wonderful and welcoming; waiter a wee bit cranky.
Had a delicious lunch. Even on a Friday at noon reservations are a must. We had the vegetarian scramble - generous portions and top quality ingredients. Plus impeccable service.
This is a very consistently good restaurant. Phil greets you. Staff are knowledgeable & pleasant.
Food is as described & very good.
You are not rushed & staff are attentive without hovering.
I've been going with friends for years & will continue to do so.
Remember to leave time for finding a parking space .
We went with a friend for Sunday brunch and found a neighborhood restaurant with great food and wonderful service. We will be back!!!
