For pub fare, Maggie's Place is terrific. Great regular and excellent turkey burgers.
Staff were attentive and friendly. I was seated promptly. This was appreciated as the meal was prior to a meeting I was in Town to attend and kept me on schedule.
The kitchen was flexible in producing a lunch Salad in the evening.
The Butcherblock Salad was the perfect meal for me and as advertised. Tasty, filling and delicious.
Fiona was an excellent server. The food was great. Dining was upstairs away from the bar so you could enjoy a quiet meal.
Food and service were great. I loved the vibe. Staff was very friendly.
Delicious food, great ambience, centrally located. Couldn’t ask for more!
Food took over 1 hour and we only had 3 orders. Burger fries, salad with tuna, lamb stew. Our drinks were not being serviced timely and our tab had a drink charge which we asked for but was not served. We got the credit back once we alerted staff.
Food taste was nothing special.
There are better service and values for irish pubs in nyc.
Definitely would come here again, food was delicious, and between the 4 of us we all ordered something different. The staff were nice and polite and efficient.
I have been going to Maggie’s for over 20 years. The food, service and ambience is always good. Try the shepherd’s pie or anything on the menu. Specials are always tasty too. Great menu and specials. Centrally located too.
Mt friend and I sat upstairs which was nice and somewhat less noisy than downstairs. The tables were a little too close to one another, but the waitress was excellent and the good delicious.
Fine! Friendly casual dining.
Good lunch spot. Food is good. Would definitely go back.
We were some of the few customer's in Maggie's on a Labor Day Saturday evening after having 2 successive reservations canceled by restaurants, closed that weekend, that hadn't bothered to turn off OpenTable until hours before the reservations were due.
I called to ensure they were open, spoke to a very pleasant young lady, and she had recognized my aged parents and seated them in the quietest area of the place (on an already very quiet evening, admittedly). She was friendly, helpful, gave my mum the special order she asked for, and overall couldn't have been more charming.
Good pub food, relatively quick service, and the only recommendation I could possibly make is that they could use a wider selection of beers on tap. But maybe that's not their daily business crowd wants. In any case, three cheers for Maggie's!
Had the Tuesday Goulash special and it was fantastic. Waitress was exceptional. A little noisy at tables near the bar.
A reliable source for a reasonably priced, well made lunch in an expensive part of Manhattan.
Very efficient luncheon. Food was good and accommodation very nice.
Delicious Shepard's pie! Super-accommodating of a large group and even called to double-check whether we were eating or just drinking to give us a table in the dining area. Comforting food and nice service.
Closed at 830 on a Saturday, staffs efforts were that of a place which was closing in 1 hr.
Steak was over cooked and replaced with an under cooked steak. Meal was removed from the bill, this wasn't the NY experience I was looking for.
The most unique thing about this place is it is in the heart of midtown but feels like Anywhere USA. I most appreciated the efficient and friendly service. The menu has something for everyone but is predictable and therefore Not Fit for Foodies. Great place for an inexpensive team lunch
Very slow service
Great service, good drinks and good food! Very friendly atmosphere.
Food was good and service was good
The Irish pub food is great. I had the beef and mushroom pie. Delicious. Good beer selection. Greatest ice. Nothing but good.
I went here based on reviews, however, I did not think it was anything special. My friend and I each had a spicy Moscow Mule, she had a burger and I had a crab cake sandwich. No coffee, no dessert, with tax and tip it cost us $80 - that was a bit expensive for what we had. Granted the drinks were $14 each - no lunchtime specials here. No better or worse than any of the other Irish pubs around here.
Maggie's Place was fantastic as always. You can never go wrong here.
Maggie's Place is my company's go-to for new colleague welcome lunches. Superb food and prompt, attentive service at busy lunch hours. Something for everybody on the menu. A++
Usually go for lunch but went for dinner for the first time in a long time Thursday night. The noise level was extreme. The staff was great, they moved us from a table in the middle of the upstairs room to a table near the front in a less crowded area, but even the people there were yelling at each other to be heard over the din (assisted, no doubt, by cocktail amplifiers). I felt bad for the excellent staff people, they must develop hearing problems after a while. Still great food and service.
First visit to NY and Maggie's was our first meal ,great food ribs to die for and my wife's salmon burger a must would recommend without fail Thanks.
Food and service was ok
Go upstairs for a quieter more private dining experience
Great Midtown restaurant. Always good food, good service and you can get in and out in an hour if you want to.
Quick in and out, great service, great food.
Best Irish comfort food around.
This is a favorite place for a friend and I to meet for a quiet dinner where they allow you to sit and eat. If you eat on the upstairs landing, it is quiet. The food is varied and really tasty and of good value. I recommend it.
I have been going to this place for years and it has always been good. Great food, service and atmosphere.
The food here is always spot-in (no matter what you order). The staff is extremely friendly and on top of their game. My only (slight) issue is that their soda tap needs to be cleaned more often - when you order a soda, 9-% of the time it as a metallic taste and is a bit flat - but believe me, water is healthier and I don't go there for the soda - I go for the wonderful food and ambiance. I highly recommend this place.
The Shepard’s pie was really good and so was the chicken Pot pie. The service was not the greatest.
The chicken pot pie was awful. But otherwise everything else was as expected.
Maggie’s was perfect! Delicious food great service!
Friendly staff, good pub food, nicely decorated for the holiday season.
Excellent place, great staff, very cozy, my only negative is it took way too long for the check to come, almost 25 minutes. Other than that perfect palce
