Maggiano's - Woodland Hills Ratings and Reviews
About the third or fourth time I’ve dined at this place and it is so much better each time! I had the eggplant parm this dinner and it was so delicious. The sauce was definitely homemade which made the meal taste amazing, the eggplant wasn’t too fried it was perfect, and the pasta was al dente! I would definitely recommend this meal if you like eggplant. I also got to take a meal home for free since I chose off the classic pasta menu. I took home the ziti and had it the next day for lunch! Very delicious too but the eggplant has my heart now!
We are regulars and so far we never experienced any bad meal.
It was valentine’s day...but we were very disappointed.
We were seated promptly, my wife wanted a booth as usual but the host could not accommodate us this time and several booths were available. I guess she didn’t want to bother.
The food was mediocre at best and I’m glad we ordered a nice bottle of wine.
Our waiter was nice even if he made a couple of mistakes.
We started to feel sick afterward so I’m not sure if we will ever come back.
The Open Table reservation system was most welcome and so easy to use. The restaurant service was excellent, even though it was Valentines Day. The servers were very attentive and readily available for anything you might need. The food was outstanding, ordering from the everyday menu, and as always tasted great and was a exceptionally good value. The Meal for Two had great selections and the take home extra meals were equally tasty and welcome as a no hassle dinner for a subsequent evening.
The staff were very friendly, and though we were extremely late for our Valentine’s Day reservations due to traffic and navigation issues (don’t trust Siri on this one), when we called ahead to inform them, they were more than accommodating to ensure we didn’t stress about losing our reservation. We were almost immediately seated and then served accordingly. We spent nearly two hours there for the Amore dinner special, which was delicious in every way—the Tomato Caprese was unforgettable, the Shrimp Scampi was packed with Shrimp and great flavors, and the Chicken Parmesan plate was enough for two people and just as good as the other two dishes. Our waiter was happy and delightful to serve us, and we appreciated it on every level. I strongly recommend this restaurant!
We had a 10+ person group celebrating a birthday party. The service couldn't have been worse. We were charged for meals that we partially received and we waited over an hour to receive our order. Every single person in our party complained over and over again throughout the night. I would never recommend or risk having a large group at this restaurant.
Maggiano's is our local neighborhood Italian restaurant. We come here often for both lunch and dinner. The food is good, well seasoned and reasonably priced. The ambiance is old-fashioned Little Italy and very appealing. The only criticism that I have voiced in the past is the slipshod service in the evenings. (The lunch staff has been uniformly good).
This last visit (2/7/17), Maggiano's redeemed itself regarding service. Our waiter was a gentleman named "MJ" and he was an absolute pro! It was so nice to be served by someone who exhibited exactly the right tone (friendly, professional, knowledgeable) and the expertise to get the order correct, never forget a request, check back to make sure everything was satisfactory and generally make us feel cared for without being intrusive (which is sometimes a delicate balance). Maybe this gentleman should be put in charge of training those in the staff who seem to have missed instruction on the fine points of being an excellent waiter. Kudos to the manager who hired this fellow!
We were celebrating my daughters 13th birthday. We had 6 kids with us and 2 afults. When we arrived 10 minutes early, our table was ready. We had time to put some birthday decorations on the table. We brought a birthday cake, there is no cake cutting fee. Our service was prompt and friendly. All the food was delicious and my daughter was so happy. Maggianos was busy that night but that did not take away from our service because it was marvelous. Thanks Maggianos for making my 13 year old feel like a princess!
The food is above standard Italian food, some items were a hit, some were a miss. Not too many healthy options, but at least there were a few. The service was impeccable though. The waiter we had made us feel special and appreciated, and made sure to recognize the birthday we were celebrating several times.
Service was wonderful and food is always tasty, which is why we keep coming back. Well, that and the buy one/take one home specials on the classic pasta dishes. The spinach salad is delicious. The wine list isn't bad for a family-style place either. Yummy desserts. Decent prices.
Note: The hostess podium is in the worst possible location. People will be stepping all over and around you while you wait to be seated (we had reservations). I wish they would move it to a less-congested area.
I always enjoy my Maggiano’s experience at the Promenade in Woodland Hills!!! The food is wonderful and the service is phenomenal. Marcia is the best!!! Although the other servers and wait staff are great themselves.
This unique restaurant has ambience and a very friendly atmosphere. The greeters couldn’t be nicer or more solicitous.
Go to MAGGIANO’S and experience great food, gracious service and a relaxed atmosphere.
Fantastic service at this location. Caesar was amazing, especially since it was his fourth day! The food was good but not the best Maggianos I have ever had. The veal marsala was REALLY tough. Not pounded flat enough, sauce was flavorless. Chicken Parm and Zuccini were fried, breading too toasty.
The answer is no, I did not complain as my wife and daughter hate it when I complain. Also, my potential son in law was in tow for his first family meeting. I really hate driving over one hundred miles each way from Bakersfield to go home $200.00 light in the left rear and hungry.
Disappointed but we wilk be back. This was much better than the last three times I was at the Grove.
Very good night out with friends. The food was very good. We had the fried zucchini appetizer which was delicious. Ou salads were as we expected. Our entrees were delicious and the amount of food presented was more than abundant. The only downside was that the restaurant was quite busy and it took 20 min to get bread for the table and silverware. All-in-all it was a grid evening and we will go back
Normally the meals are delicious. One friend ordered minestrone soup which to her was over salted. Another ordered the mushroom pasta and her comment was also over salted. I took home the lasagna. The server neglected to include the leftover bread which I specifically asked to have bagged. She also put the lasagna in the existing bag I had. The red sauce was everywhere in the "go home" dish. I have taken that home for years, and usually the contents are pristine. Frankly, it looked like someone had barfed in the box, closed it up and hoped to not be caught. I was disappointed as were my guests. Hope all is better next time, and if bread is left over - it is included in the package if requested. Also, if I order something with red sauce. I hope it is liberally placed in the container. I know to not tip the container, etc.. She was just careless.
