Maggiano's - Woodland Hills Ratings and Reviews
Maggiano's just started opening for brunch on the weekends. The time of the reservation was wrong, but my confirmation showed 10AM and it was honored. We wanted brunch and the menu situation was a little confusing. After we finally ordered, the food came and there was confusion on which fritta was going to which person.
The food was very good and we would come back. Hopefully, they will get it together so one would have more confidence in the operation.
Unfortunately our server had to be asked 3 times (over about 20 minutes) to bring us the vinegar for the oil (for bread). Frustrating.
He had to be asked twice to bring 3 more place settings - Very frustrating because we had a reservation for 8, yet the table was not set up for 8.
My ravioli with pesto sauce was awful - the sauce was like water... I didn't want to send it back because it was my son's birthday celebration dinner and I didn't want him to be upset that I didn't like my food.
Our server apologized multiple times for us having to ask him for things repeatedly, so we still tipped him well, but had it not been my son's birthday, I would have addressed his shortcomings with local management on the spot, as well as my food would have been made properly.
Disappointing for a $250 meal out.
The food was good. I ordered pot roast. But the dimmed environment made it hard to see what was on my plate. I put a piece of fat in my mouth and had trouble seeing mushrooms on my plate. I ended up not eating much and felt hungry afterwards. Also, the prices on the receipt were higher than those on the menu.
Place and location never seems to disappoint us. Always great food and service. My only complaint was the dog and not a service dog that was allowed in the main dining room. He was under table as a party of folks dined. A non service dog belongs outside. I graded down only for this issue.
I came here with my two best friends for my birthday dinner. The waitress was nice and very accommodating. Also, the food was very delicious. My friends and i ordered the dish where you can purchase one to eat and get one to go. We came here on a Tuesday night and had reservations but it didn’t seem necessary as the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. Overall, I had a great night in such a nice restaurant.
While the food and service was pretty good, the atmosphere was extremely loud and obnoxious with a large amount of families sitting around us. There was one table in particular that had six children and four adults. The adult seem to act as immature as the children, allowing the children to run around the table in both directions, bumping into other gyears and waitstaff. There was one dining party that actually requested to be moved to another area of the restaurant to get away from this obnoxious group of people. It would’ve been nice if the maître d’ had said something to the parents or at least asked for their children to stop running around.
That particular day which was thanksgiving dinner our evening was a disaster from beginning to end. Had reservations for 6:45, didn’t get a table until 7:30. Got the salad at 8:00. Waiter said at 8:20 they were all out of white turkey meat. We settled for dark meat. The turkey arrived at 8:45 and the sides were missing. When the sides came they were cold. My little one fell asleep in the booth before she even had a chance to have dinner. To end the night they were all out of the deserts we wanted. So overall I rate it a DISASTER.
We always enjoy going to Maggiano’s for birthdays. Our table was ready when we arrived. We appreciate that the executive chef came out to make sure that the people in our group who had dietary restrictions get the proper food. Our waiter was very attentive and always checked on us if there is anything more that we needed. Everything that we ordered were all very tasty. At the end of the meal, they gave the birthday girl the yummy lemon cookies. Very happy and pleasant experience.
Maggianos is what it is...a chain restaurant that provides what you expect. That being said, our server was fantastic...above and beyond the norm. The food was good. It is so dang noisy...kids running everywhere. You can get away with that in 2017....and we did know what to expect. Dine here with your family and not a date. We were a casual party of 4 and the crowd around us was usual. We got what we expected...a moderate/high priced Italian meal that was close to home in a noisy environment.
This place is fairly good. The food quality is better than bulk Italian. The restaurant generally is jammed at night and your reservation time is not indicative of around when you will be seated. The noise level is loud because the restaurant is large. The prices are a bit expensive but not offensive.
The family style menu is great for 4 or more people. You get to pick and try different things on the menu. This is a great deal. PLENTY OF FOOD. If you want more of what you picked, there bring MORE. Your choice of 3 appetizers or salads, 2 pastas, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts.I LOVE THIS PLACE. P.S. Bring a big appetite.
This Woodland Hills location has really done down. The chief they currently have is terrible. It used to be one of my favorite but no more. The Cesar salad was dry and unevenly cut, the spaghetti & meatballs didn't have enough sauce and the mushroom ravioli was not moist and the sauce was very salty. The birthday dessert was 5 lemon cookies arranged in whipped cream with a drizzle chocolate sauce!
