Maggiano's - Woodland Hills Ratings and Reviews
Normally the meals are delicious. One friend ordered minestrone soup which to her was over salted. Another ordered the mushroom pasta and her comment was also over salted. I took home the lasagna. The server neglected to include the leftover bread which I specifically asked to have bagged. She also put the lasagna in the existing bag I had. The red sauce was everywhere in the "go home" dish. I have taken that home for years, and usually the contents are pristine. Frankly, it looked like someone had barfed in the box, closed it up and hoped to not be caught. I was disappointed as were my guests. Hope all is better next time, and if bread is left over - it is included in the package if requested. Also, if I order something with red sauce. I hope it is liberally placed in the container. I know to not tip the container, etc.. She was just careless.
We went there for New Years Eve. There were 10 of us. The food was good and the service was fine. However it was very noisy. We could only talk to the people next to us. I understand that in previous years you had different rooms with different kind of dancing and you could choose the one to select. That would of been really fun. I think you could have had one room... no dancing and the others some type to dance and you could have charged a little extra for the dancers
Very busy this evening but the wait staff did not miss a beat. They were attentive to both the large parties as well as the small. The is consistently delicious! There was also a dining deal where you could take a second pasta dish to go with your dining in puchase!
We chose Maggianos for a birthday get-together, With mixed adults and kids. The wine came early, the kids meals came in time for them, and the dishes kept coming. The food is always good, the service is excellent and responsive, and the value of the meal is great. We will be back!
They hosted our work holiday lunch during THE busiest day of the year and still did nothing short of an outstanding job. Service was outstanding and food was outstanding. When they can deliver this kind of superb service at their busiest time of year, you know they are always on thier A game. Yes, you can count on them when it matters.
Our waiter was excellent. Everyone else left a great deal to be desired. The waiter who brought and opened our wine bottle was chewing gum while he opened our bottle. He didn't look at us once, merely looked around the room while he placed the bottle on the table and mumbled that someone would be by with wine glasses.
When we arrived we were shewn to a table in a space that shouldn't have any tables in it. It was in the corner of the center of the room right up against a round pillar. My friend couldn't pull her chair far back enough to sit at the table. We asked a passing waitress if we could move to the table next to us. She said that was fine and that she'd let someone know. Soon after a woman who was obviously a manager asked if that was the table we were seated at. We told her what had happened to which she replied "I wish someone had told me that because we have a group coming and I need to use the table you're at to group with those other tables". She was polite but it was clear that she was not happy. She moved us to a table in the back which ended up being better because it was removed from the bigger room and, therefore, less noisy. The acoustics in this restaurant are horrible. I've been to this particular Maggiano's before so I was prepared for the mediocre service and the noise but we went anyway because we wanted Italian food and Maggiano's is better than Maria's kitchen. I think next time we'll be going to Il Fornaio
Server was great, got sat next to a party of about 18 kids. We couldn’t hear anything and had to yell to each other just for conversation. Also many other large parties around us. Took a while to get drinks as I’m sure the bartenders were back up. We will be back but not during the holidays, that’s for sure.
Maggiano's just started opening for brunch on the weekends. The time of the reservation was wrong, but my confirmation showed 10AM and it was honored. We wanted brunch and the menu situation was a little confusing. After we finally ordered, the food came and there was confusion on which fritta was going to which person.
The food was very good and we would come back. Hopefully, they will get it together so one would have more confidence in the operation.
Unfortunately our server had to be asked 3 times (over about 20 minutes) to bring us the vinegar for the oil (for bread). Frustrating.
He had to be asked twice to bring 3 more place settings - Very frustrating because we had a reservation for 8, yet the table was not set up for 8.
My ravioli with pesto sauce was awful - the sauce was like water... I didn't want to send it back because it was my son's birthday celebration dinner and I didn't want him to be upset that I didn't like my food.
Our server apologized multiple times for us having to ask him for things repeatedly, so we still tipped him well, but had it not been my son's birthday, I would have addressed his shortcomings with local management on the spot, as well as my food would have been made properly.
Disappointing for a $250 meal out.
The food was good. I ordered pot roast. But the dimmed environment made it hard to see what was on my plate. I put a piece of fat in my mouth and had trouble seeing mushrooms on my plate. I ended up not eating much and felt hungry afterwards. Also, the prices on the receipt were higher than those on the menu.
