Maggiano's - Vernon Hills
Celebrating a birthday
I thinks it’s great food , great deals , like the coupons. Service is always good
I go there atleast 1-2 times a month
Our server (David) was amazing. The food was so good. I had the Shrimp Diavolo for my entree and the Limoncello Tiramisu for dessert. So incredibly good.
They wanted to put five adults in a small booth. When we asked for a table they gave us attitude.
Always a wonderful meal
I’ve been to Maggiano’s in Vernon Hills many times. Our server Sammy was just fair. It took him a long time to come to our table to take our order (6pm). Restaurant was not that busy yet. When we got our order, Either the order was completely wrong or incomplete! He apologized only after we complained. He wasn’t very attentive through our meal. We were thinking he must be new. Of course we will be back. We love your restaurant and especially the food!
Awesome service and a great dining experience. The Marco’s Meal for two is a steal.
The older I get the more I dislike loud restaurants. It's very hard to have conversation in this busy setting. The food and service were great.
The food and service were both excellent until we were ready to leave. It took 35 minutes to get the check and leave.
Our sever and the food were great. We were surprised and grateful when he brought us an extra meal to go (on the house)!
Great Italian food just a little pricey. The staff is fantastic.
We hadn't been to Maggiano's in years but agreed to meet a few friends there after work. Gotta say, none of us were particularly wowed. Not that anything was really awful, but most everything was just . . . OK. Service, OK. Ambiance, OK. Food, OK. Nothing to write home about. I wish I'd had the Chicken Parmesan that the guy at the next table was having, it looked much better than anything any of us ordered. The desserts rated higher, IMHO, than any of the appetizers or entrees. We had several and shared and they were mighty tasty. If you're looking for something really memorable and delicious, take a pass. If you're looking for a filling, palatable meal without a lot of fuss, you'll be good to go.
Crowded popular long waits as expected service was very good food however is completely mediocre to Sub par
Nothing really tastes fresh
hastily prepared and often very unappetizing
First thing I find the take one home idea for the pasta is ridiculous either lower the price by a couple blocks or make the food a couple dollars better but what’s the point of having another bowl of mush to microwave the next day
Sat an hour after reservation time for Mother’s Day and it took over thirty minutes for appetizer to come out. In fact sales came out before apps
Horrible experience. Had reservation and waited 45 minutes behind. Took forever to order and get food. Food was cold. Waiter forgot stuff. Never refilled drinks or cleared plates.
Can’t provide a good review for a restaurant that was more than 30 minutes late for my reservation. If I was 30 minutes late, my reservation would be canceled and my table given to another party. Do better.
Reservation was for 5:15 but we didn’t get seated until 6. What is the point of making a reservation? Food was good but service could be better. We weren’t even told that we would have to wait that long despite having a reservation. Poor management. I guess they feel like they can get away with it since they always have business but it’s still frustrating.
Had reservations and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. Felt rushed to order and still food came out late. Ordered a second round of cocktails waiter brought one and the other I had to remind the waiter. He made a lame excuse that they were still making the cocktail. In reality he forgot the cocktail because the ice was already melting in the glass. The Long Island ice tea was watering down.
This is not acceptable.
I had a 345 reservation. We where not seated until after 415. Ordered as soon as we could. Food not brought until 510. Waiter was ok but seemed like he had to many table in his area. No acknowledgement of the inconvenience by manager for the excessive wait to be seated or on how backed up the kitchen was. If this was my first time eating there I would not return.
I would recommend but Just not for a day like Mother’s Day.
waited 45 minutes for our drink
waiter cam e back finally and it was still the wrong drink.
food was very good, service was good, it was loud based on the crowed restaurant
Cannot answer if I would recommend Maggiano's in Vernon Hills or not. On Mother's Day our waiter seemed brand new and was in chaos. I had to repeatedly request plates and silverware. He was disorientated and in disaster zone. He told us that others were taking his orders and so he brought of what was left. Not good. Absolute chaos unfortunately. My son tipped him well, way too well.
We went to the Mother’s Day brunch.i have to say it was somewhat of a joke. The portions were really small, it took forever to get our food, and our waiter was pretty much non-existent. Too expensive for not “all you can eat” and bad service. I love Maggiano’s, but I won’t do a brunch there again.
We had 1245p reservations. Waited 30 mins to get seated. We were seated at 115p and didn’t finish our meal until 315p. Poor service. Not once did the waiter ask if we wanted another drink or apologize for the long wait.
Our waiter was awesome... and as always food was delicious. Keep up the good work!
We ordered family style from the pre-fix Mother's Day menu. Our reservations were at 11:00am. They didn't take our order until 11:30am. We didn't even get the FRUIT bowls until 11:55am. We didn't get the main course for TWO HOURS. We were there for 3+ hours and it would have been longer had I not brought our check to another waiter and ask them to process it immediately. They were woefully under prepared for Mother's Day. I will never go back.
Mother's Day. Very very busy but they did great at the restaurant. Ordered the family style brunch and it had plenty of great tasting food. Our waitress was GREAT, friendly and attentive which must have been an exhausting day for her. Our party had 3 kids 5 and under including a 2 yo runner that took off in the attached mall. LOL Lots of families like that were there and they handled all of us VERY nicely. 2nd year in a row for us and we will definitely be back
It’s always an enjoyable experience when dining at Maggiano’s - Vernon Hills. Service and food are always consistent with knowledgeable, pleasant wait staff who never rush you out to turn over the table. I enjoy getting together with friends and having a relaxing meal here.
Although it was the Saturday night before Mother's Day, once we were seated everything went very well.
Our dinner was delicious and the service was great.
Understaffed, over priced, average food. Had to wait even though it look as if tables were not used. Possibly there wasn't staff to wait on them.
Hostess was on the phone when we arrived and never acknowledged us until she was off the phone 2-3 mins later. In fact, she flat out ignored us.
Waiter didn’t get bread out until we were already done with out first course even though we had asked for it when we ordered.
Overall was disappointed with this visit.
Nice place, good service and food.
Always enjoy the Marco Meals for two. Zucchini appetizer is our favorite and the chocolate cake.
When I got to the restaurant the hostess gave me a pager to wait for my table. I thought my table should be ready because I reserved it ahead of time and I also came in early. The server was great. The food was delicious.
We have been to Maggianos many times. This time, the service was a little erratic. There were four of us. Three meals arrived and my husband's had the wrong elements in his pasta, plus two different servers came with his food, one had the wrong table. Once his meal came, it was cold and we waited quite a while for the server to back. At one point, all the servers were in the kitchen. Once the server came back, he offered to make a whole new pasta for my husband and that was fine. Just seemed a little too busy and a little disorganized with the delivery of the food. So, while three of us had our food, my husband didn't have food and waited again for his salad to arrive.
Birthday dinner, my son and mother in law, food was good and service was great
Not sure if all locations have gone downhill or if the Vernon Hills restaurant is worse than others. Food was disappointing and service was somewhat mediocre so we were surprised by how crowded the place was when we went there. Wouldn't go back.
