Maggiano's - Tyson's Corner Ratings and Reviews
Overall experience was good. Food was delicious! Great for large groups, we were a party of 9. I thought service was lacking, lots of dirty dishes left for an extended time on table. For such a large restaurant, we were packed in on top of each other and it did not seem necessary.
One of my favorite spots for many years and did not disappoint on this visit. Great service. Josh was polite and professional. The food was great and we all enjoyed our salads, entre’s and pastas. Red Clams and linguini, eggplant parm, chicken parm all great! Maggiano’s is always a sure thing.
Dinner was wonderful. Our server was very attentive yet gave my party space to enjoy and relax. I️ have a food sensitivity and the chef came out to talk to me about my options to ensure I️ was happy with my order. Again another fabulous dinner. This is why I️ keep coming back to Maggiano’s.
The food is very good and a step above the Olive Garden. Usually the service is excellent, and this time our waiter was OK. However, the person who brought the food out (they have a separate person below the waiter who does that) was rude and gave us disapproving looks for whatever reason he didn’t like us. That bad service was very unusual because the staff is normally better trained.
We frequent Maggiano's because we love the spaghetti bolognese(thick delicious meaty sauce!) and the other pasta dishes,Like mushroom ravioli all made from scratch. They are consistent in their food quality and preparation. Delicious comfort food. The bread is always fresh and hot and you can create your own dipping sauce with olive oil, parmesan and fresh crushed pepper. The Italian tossed salad is very good. The best desserts again made from scratch in house are the Tiramisu(best I ever had), Gigi's strawberry shortcake and apple crostada are delicious!! The only thing we were a bit disappointed about this last visit was the family style menu changed-less choices and more expensive than before. The service is very good and friendly. The hostess was very nice and got us our table pronto!
It's been over a decade since I've been to a Maggiano's and I am sorry that it has been so long. I was with a party of 6 (including 2 children) for my birthday. The food was great. The ambiance was pleasant. And the service was perfect. I will be back again soon.
3 of us ordered chicken parmigiana, and all three orders were wrong (wrong sauces, wrong pasta). For example, my wife ordered hers with marinara and Alfredo mixed for both the chicken and the side of ziti (pink sauce). It came out with just Alfredo sauce and when they took it back to correct it, they simply added a bunch of marinara into the already saturated bowl of ziti and Alfredo. The result was a soupy bowl of pasta that was almost inedible. In addition, all of our chicken got cold while we were waiting.
Went there with my family for my wife’s birthday dinner. The server was not good at all. He did not know answers to questions on the menu and said he thought so and was sorry as the menu changed. He did not ask if we wanted to get a drink and wanted to get our order right away. I asked for the wine menu and he brought it and left. After waiting for over 10 mins he came back. By this point we had already waited a while between getting water and bread that we ordered a round of drinks and dinner at the same time. I asked for more bread and had to remind him a while later that we were still waiting on bread. Same thing in the middle of the meal - three out of four of us needed water and it took a while to track him down. Asked for more water and he said sure and then disappeared again. Finally stopped someone else and asked for water. At the end he did not offer any desert to us. Jus staid that the kids get free ice cream or cookies. I look led at him and asked him a desert menu and he said oh yes I forgot. Sure. While the food was good, this is the second time at Maggiano’s in less than a year that there service has been less than desirable. Needless to say I will not be going back there.
We were there with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday.
Maggianos is his favorite restaurant.
We started with the stuffed mushrooms...yum!
I had the lobster carbonara... so good!
My husband had the fuitta de mare and he loved it.
Our friends both had the eggplant parm and they were very happy with it.
They brought my husband a birthday dessert (with candle)
We went home happy with plenty of leftovers for the next nights dinner.
If it was just a little closer to where we live, we would probably go much
Two of us ordered the fried chicken and waffles with spicy maple syrup from the brunch menu. The chicken and waffles were delicious and the portion large. Unfortunately, it was served in a large puddle of syrup. Both of us found the syrup too spicy and not at all maple flavored. Next time we will order the syrup on the side.
Loved this place! Although I had a reservation at 7:30 and wasn't seating until well after 8 o'clock and we didn't receive our food until after 9pm.. The waiters were awesome overall but the fact that we had to wait an additional 30 minutes after our reservation was disappointing and the fact that our food took so long.
Overall awesome food!
We celebrated a reunion Saturday night with a large group. We did have to wait about 30 minutes to be seated, but since the bar area is right there it wasn’t an imposition. Orders were taken quickly and accurately, and special diet needs in our group were accommodated. We never felt rushed and never felt forgotten. All in all a great night.
Food was solid but service by Joseph at the bar was once again excellent. Joseph is such a great waiter that even with a party of five, we opted for the bar just to be served by him. Management should definitely give this man a big raise. We frequent Maggiano only because of this great service.
