Maggiano's - Tyson's Corner Ratings and Reviews
We celebrated a reunion Saturday night with a large group. We did have to wait about 30 minutes to be seated, but since the bar area is right there it wasn’t an imposition. Orders were taken quickly and accurately, and special diet needs in our group were accommodated. We never felt rushed and never felt forgotten. All in all a great night.
Food was solid but service by Joseph at the bar was once again excellent. Joseph is such a great waiter that even with a party of five, we opted for the bar just to be served by him. Management should definitely give this man a big raise. We frequent Maggiano only because of this great service.
we frequent this restaurant with my family almost monthly, and was very disappointed where we were seated. We were pushed up to another booth, and our chairs were the walking path for every one in and out of the booth, and rather frustrating. it just felt squeezed in - and should not be a table located in there.
I love the Maggiano's salad and it did not disappoint.
The pasta that came with my veal was dried out and too tough to chew in areas so I had to pick through it.
The place is always very busy and it feels like they are just pushing to flip tables these days. I haven't been here in a few years and now I remember why I stopped coming regularly.
Oh for the good old days.....
Our server got sassy with us when she asked us if we would like cocktails, we both said no thank you. My husband who's English is not perfect then said "but I would like a Corona, please" to which she replied "well, that's what I just asked you. So ok then" with a very sarcastic/rude tone. My husband was on the verge of saying something to her but I stopped him and said it was after 9pm and she was probably just tired. I've been a server in the past and I feel for them and don't like complaining.
She never brought us bread, after about 20 minutes of her not coming back we asked the man who brought the app we ordered for the bread. He seemed very surprised we never received bread, and brought it straight away. He was great!
We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, normally these always come out excellent. One was almost raw, and another totally burned. The stuffing was flavorless. We last ate at Maggiano's in NJ a few weeks ago and this dish was totally amazing! It was a real let down.
I had the fettuccini Alfredo that was pretty bland, but some salt helped it. My husband had the fillet and said it was fine. I've been to different Maggiano locations and have always had a great experience. This is the first bad one. I've worked in customer service all my life and know how sick and tired I would get of customers towards the end of the night when I was a server, but you've just got to smile sweetly and fantasize about their death later in your private time (is that just me?), not serve up sassy comments and put everyone at the table in a bad mood for no good reason as soon as they sit down. We could not have been more polite, even after this terrible start. We will be back, but will be sure it's not in her section, and we won't order the mushrooms. :-)
A wonderful 50th birthday celebration! They gave us a choice of seating, outside at their covered patio where noise level was much reduced than inside the main dining area! Our waiter was attentive and helpful! Birthday cake/ candles a nice touch! Thanks and will highly recommend!
This is one of the restaurants my friends and I frequent often. It is a convenient location, the food is good and the value seems excellent. We get our meal to go, as well, and when I heat it up it reminds me of my outing with my friends so I get to enjoy it twice.
We patronize Maggiano's at least three to six times every year. We like the food - although, we'd love to see lot more vegetarian options on the menu (like Silver Diner has - another place we visit 3-6 times each year).
While the quality of the food is uniformly good, the quality of service varies quite a bit. There have been occasions when the service was exceptional, and there have been some occasions when the service was barely satisfactory.
Maggiano's is always a good experience. This was a birthday for a 95-year-old and we also had a baby along. We had a great table that accommodated a baby carrier, and everything went smoothly.
About four years ago we had a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding in a room upstairs and Maggiano's did an outstanding job.
The maitre d' Matt and the waiter Maddy (sp?) provided the best service and attention we have received in a long time. The food was absolutely delicious from the Italian salad to the mushroom
ravioli in cream sauce my friend got to my meat sauce and spaghetti and finally the dessert, butter cake with strawberries and whipped cream. A wonderful night and we are already looking forward to our next trip which I hope is soon ps because of the pastas we picked we were able to take a pasta of our choice home. Great value!
We specifically wanted mussels but alas, they were out. They were also out of cheesecake and a pasta dish. Therefore, I suggest people call ahead to see if what they want to eat is available. The manager gave us two appetizers at no cost and they were delicious. We all had a wonderful time. The staff were great.
Food as usual was fantastic. The problem I had was the wait staff. Our order was taken fine but it was clear they were under directions to flip the tables. Food came at the expected rate but it was how they cleared the table I had a problem. Our waitress was intent on clearing every last dish and utensil off our table. It was so ridiculous she asked us to hand the plates to her. She was reaching over other people's beverages which is so not expected from this type of establishment. Part of the blame for that is management since they have the tables in the main dining room so close together they cannot walk around the table to properly reach between guests to clear. I suspect the clearing issue is also at the direction of management. For the price you pay, you should in no way feel like you are being rushed. I hope they fix this since I really do not like the Maggianos in Springfield.
We hosted a going away dinner for our daughter and 15 people, the wait staff was great, willing to arrange the dishes so that allergies and preferences could be easily accommodated.
They honored our request to seat us in a quiet area, and we had a loving multi-generational evening!
the restaurant is nice and spacious and the wait staff was very intuitive and attentive. It was my first time dining there and the Chef personally came out to thank me for choosing Maggiano's and gave me and my guest a complimentary dessert. I've never had that happen to me before - and I've dined out a lot! - so it was very nice. The food was great too, be prepared to take home some, but the Chef's gesture really pushed this restaurant to the top of my recommended eateries.
