Maggiano's - Tyson's Corner Ratings and Reviews
Maggianos is fine. Would not recommend the one in Tysons as they rush you out and purposely close your bill so you can't continue ordering drinks even after a several hundred dollar tab. The reasoning is once your tab is closed you cannot be served further (as they continue to serve other patrons past their closing time. Good work
Always terrific atmosphere. Food is very good. Service was excellent.
Big complaint. You have got to have non dairy milk available as well as non dairy ice cream for dessert options!!!
A restaurant as good as you all needs to accommodate the many people who need both of those options.
Made reservations with special attention given to a guest who was wheelchair bound. They were wonderful and stood at the entrance of the restaurant and asked us "which one do you want", which was very nice indeed. The food was enjoyed by all and the attention from the wait staff was spot on. Will come again.
We were well looked after and left ful and happy.
Enjoyed family style dining, with chopped salad, calamari and bruschette to start, clam linguini in white sauce and shrimp diavlo , both a crowd favourite and veal masala and salmon with lemon and herbs to finish. For dessert there was spumoni and tiramisu.
The veal was melt in your mouth tender, but I would have used more marsala in the sauce and the salmon was a bit over done. Only regret, when dessert came, was that there was not enough room, but mostly everyone squeezed it in anyway.
With Chianti to wash it all down this was a very good meal.
Maggianos never disappoints, which is why we keep coming back.
My favorite place to go when I want a great meal with unlimited portions. We always ask for Mohammed - absolutely the best waiter I’ve ever had serve our group! And we took enough home to have a meal the next night. We also bring our own wine - their corkage fee is not bad and if you plan to have a few bottles you can really save some cash.
We will be back soon!
They don't honor reservations. We had a reservation on Open Table at 6:30, arrived 15 minutes early, and were told to "stand over there". We proceeded to wait and wait, while other parties arrived and were seated before us. No one said anything to us the entire time as waited in the bar area. Finally, at 6:45 I asked the hostess about the situation and she had no idea when we'd get a table regardless of our reservation situation. We left.
Went to celebrate my Mother's 80th Birthday. I had a reservation for 9. We were given a good table though it was in the middle of the great room, so seating was a little tight. Atmosphere was great and everyone enjoyed their food. Nice little Birthday treat after dinner for my Mother. It was presented Beautifully. Overall a very successful celebration. Thanks.
I was thoroughly impressed with our knowledgeable waiter, Mina, who was able to guide us to some dishes that we had not tried previously. Maggiano's is the favorite of my college-age son who was home for Thanksgiving weekend. He was ecstatic with his ravioli in pesto-cream sauce which he orders during nearly every visit. My husband and I were pleased to try new items. I'm sure we will be back during our son's winter break and hope to try even more of the menu.
What a wonderful time we had the day after Thanksgiving at your Tyson's location! We had reservations for 15 during black Friday and we were well accommodated - table was ready early and the staff was so amazing! But the food.... Oh that food.... Can't go on enough about how much we enjoyed everything. Mussels, bruschetta, caesar salad, the gnocci and pasta dish and tiramisu and creme brulee. We were stuffed, and blissful. All day long. Your staff and chef- incredible!
Thank you Maggiano's for being our home away from home! Now please come to Oklahoma! :)
Sometimes I crave a large bowl of pasta and know that I can get it from Maggiano's. They made me exactly what I wanted on this visit. I wanted a lighter meal but still wanted the same pasta. They took the sauce from the chicken piccata and added it to the linguine as I requested. It was delicious. My husband tried a bloody mary made with whiskey, very good. He also got brunch hash which he enjoyed.
This was our second time doing thanksgiving at Maggiano's. We were a bit disappointed -- the food was no where near as good as the first time we went (two years ago) and quite a bit more expensive. The service was good considering how busy they were and how many tables were packed into the dining room. They did accommodate our special requests (salad dressings on the side, no sauce on the pasta) and we appreciated the chef coming out to let us know our dessert choice was unavailable and then suggesting a substitution. All in all, while we won't be back for Thanksgiving, we'll probably dine there for other dinners or special occasions.
A friend and I went to Thanksgiving dinner at Maggiano's. They had a wonderful traditional menu for the holiday. Every bite was delicious and there was so much food that we took leftovers home and finished them the next day. The only thing missing was gravy for the mashed potatoes. We frequent this restaurant generally, but plan to return next year for our Thanksgiving dinner.
The host/greeter was very unprofessional as we experienced a lengthy wait because the host refused to acknowledge my party and seated other diners who arrived afterwards. The manager on duty was also very unprofessional and did not offer an apology. I followed up with the general manager via phone the next day who acknowledged and addressed the issue.
Lenny, our server, was very hospitable. He was checked in our through out our visit but was not annoying. He was the perfect waiter. Then Matt, the front of the house manager, dropped by to chat and check on us. He was pleasant and we enjoyed his sincere conversation. Everything was great.
TIP: they have happy hour from 3-6 which means a discount on the glasses of wine that we had. We will try to aim for a seating again before 6pm in the future.
We like going to Maggiano’s - it’s a family favorite. We went for my aunt’s birthday. The food is always satisfying. The service could’ve been better, our waiter seemed rushed. It was Sunday lunchtime, but we didn’t feel like we received the best hospitality. Other than that, it was a good time.
I had a good time people watching and enjoying the busy atmosphere. The food was good, but overpriced to me. I 've had better food for less money. The wait staff was extremely busy but knowledgeable and friendly. I would go back again perhaps with a group of friends and family. It seemed like a better value for large groups than small 2 person parties.
