Maggiano's - Troy Ratings and Reviews
I really enjoy Maggiano’s. I’ve eaten there on several occasions. This time the service was the worst I’ve experienced there. The waiter left the table before we were finished ordering appetizers. He didn’t ask if we wanted anything else, just left once we ordered our bruschetta. He wasn’t timely with the drinks. I felt brushed off. We were not checked on until 1/2 way through our meal. I normally receive high quality service here.
I love Maggiano's, always have and, now that I know you are able to deal with allergies, well, I probably always will. It's a great family restaurant as well as a great night out with the girls. My only little fuss was that my chair was wobbly, but I didn't say anything to our great waitress. She was very attentive and even gave us a couple of chocolate cake balls to take home with us. BTW, they were delish!! Maggiano's Part II was pretty darn good too (the leftovers from our dinner that we enjoyed the next day). We're looking forward to the entrees we brought home. Thanks for making our night out very wonderful.
We sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. The service was good but the food took a really long time to come out. We waiting for our entrees for almost 45 minutes. The food was okay but not great. The bill was $100 with tip for two entrees and four glasses of wine. It isn't outrageous, however, for the same price we could easily get better food and better service elsewhere.
Our food was delicious as always. However, service was very slow while we were there. It took a long time just to get bread.
Unfortunately, Miranda was very slow on bread and drink refills. This isn't the service we are used to at this establishment. I don't know if you were extra busy or shortstaffed, but she certainly wasn't as attentive as the servers we have had in the past.
All of our food was delicious. The portions were generous, so we have no complaints there. The cheesecake was extra good!
Ordered the chicken marsala, came with noodles, no butter on them, just noodles in a bowl. I had to mix it with my marsala sauce. The mgr came over and replaced my wife meal. She ordered shrimp scampi, they bring her out fettuccine alfredo sauce with noodles and she liked that. He didn't offer to fix my meal. Very disappointed with this place seeing it's our first time. Never again.
The overall experience was great. The waitress was great and the food was wonderful. However, there was an individual there that was bussing and delivering water, bread baskets and setting tables there that was obviously sick. He was coughing terribly and constantly wiping his nose on his sleeve. It was not only a distraction but it should not be allowed in a restaurant, especially one of that caliber. I understand people need to make a paycheck, but in a place that handles food this should not be.
I coordinated a get together with my sorority sisters for the holiday. The reservation process was smooth and I was able to adjust the reservation by speaking with the restaurant directly with no issue. I appreciated the attention the staff gave to our table- the host, chef and multiple wait staff ensured (to the best of their ability) that our experience was positive. Many thanks to everyone and each entity involved-
