Maggiano's - Tampa Ratings and Reviews
We ordered 2 Denver steaks. The were tough and too hard on the outside. Very disappointing because we had them before and they were wonder. We told the manager who said we should have told him sooner.
They did treat us to dessert.
Waitress over charged us for the house wine, which was corrected after we asked her.
Cocktails were under par.
Disappointed in that dinner.
Meal was great until the end the server brought out dessert but I specifically let the staff know it was her 90th Bday and yet nothing and I didn’t have time to remind them because we were in there for over 2 hours even though I pre-ordered the food... the food was amazing just very disappointed that her 90th Bday wasn’t celebrated
We had an amazingly good dining experience at Maggiano's in Tampa last Friday evening. We were there to celebrate our friends (mother and daughter) December birthdays, a bit early. We had Julie as our server - she was terrific! The food was delicious - we ordered from the 'family style" menu - really loved the zucchini appetizer and the Chicken Marsala (as one of our four main entrees). Desserts were superb - especially the chocolate martinis we ordered after the meal!!
We were there for the special thanksgiving dinner and have been there last year as well. The food was very good, nicely prepared and cooked very well. The service was not the best, we felt rushed through out the dinner. They bring all the food out all at one time and it made it very crowded on the table. Beside that we were not even given plates to put the food on we had to eat it from the plates were put on. The waiter did not even check to see if we needed anything. Very poor service for this restaurant.
This is the first time we tried the Thanksgiving dinner. The service was excellent and there was just tons of food. The food was really good except the mashed potatoes which were soupy and not much flavor. Everything else was great. They would bring 2nds if needed. I would highly recommend.
My best part of my Thanksgiving was the friendly service by Patricia. She took the time in explaining the Thanksgiving menu and was attentive. She made me feel welcomed and she made me feel like a valued customer. I loved the amount of food there was for me to bring home.
The turkey plate was decent, but the rest of the food was pretty good, especially the apple crostada and tiramisu. The price for the complimentary chef specials and the 2 choices per 4-course meal were excellent for the $40 price. I would definitely come back and request for Patricia again for the holiday lunch and dinner! Thanks Maggiano’s!
We were late due to an accident on the Causeway and the restaurant was great with not giving us any hard times. However, our server - I am not sure of his name because he wasn't wearing a name tag was MEDIOCRE. He was very bland and didn't have much personality at all. We were a group of 12 for a birthday party so it was kind of disappointing our service was mediocre.
The parking was terrible it took about 15 minutes to find a parking spot. So make sure you account for that when you come, especially if you have a reservation. Also we had a reservation and still waited like 15 mins. I’ve been here many times but usually during lunch. I would highly recommend lunch instead of dinner as it isn’t quite as busy. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and accomadating.
We arrived an hour ahead if our reservation, unintentionally, but checked in just in case they could seat us early, and sat at the bar. Our hostess didn't check us in at all and gave us a useless beeper, so we were forgotten about and could've been seated sooner. We were not offered anything more than a simple apology for the error. We were seat at our original reserved time, so that made it ok. The chefs specials were pushed multiple times and when we ordered one of them it was under impressive to say the least. The flavor was leaving in both meals and made us regret the choice. The servers, plural, kept reaching over our meals, while we were eating then, to grab our glasses. While it's nice we never needed to ask, it's pretty rude to each across a plate to get the drinks. Takeaways are a nice "gift" but for nearly $100 for two meals, one shared appetizer, a fountain drink and one single cocktail, it's really the least they could do. While it isn't a bad experience, it also isn't a great one.
