Maggiano's - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Came here for valentines day dinner, it was fairly crowded but a very casual place to go to on valentines day. You can dress up or dress casually without feeling out of place. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I really like their flavored iced teas and the pasta dishes were okay. My baked ziti was a little undercooked and needed more sauce because it was a little dry. I enjoyed the zucchini appetizer very much, it was my favorite part of the meal! I would definitely come back for that. Overall I had a good experience and I also liked how my meal came with an extra dish to take home for reheating the next day.
I haven't been to Maggiano's since I lived in Chicago and loved it. So when my boyfriend suggested this place for valentines day this year I was ecstatic. He made sure to tease me about my swift response after. And this place didn't disappoint one bit. The food was excellent and the service was great. It was a little slow but that was expected for valentines day. I took one star for the fact that when we got there they couldn't find my reservation and they scared the begeezus outta me for a min or two but they quickly found it and we were seated before you know it.... Although it was an awkard positioned table now that I think about it. The waitress made a great suggestion for a main dish and we received comps for a couples massage after!!!
This was my second time to Maggiano's and I was a little disappointed in the overall experience. First the table we were sat at was extremely small could barely fit our plates and the appetizer itself. Our server was great, even for being Valentine's day he made sure we were taken care of, however it did take around 45 minutes from the time we ate our appetizer to the time we received our dinner. That being said the food was great, I tried the baked ziti and it was perfect. The only downfall was the length of time it took for our food to arrive and the size of the table we were sat at, other then that I would definitely return to Maggiano's just not on a holiday.
We received a friendly greeting upon arrival and were seated in a timely manner. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgable. He answered any questions and offered recommendations we asked for. The food and beverage were delivered with excellent timing and everything was delicious. The waiter was attentive during our meal. We found nothing wrong with our experience and are looking forward to our next visit. We have already recommended this restaurant to family and friends. It is an excellent value.
Had a great visit on Valentine's day. They accepted a late reservation (2 hours before), minimal wait for table (just ordered a glass of wine at bar and immediately got called for seating) , great quiet table, great server. The only small issue was the wrong meal delivered but they worked to correct the issue and the server was very apologetic. Considering it was a busy dining holiday we were not disappointed.
I can't remember the special name but their "Two for $39.95" dinner is a steal! Not only do you get an appetizer to share or separate salads but you each pick an entree from a selection of 12 and share a dessert. But the best past...you also each get to select another entree to take home with you! The entree's are generous in size so this deal could feed you for days!
Very friendly and helpful wait-staff, and wonderful Italian Food. One in our party needs gluten-free food, and the chef came out of the kitchen to talk with him about what should be done to make a meal that he could eat. Clearly they had dealt with that issue before, and made it no-big-deal. Can't wait to visit again. Reservations are a must for dinner, even mid-week.
Made online reservations for 5 with ease. Had about a 10 minute wait when we arrived. The bar area was packed but the waitress spotted us immediately and took care of our drink order. We were seated upstairs which was nice. Not quite as loud as downstairs. Food was great. Sausage and pepper appetizer and the Caprese Salad were very good as well as everything each of us ordered as our main dish. Service was very good. Our 1st choice on the wine list was not available which we thought a little unusual for that early on a Sat. night. However, there were many others to choose from. We have always had a good experience at Maggianos and will continue to go there. It is loud but you know that going in. It is a happy place!
I love Maggiano's but the hostess area really has some learning opportunities. We had a 6:15 reservation, pretty early to be getting backed up but were told they were running about 15 minutes behind. After waiting 25 minutes, I approached the hostess to ask about how much longer it would be and was told they had delivered some checks and were waiting for people to leave. We were seated 5 minutes or so later, 30 minutes + after the reservation time. At no point in my three interactions with the hostess did I get a smile, an I'm sorry, anything resembling any appreciation for being inconvenienced. Shameful. The person that took us to our table did apologize and once we got to the table, everything was fine, very good food, excellent service.
This was our first time to Maggianos and it was great. The food was very good. Our server was friendly and checked up on us. The only issue we had was that our 6 PM reservations weren't ready at 6. But we didn't wait too long and the place was packed. The portions are very large so the price is very reasonable considering you get two meals out of one entree. Overall it was very good and we would probably return some time.
What a great start! Our table was ready at the reserved time and we were ushered to an upstairs, quiet nook.
The food was delicious; thoughtfully simmered and seasoned sauces, al dente pastas, and a lasagna like nobody's mother really ever made. So much better than my homemade, I'll probably never make it again.
But, the service was the real highlight. Our young man was honest, funny, very, very informed on menu and wine items, and sincerely interested in whether we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. Remarkable, truly remarkable. Ask for Nick S. He is hard working and delightful.
I don't make it to this restaurant very often, but as always it was great food. The portions were outstanding making it easy to decide on lunch the following day. I was slightly disappointed that there was no pesto dishes on the menu, but they made it up with an incredible gnocci dish.
