Maggiano's - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Love Maggiano's! However, always hard to get in for dinner during the winter months here in Arizona. On this particular occasion, I decided to make a reservation for dinner at 7:00 pm. I still had to wait 20 min for my table to be ready. Our waiter was not very attentive to my party of 2, it was hard to get his attention and I needed to ask one of the other servers to help me. He also wasn't helpful in making suggestions or tell us about the specials. Upon talking to the manager, she apologized and gave us a free appetizer. Other than that, the food was great and I would definitely go back as this was the only time we had a "bad" experience.
We went for our Anniversary dinner before a Concert at the MIM. They started with marking our table with Sparkles! Then stopping by and giving us a Gift Bag to return for a $'s off coupon. GREAT Service and the Food was AMAZING. We also noted that we need to get off to a concert so our server got us in and out quickly but enjoyable! Totally recommend the Scottsdale location
We have been to this restaurant a few times now and the food has been outstanding every time. The service has been absolutely over the top with a visit from the management to make sure we are comfortable at our table to the soys chef who brought us lemon cookies after our dinner. The food is hot and flavorful. It’s a great restaurant for family and friends. I had the chicken piccante and it was cooked perfectly!
Great Food & Service. We had a small birthday celebration. We did the family style meal and the food just kept on coming and everyone loved the taste and quality. The hardest thing was picking what to eat from the array of options. The server, Bob, was fantastic.
We had a family reunion and though we were late for our reservation and lots of guests were waiting for a table, the hostess recognized us as regular diners, she seated us within 5 minutes. The service was excellent and the food, as usual, was extremely tasty and portion-size was more than adequate.
This is not upscale dining. Think of Maggiano's as Olive Garden +. This review might be somewhat low based on expectations that were too high. We were meeting some family from out-of-town who are staying in the area. We had some kids with us so wanted a place that had an approachable menu and this seemed to fit the bill. We made reservations for 7pm for 7 people. when we got there, we were told that our table was just opening up...we weren't seated until almost 8. They did give us 2 free apps for our trouble... but i wanted a pleasant dinner experience and not free apps. The service was mostly indifferent, similar to what I would expect from Denny's or IHOP. Portions were large, the food was tasty, and we have had many rounds of leftovers.
I had made my reservation a week before and noted in there about my daughters 16th Bday. I arrived at 6 to set up the balloons before I arrived and was no so nicely told I was early and handed a beeper. Really??? So instead of my daughter being surprised, she was met in the lobby with her balloons ..thank you.
Service was horrible, the poor waiter was running around like crazy, took 20 minutes to get our drinks, another 20 to get the coffee that we finally just cancelled.
Very disappointed. why are you not more prepared during the holidays, especially when reservations were made and confirmed.
Service was so bad, I would only consider doing take out at this point. Waiter took forever to come over to our table to start. Never refilled water glasses. Runner brought food when salads were still on table and the table wasn’t big enough to hold everything. We asked for red pepper and they never brought it. Water never came to check on us after runner brought food. Only when we were finished. Desert didn’t take as long but the check did. It wasn’t that great of a night and we had brought Family in for out of town. :-(
Food took a long time to come, and one part of desert (bar tour) was sub in without notifying us. Our waiter did everything he could to make us happy, including multiple trips downstairs to inquire. Overall food was good but the upstair table next to the wall with slow serving killed our festive mood.
The food portions are very generous and the prices reasonable - plus diners get an extra take-home entree included with each entree purchased! The service was excellent as was the food quality. The only drawback is that it is VERY NOISY due to being so crowded and busy. The wonderful Frank Sinatra and other big band era music that plays in the background is difficult to fully enjoy as a result. It had been several years since my last visit so I didn't remember much about the restaurant - however, noise notwithstanding, the food, price, and overall experience were well worth it and I definitely hope to return more often in the future!
Made reservations for 7:15, Host staff told me upon arrival that I would have to wait 15-20 minutes before getting my table which I reserved. This was the only thing that I was not pleased with. Waiting 18 minutes past my scheduled time was an inconvenience.
Wait staff was fantastic, food was wonderful.
We were a table of 11 and three times were asked to change our meal choices to family style. They were not busy, yet we always waited for refills. They forgot two of the meals and then brought out our to-go food before our deserts. They mixed up several of the to-go items and forgot others, we had to double check everything. We spent over $400 and received rude service by our two waiters, one of which disappeared most of the meal.
We had the best time and the best dinner ever, we had the Family Style Dinner WOW was it a lot of great food and every dish was amazing!!! Our server was Amanda so nice and also Chef R came to our table was so nice to talk to us for awhile. I will be happy to tell our friends what a great place this is. Thanks for a wonderful evening !!! Linda and Gary Brown.
Our experience was very disappointing. There4 was a man walking around with a bag of papers and coupons. He told us no bag for you as you are not a first time client. I thought the locals with repeat business are a valuable source of income year round. We finally got the bag with a bag $10 coupon after requesting it again.
He is rude, unprofessional, and repeated himself again and again and again. Surely you can take a lesson from Capital Grille...sparkles on the table, free dessert, and no harassment . We did mention it was our anniversary when we made the reservation. He gave us a piece of paper with a picture of cookies. No cookies were served...which was fine. He needs some training in customer service. we owned a large company in Vegas and never treated our guests this way
We reserved ahead of time and were seated over an 1 hr after our appointed time.
The server was pleasant but VeRy rushed.
We never received our To Go entrees.
A few of the orders arrived to the table incorrectly.
The sauces on a few entrees were "broken" oily or watery.
Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience and we are doubtful to return.
The dinner side salads and bread were great. The veal was way too salty. We could not eat it. In the past the veal was great. Management was kind an offered to make something else. We decided not to chance it so ask for our check. We offered to pay for the drinks and salads. They surprised us by not charging us at all. We did leave a tip for the waitress. The food was not her fault.
I had a $100 macaroni grill gift card that was redeemable at chili’s, on the boarder and maggiano’s. Maggiano’s was not able to accept my card. First they said there was no relationship. Then I pointed out the fine print on their own website about where it was redeemable. Then they told me they don’t accept e-gift cards. I said your website sells e-cards, but you don’t accept them? I couldn’t get a straight answer and no one was able to help me. I called there 1-800 customer service line and they said their gift card system was done and they couldn’t help me. Fantastic service!!!!
