Maggiano's - Schaumburg Ratings and Reviews
Service was very slow. Had to ask multiple times to get the dessert menu. Table was only set for two so we got our food and needed to then ask for silverware. Forgot to bring out our to go meals. Didn’t have a drink menu for us so had to blindly order drinks. Bill was incorrect and overcharged us. Food was great but the service was very poor.
Always enjoy Maggiano’s. Plenty of food and great service. There is always someone stopping by to check how you are doing without being intrusive. Place is normally packed, so a reservation is a must. Their buy a pasta dish and take an extra one home is always available and packed with value. Good quality food. Will definitely return.
Very crowded and somewhat noisy. Make reservations. The service and food was outstanding. Can’t beat the value of the two dinner special and then you also get two additional diners to take home. The tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely eat there again.
I had a salad and It wasn’t good and was really overpriced. A lot of lettuce but not much else. Our waiter was at our table when we first got there but then disappeared. No one filled my water glass. I think I’m done with this restaurant. Overrated and overpriced.
Maggiano's is a favorite of ours. However, they clearly did not staff properly for the holiday season. We waited 1.5 hrs and had to leave without having our main course delivered to our table. The mgr wanted to make it right for us and boxed it up and did not charge us for our lunch.
I would definitely go again, just not for lunch during the holiday season.
This is very disappointing to say but this restaurant needs to return to the days of opening. Family bowls, not this nonsense of taking a meal home, who wants to eat the same meal 2 days in a row? Also the sauces change every time you come, no consistency. This will be my last time
Nice lunch, good service, good food. A little confusing when I arrived, as they had trouble locating reservation and assumed I was there to buy a gift card because I was standing near that area. Server was very kind and food served quickly and they didn't rush us.
Ordered the eggplant parm was not hot loaded with sauce that was salty and to top it off !!!
There was a pice of shrimp shell in it
The manager thought it may have been plastic.
Not two great choices I’m sure it was a shrimp casing
Good thing I was not allergic to shell fish
This was my first disappointing visit to Maggiano's. Overall, as evidenced by the number of stars above, the restaurant fulfilled our expectations. That said, we often take our desserts home for later consumption. This was the first time, I ordered a dessert accompanied by ice cream. The bag with our desserts arrived and we proceeded to leave the facility when I noticed there was no ice cream. I returned to ask the host about it and I was informed it was Maggiano's policy to not include ice cream with take home desserts. If Baker's Square and other moderately priced restaurants can provide ice cream in thermal cups, I don't understand why Maggiano's doesn't. At a minimum, our server should have informed me of the policy when ordered so I could make a better informed decision or the price of the dessert should have reflected the missing scoop. This is not what I have come to expect from a restaurant we frequent several times a year. Also, the brownies themselves were almost cookie-like and not worth the money.
Maggianos does well, what it does: consistent, home-y, flavorful Italien food. There’s nothing incredibly creative or luscious, but doesn’t need to be, that’s not their brand. So appreciative that the chef ALWAYS comes out to talk about GF options. & the buy-1-take-1-home is a tasty & economical option. Only concern was when the last diner’s crumbs were left on the re-used table cloth. (The white cover strip ure laying down over part of the table, Maggianos, isn’t doing the trick!).
I was disappointed in our table location, we were crammed at a 2-top so close to the tables on either side that we had just enough space to slide into our chairs. Our table was against a wall but to the right was a table about 2' from us, just enough space for the server to slide in and out. Due to this, we could barely converse because the conversations around us were so close and very loud due to proximity. We have visited Maggiano's many times with large groups and I have always enjoyed myself, I don't think I would choose to dine as a date night again.
We arrived and the restaurant was already pretty busy but they sat us right on time for our reservation. Their parking lot was full but there is ample parking adjacent to the store. Service was just a little slow but we weren't in a hurry and enjoyed meeting with friends for a leisurely dinner. Food was delicious as usual.
