Rude bartender while waiting for our table. Criticized me for ordering a drink for my wife because our server had not tended to her as she was a late arrival. Sorry, I'm the paying customer and the bar was open for business.
Our reservations were at 7 and didn’t get seated until 7:40 then we waited another 20 minutes before we were acknowledged by the waitress. Food was good, warm not hot.
The wait staff and service were exceptional, including the hostess, waiter and manager. The food was good but not outstanding. The Chicken Piccata and Chick Parmesan were more bland than we expected, but the portion sizes were greater than expected. The fried mozzarella was very good and the presentation was nice on the platter serving dish. Parking at 630PM on a Saturday was a challenge and required parking at the theater and hiking back to the restaurant, although we could have used valet parking for an additional charge. I highly suggest making reservations as we heard walk-in customers being told there was a 2-hour wait time. Although the tables were all full and there was a lot of activity occurring, my wife and I were still able to hold a conversation without raising our voices to be heard by each other. Overall, a very enjoyable meal and I do recommend.
From Jody, general manager, to Louis, our waiter and everyone who greeted us or helped in our dinner - it was, once again, amazing!!!
First time my boyfriend had been there. He was very impressed and said we will definitely go back! Yeah for me
I met cousins for a reunion over dinner at Maggiano's, because it is quiet enough to hear across the table with 8 of us visiting and catching up. The food is excellent, never disappoints. Service is much better than average, but they did forget to bring bread a second time upon our request. North of San Antonio at the RIM shopping area is a good location -- easy to get in and out. They also have some gluten free dishes. I love going there.
The overall experience was excellent. We enjoyed brunch for the first time and the staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the menu and able to assist with placing our order; providing suggestions and recommendations. Also, the management followed-up with us regarding our overall experience. She thanked us for coming in with a smile. We love that reservations are always an option and look forward to coming back soon.
The service was excellent. All staff were very attentive. The dinning room was a little loud but it was a Friday night. The food was delicious and we got a lot for the money. Will definitely be coming back!
We have been to this restaurant many times and everything had been great but this time we went everything was bad. The table we sat at must have been by the kitchen when the workers would walk by they continually hit the back of my sons chair to where he had to move. We ordered salad and soup and it came out after our meal instead of before. Our drinks were never filled, twice we had to ask another waiter for our drinks to be filled because ours never came by. When my spaghetti came out it was slopped in a bowl the whole presentation of the plates were not good. I had to ask another waiter for a plate for my spaghetti so I would have to no eat it out of a bowl. The noise level and constant interruption of the waiters/waitresses walking back and forth made our whole dinner experience a poor one. It will be a very long time before we go back if we even do. It seems like this restaurant has just become a fast food restaurant and not the restaurant we have known in the past. For the next question I am choosing one but do not think I would recommend this restaurant for anything.
Eddy and his staff there are marvelous hosts and treat everyone like family!
The lasagna is outstanding. The veal Marsala is consistently excellent. The wait staff is solicitous. The was a mix up on the salad order, but it was corrected quickly.
The Food Was Great & Worth Every Penny!
The service was outstanding!
Oh one more thing....ready? If you order a classic you get to take another home of your choose for freee!
I always have higher expectations for Maggiano’s than they can deliver. Whether it’s pre-ordered dinners, or just a business dinner with an intuitive waiter, they never hit the mark. I do come back for the food, even though I believe it’s A bit more expensive than it’s worth. Sorry, but at least I keep coming back hoping for better
Excellent service from Kendra & Javier the sky’s chef. A member of our party has a food allergy& he made her meal from scratch including her restrictions. Thank you.
Excellent food & service. Jacob was a very attentive waiter.
My family was looking forward to trying Maggiano’s brunch, since we’ve enjoyed other meals there. Today was a bit of a letdown. I food and the service was very average. There were multiple missteps with the service, including not receiving our meals until noon when we were ready to order by 11:20. My food was lukewarm, so I’m guessing it had been sitting for awhile.
The very wrinkled table cloth was my first clue things weren’t up to standard. I will say our drinks were routinely filled, so all was not a disappointment.
We like Maggiano’s and will return, though not likely for brunch.
Great food very efficient staff. Will definitely be visiting again.
Excellent food and service were tremendous. Italian tradition at its best.
Great dinner experience! Food and service was great!
Yes and no. Atmosphere, service was great. Food could have had a bit more spice to it. Meatballs were bland and other things were too salty because of the Italian Sausage that was used.
It was a great experience, it was my girlfriend and I’s first time there, we were celebrating our anniversary and the manager made it appoint to greet us personally and welcoming us the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and the food was excellent, can’t ask for more than that.
Was very good, took a Birthday lady and she had a ball. She couldn't stop saying how amazing the food and service was, and the Chef was Awesome.....
This is a great place for special occasions. My husband and I always love to celebrate our anniversary here!!!!
Paris was excellent will ask for him again when dining.
When craving good Italian food, my family’s go to is Maggiano’s.
Great food and ambiance
Always excellent food and value. Service was slow unfortunately; takes away from the overall high marks.
Wonderful environment and GREAT dining!!!!
Food and atmosphere was very good. Service wasn’t as good as it normally is.
Great attention and detail to Bday person.
Had a great server named Paris. Great food suggestions.
My first experience at Maggiano's was incredible. I blown away by the delicious food and portions. Our waitress Katelyn was so lovely, always checking on us, answering our many questions. And the manager Peggy was super sweet too, checking on us, engaging in friendly conversation. Highly recommend!
Very good experience for my wife's Birthday.
My sons 13 birthday. Food was great!!! Waiter was very attentive and everything was on point. This is my sons annual birthday dinner spot
Charming Italian restaurant, quiet table service, wonderful staff. Excellent Italian food.
We've been there so many times, Eddie, the host knows us when we walk in. I do love that he remembers us and is always so nice. He even knew that we had never been there for brunch! The food is always good and even better leftover (which I don't normally eat leftover food). I do have to say I didn't care for the BLT Benedict at Brunch but it just seemed a little too spicy for me and I couldn't really taste the other flavors. Our server was very good and attentive and of course everything else (the bread, YUM!) was excellent!!
The food is always good but our service was poor at our last visit. We had to ask for more water and tea and still didn’t get it until we asked again. The food took much longer than usual to get to our table. Overall the service was disappointing.
Without the open table reservation, the wait would have been 45 minutes
We love the food here! We live north of Stone Oak and would love if they put a location out towards us. We would dine more often here if it was closer. Our server (Buddy) was absent often when we needed things so our dinner did end up being 2 hours long which was not fun with 3 kids. Chicken Picatta and Lasagna are our favorites and the kids love the Ravioli from the adult menu with the alfredo pesto sauce and the red sauce.
