Our server was amazing! So much food! Great value!
Family meal for 10, wonderful everything!
The food was much better than we expected. Our server was very pleasant even though she had too many tables. The noise level was high with lots of large business groups. It took the hostess awhile to find us a table, she even forgot who we were(she came back and asked if we needed any help). She too was very busy with ever increasing in number convention groups. Tables and chairs were moving fast. We would definitely go back when looking for standard Italian fare.
Our table for 17 people was very cramped, in the middle of the room. We were definitely bumping elbows the entire meal. Suggest adding an extra table for large groups to allow more room, especially if they are going to push the Family Style menu. Once you add a lot of plates to the table, there is little room for even a wine glass. It is always crowded in there so the noise level is very high, making it hard to hear, especially a group of 17. Food was great, but they could definitely improve allotted space for large groups.
Delicious food. Loved the seasonal special with calamari. I would return
Poor service since we were only a table for two. Very ignored
We checked in a few minutes early. They had my name and no problem with the open table reservation but they sent us to the bar because they said they were backed up. We went and had a drink but started to get antsy when 30 minutes passed. We were there with four kids and it was now 9pm. We asked again at the front desk and they said they had no record of us checking in. When we saw the girl who confirmed our res and sent us to the bar, they semi-apologized and immediately brought us to a table. We ordered an appetizer, two adult dishes, drinks and four kids meals. The adult dinners came out, no sign of the app, the drinks or the kids meals. After we were half way through our meals we told them not to bother with the appetizer at that point, but could they please check on the kids meals. I don’t know what happened there but they came out about 20 min after ours. Two repeated requests of drinks never made it out either. They were surly and completely unapologetic. The food was fine - typical chain Italian but the service was atrocious. Worst open table restaurant experience ever.
Abundant and delicious food, super sweet and professional waiter, fun atmosphere - awfully rude and pretentious front of house. Reservation for 17 people for 7:30, refused to seat us until all 17 were there. I had to lie and say it was just 15 coming and we still had to wait 30 minutes for our table.
Birthday celebration - great looking restaurant with amazing food!
Just go to chee
The only reason why I gave 4 starts for service sas because KIM whom was not even our waitress helped us a couple times because our waiter seemed distracted and overwhelmed
Great evening! Good comfort food, great plates to share and the best waiter ever!
Nice place next to convention center. Would recommend for decent Italian food and convenient spot.
Great food, nice service, nice place for a good meal.
Overall everything was pretty good. In Philly from out of town and would definitely go back.
Too many salads with blue cheese and no other cheese options. Iceberg lettuce? Ugh. But the lobster carbonara was delicious with ample fresh and tasty lobster.
Bit pricy compared with other locatinns
Excellent food, romantic ambiance, good prices. Would recommend it!
It was especially busy and seemed understaffed. Our usual server, Jeff, was his wonderful self but WAY too busy with too many tables to serve. We were late leaving and had to hurry to the theater to be on time. We'll see how the next visit goes.
The food was very good. You accommodated us as a la carte even though we were a party of 16. Staff was great.
Great meal, has the clam linguine, lots of clams, the bruschetta tasting on the appetizer was really good, our favorite was the bacon one. We were seated in the back in a quieter room, it was very noisy
Our waitress was wonderful. She was very attentive. Food was good but one dish was cold. We had a very good time
Waitress was pleasant and engaging, sous chef came out to speak with us about daughter’s food allergies and menu selection.
Our meal was very good - consistently enjoyable.
Maggiano’s was amazing. The food was delicious! The service was exceptional. I will definitely recommend to friends and family and will return. The lemon biscuits at the end was our favorite part! It was perfect from the beginning to end of our meal
We booked online late in the day and didn’t realize it booked us for the following day. They quickly found a way to accommodate the reservation and the food was awesome as usual.
Food and service were very good. We had a party of 11 and did family style dining. They made the night very enjoyable for everyone. This was the second year in a row our group went to Maggianos Center City Philadelphia and I'm sure we will do it again next year for our get together.
We had so much fun dining at Maggiano’s! Great experience!
Maggiano's is a once a year event for myself and when my kids hit a certain age, for them. I take my child when I go for the Philly Hot Chocolate race. This year, we hit traffic and were 45 minutes late for our reservation. The staff accommodated us anyway, graciously, I might add. Realizing that it was my daughter's first visit to Philly and a "Mommy/Daughter" weekend, Kelly went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it special. She paid special attention to my daughter, made her beverage look very adult (so adult that I got the same one!), brought out her dessert with candles and a flourish, and was just overall fantastic. Even when a larger party was seated near us, Kelly continued to be on her game, tending to our every need and making sure that we had refills, doggie bags, dessert, etc. I really love this restaurant and the positive way they interact with their guests. Thank you for making four years of these visit super sweet!
Ariana was fabulous. She was so sweet and so kind to us and wished us good luck on our race the following day. Everyone was so kind and had great customer service. Can’t wait to go back again soon!!
Great place near the convention center thst has a very good reputation for a chain. The choice of food and service was better than most places I've been to recently. The beef medallions were exceptional and we matched it with a nice bottle of Napa Cabernet.
I love the ambiance of this restaurant. Our server was the sweetest and very patient. We ordered the Italian sausage flatbread, which was great for an appetizer. My boyfriend got the 4 cheese ravioli & I stick with the classic spaghetti & meatball. Absolutely delicious, no complaints. We decided on the 5 dessert sampler which we wound up getting to-go as we were too full. The creme brûlée was divine, as was the cheesecake. The noise level was a bit loud but only because we were next to a large party which there’s nothing you can do about that.
Outstanding food and service! Put it on your list must places to go for dinner in Philadelphia.
Due to being super crowded, the experience was a bit diminished with over a 30 minute wait beyond our confirmed reservation, plus eventually a very tight table in major walkway.
Seated promptly, wait staff friendly and attentive, food outstanding
The food is very good and the portions are large. We could have easily shared an entree; however, if you can take your leftovers home they’d make a good lunch the next day. We were visiting from Oregon so had to leave the uneaten food there. Our server was fun with a great personality. We’d go back if ever in Philadelphia again.
Our food was excellent, but service left some to be desired. Our salads arrived after our entrée. So we chose to decline those. It was a very busy evening and we felt very rushed by the busboy to finish our meal and clear out. Plates were removed whilel utensils were still in hand and last bites were still being chewed. Then when our checks arrived, the salads appeared on them even though we were told they would be taken off. This was corrected and the manager did listen to our concerns, but it was a disappointing dining experience.
We had a great meal and great service. The restaurant was PACKED and I was really glad we had a reservation. It was pretty noisy and there was not much room to move my chair.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. Great Italian food.
Maggiano's was fine. The desserts were the highlight of the meal. The restaurant was very busy the night we were dining. We were a large party of 10+ and there were several large parties eating. Everything took forever and I mean forever......With dessert we were there 2 hours and 45 minutes. Too long. Much of that time was spent waiting. Just waiting. The service was good. Our server was busy and he was trying his best and that was apparent. If you have average expectations and plenty of time....then Maggiano's should work.
We went for brunch. They did not have their 2 most popular desserts. I got another dessert that with brownies that was hard and stale. The cappuccino was watery. It was a very disappointing experience.
