Maggiano's - Perimeter Ratings and Reviews
Great service, great food, great value. While it is a chain, I believe this location does a great job of making the diners feel appreciated and provide a wonderful meal. Loved that the inside was all decorated for Christmas and was clean and cozy as always. Can’t beat the buy one entree, bring one home deal. We are pleased every time we dine here.
Food was delicious & the service was timely, friendly yet professional. The atmosphere @ Maggiano's is always festive..(imagine dinner at a family re-union but w/fine china, tablecloths but w/o aunt Mae's pasta salad). Great place for special events & large groups.
My overall experience was okay, food was okay too, nothing spectacular. I was disappointed because they didn’t have any meaty lasagna, I went thinking I was going to an Italian restaurant, so for surely they’d have a variety of lasagnas. I should’ve googled the menu, oh well...
An overpriced Olive Garden with no salad & no herbs on the plate for the bread dip. Want Italian food? Don't eat here, Carrabbas, Olive Garden, or Cheesecake Factory near the Perimeter Mall. All 4 make bland, unfortunate piles of something resembling food with little to no love, good tasting sauces, and the restaurants with carpets all smell awful. The acoustics in this restaurant is loud & obnoxious, the layout is cluttered & uncomfortable. Don't go to the bathroom, it's up a flight of stairs or elevator ride and everyone knows why you're going up. My daughter's pasta was dried out with little to no olive oil and nearly dry enough to put back in the package it came from.
For many years, our family ( a group of nine) has dined at this Maggianios the Friday evening after Thanksgiving. This time around, the food was only fair, and the service was poor. There were two times during the dinner that we had to ask another server to find our waiter. My daughter's dinner arrived 7 min after the rest of us had received our meals. Then, we waited (for what seemed to be an eternity) for the check...had to finally get the manager. This dinner was a big disappointment and we all decided that next year, we need to start a new tradition.
Maggianos has been our go-to special occasion restaurant for about 10 years and we have never had a bad experience until now. Service was very slow (though dining room was less than had full), food was not as good as we are used to from other locations, and they did not acknowledge my wifes Birthday.
Normally go to Cobb Galleria, and that is where we will go in the future
We have eaten here previously, but were disappointed at the Thanksgiving holiday menu. We ordered ham and turkey, but the waiter brought two plates of turkey and says "We're out of ham." We ordered the chocolate cake dessert, but they were out of that, too. We had carryouts, but restaurant was out of bags.
Bill with tip was over $200 for three people. We expected better.
We had a Thanksgiving dinner here, and we do not think we will come for Thanksgiving here again. Turkey was not tasty. Some sides (corn and spinach) were not that great. Salads, dessert, ham, sweet potatoes, and pasta dishes were good. Service could be improved. Magianno's is great for a regular lunch or dinner, but not for Thanksgiving.
First time my wife and I have ever dined out for Thanksgiving. So it was important to choose the right restaurant. So glad we chose Maggiano's. The food was excellent! The turkey was moist, the sweet potatoes were perfect, the pasta was absolutely the best! The service was top notch and the dessert was divine! The environment was friendly, the servers were attentive and prompt. And the best part...(drum roll) we bought home boxes of food!! We got to experience this thanksgiving meal another day!! Thank you Maggiano's. A new tradition has begun!!
I love Maggiano's and always have. We went to our first Thanksgiving Dinner there around 5 years ago and was amazed at how good it was especially the stuffing! HOWEVER, this time, I don't know what you changed but the stuffing was not great. In fact, I'm not sure if it was even cooked all the way. Scallions that were in it were NOT cooked all the way. All we could taste was scallions. This is our only complaint. It just wasn't the same. You usually make a good sausage stuffing. Hardly any sausage and all bread. It was just not great. I was bragging to my friends that we brought with us for the first time, how great the stuffing was. Anyway, we were disappointed in that. Sorry for this negative comment but for next year, please work on the stuffing.
We had the thanksgiving 4 course dinner. It was a lot of food and saved us from cooking! We actually had about 5 to go containers as well. The chocolate cake was to die for. I was really hoping the pumpkin cheesecake was good but it was just okay. Would definitely recommend it and go again.
Reservations for Thanksgiving lunch at 11. Slow to get seated even with reservations. Wait staff was very nice. Didn’t realize we would be restricted to the Thanksgiving special dinner which was disappointing. Had to order two of each course to share. The salads were barely dressed, the turkey wasn’t seasoned but wasn’t dry either, served with little dressing and a spoonful of gravy. Had to ask for more gravy. Dressing was really wet and no seasoning. Had the Parmesan crusted tilapia which was also bland. Overall would not recommend them for their food but service was good.
We requested a special table on arrival, for a special occasion and two guests with special needs. The manager jumped in and offered to accommodate us. The server, Adrian, was exceptional and took care of all of our needs. We had a very pleasant get together, and are sincerely thankful to Maggianos Perimeter for that.
We have also enjoyed Maggianos Buckhead, Oak Brook, downtown Chicago, South Coast Plaza California, and Las Vegas. The menu gets tweaked with new offerings, but the old favorites are always there...especially love the Maggainos Salad.
Food was good, server waa attentive and had a good sense of humor. We were very engaged in conversation and didn't notice how long we stayed and we were not bothered or made feel uncomfortable for this. Got to bring home a lot of food since if you order pasta they give you an extra to bring home and i didn't eat all of mine. My friend asked if she could bring home the leftover bread and was actually brought a bag of fresh bread
