Everything was great except we paid for the More expensive pasta and received the wrong "take home" item...
Food is always good as well as the service
The service was the best we ever had. And the food was outstanding too.
We were there for my son's 21st birthday. The service presented by Lavell was excellent! His attention to our needs made for a worry free afternoon. And the food was perfect. According to my Daughter the food she had at the Maggiano's in Philadelphia, PA was not as good; And I can say the same for the service and food and St. Louis, MO. You have a remarkably good chef. The experience at your location was perfect. Thank you for helping to make my son's birthday special.
Always a great place to eat and meet up with friends and family
Portions are generous, even the lighter fare selections, so there is always something to come home with for the next day, even if you don't order the pasta with the take home option. Food was good and fast and friendly service despite being packed. Good options for family style as well.
Great time ! Food was great and service was excellent
I have been at this place many time and the food is always great
Maggiano's is very careful about food allergies. As a mother of a child with food allergies, I am grateful for their willingness to work around food restrictions to make it a safe dining experience
Service was poor, food menu has changed and the quality has changed. Not happy at all and this one of my favorite places. No more..so disappointed.
Competent and decent food but if you are looking for more you will be disappointed.
We arrived 15 min before our reservation. Hostess informed us we would be seated shortly. Went to our table (we were 5 guests) and the table was set for 4! No excuse for that. Additionally, the silverware from a couple of settings was dirty.
Server was friendly but really no more than an order taker. Drinks took a very long time to arrive.
Food was ok, for what it is.
will we return. yes. Like I wrote above, food is decent and the place is convenient. It is not, however, a standout restaurant for anything more than a quick bite to eat.
Food was very good, host seemed to have issues seating us at the reserved time. Waitress was nice overall but serving etiquette was a little lacking. When I go to IHOP and spend $50 for a dinner for 4 I expect to get handed a drink over the table and feel rushed to leave. When I spend $140 I like to feel like it should be a higher level of an experience. Not awful by any means just thought the service quality didn’t match the food quality.
Great meal with our daughter. Great service and food was outstanding!
Very consistent. Well executed dishes and good value with the take home pasta.
My wife like Maggiano's in Old Orchard because it's convenient and has a wide enough menu selection that you can have a multi-course meal or just do your own version of "small plates" by selecting a variety of appetizers. They make decent cocktails, and the prices aren't through the roof like some full service restaurants. We also noticed that their staff stays pretty stable--it seems like they have their A team on Fridays when we typically go, and we appreciate the hard work they all put in. We also did a family event here a few years ago in their downstairs banquet area. They did a really nice job with that as well. In short, have always had a positive experience.
We had a wonderful lunch
The food was outstanding
Went there with my husband expecting to choose from the lighter fare pasta. I especially like the way the fettuccini is done in the light sauce with chicken and asparagus. I was disappointed to find out that there is no lighter fare pasta available ( at least from the "buy one, take one home" selection. I asked the server if there were any at all and she confirmed that there weren't. We have been Maggiano's regulars for years but this will keep me from going more regularly. I watch what I eat and love pasta so this was a huge disappointment to me. The server was lovely, however.
Always awesome. Great food great service great ambiance
Excellent food and pleasant waitress
Consistently good food. Pricing OK but portion sizes should be bigger for the price. Wait staff not so good. They have too many tables. But I will return because of the food.
Wonderful meal and best waiter (LeVal)
While our meal was great, our poor server seemed a bit over worked (maybe some one called off that night?) She did her best, but she seemed to be handling too many tables at once to really give any attention to one. Also, on a personal note, I wish that you'd bring back the pasta primavera. It was taken off the menu a while ago, but it was a great, lighter, vegetarian friendly dish that I often ordered (I'm not a vegetarian but I liked it as an option when I didn't want a heavier dish.)
Excellent service and food your
Their two-for-one classic pasta dishes are really worth it. I would only wish they would use more meat in the dishes that come with a meat and pasta. It feels a bit short-changed.
Reservation time was honored, friendly, prompt, professional service and delicious meals.
Outstanding service and food! Great value!
New Years Eve dinner with friends, food was delicious! Reservation on time very little wait time. Servers were good just a really busy night. Overall great experience.
My husband and I visited Maggiano's for New Year's Eve and had a wonderful experience.
The staff was personable and the atmosphere was wonderful!
We may visit next year for New Year's Eve again!!!
The food was great as usual. Drinks are always pleasant. Service was a little slow; but it was NYE, didn’t expect our second round of drinks to take as long as it did (at one point my friend and I thought our waiter forgot). Other than that, it was a pleasure going. Our waiter was very nice and outgoing. Food was excellent. Atmosphere is always nice inside. Love going there.
Great food and a fantastic waiter!
I've been to Maggiano's - Old Orchard many, many times and this was a disappointment. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and waited 20 minutes AFTER our reservation time to be seated. Our original waiter seemed confused or un-trained. We got our drinks one at a time, had to wait to place our order. Our appetizers came out individually about 10 minutes apart. About an hour into our dinner, we were told that our waiter was sick. So now we've just been exposed to his illness. I am a vegan and there were literally few options for me to choose. I ate steamed broccoli and spinach for my dinner. Somehow my plain salad order didn't make it to the kitchen. The gentleman who then was assigned our table did his best to recover our experience, however it was just so bad that we couldn't believe we were at Maggiano's. Truly sad and disappointing.
Overall a disappointing dinner experience. We’ve been to this Maggiano’s Old Orchard location many times in the past and it’s always been great so i am not sure what happened this time. For starters, we had a 6:30pm reservation and we were not seated until 6:50pm. Once seated my wife received a dirty water glass. My lemonade came with lipstick on the glass which I didn’t notice until I started drinking from it 🤢. All of our entrees came except for my wife’s which the runner that delivered it said it would be right out. It didn’t come out for another 5 to 7 minutes which she had to just sit there and watch us eat. We were also sat at a table where right behind us must have been the busser’s silverware setup station because during our whole dinner it was hard for us to carry a conversation due to the loud noise of the silverware either being sorted or bring grabbed from behind us. To make things worse we could hear some employees swearing in Spanish (a big fail with us having children at the table). On a bright note our server was very nice and these issues are not a reflection of him and his service but this definitely was not a good experience overall and I’m not sure we will ever be back.
Service appeared to be short handed. Waiting times during the meal were rather long. Dessert took long time. Would not have ordered it if knew it was going to take so long for a mini creme brulee
bruschetta sampler was very good, especially the pear/blue cheese/balsamic version. My husbands Prime Rib was cooked perfectly, the light version of the Chicken Piccata was good (but the original is better) and desserts excellent (apple crostata and Gigi’s Butter Cake). Server was very pleasant but a little over extended so service was a little slow- but it was a busy holiday, so no worries!
We ordered off the Family Style Menu. The service was fantastic and the food was totally worth the price.
The food was great as usual but our regular server was on vacation. Our waiter was acting like he was on vacation because he ignored our table never asked if I wanted a refill on our Beverages and made a rude comment about me not drinking.
Always good food here
We were 15 minutes late and they sat us within minutes wonderful food
The food as always was perfect. However, when I told the waitress that I wanted ziti with meat sauce as my take home I was told I couldn’t because they were pre-packaged. That I had to settle for spaghetti. Oddly - when I was at Maggiano’s in Oak Brook a month ago they had no issue with it. The waitress made no effort to even see if they could do it. She was also quick to leave the table. My one guest had wanted coffee, but she walked away before my guest could get the words out. So, the food is good as always. Our waitress was less then good.
Service was amazing. Their food isn’t anything super amazing but the buy one take one deal is great
