Fabulous food, service and atmosphere...must try stuffed mushrooms!
We went to Maggiano's before the Joe Lovano show so it was early and filled with families dining out. This made the noise level louder than if we had gone later.
We enjoyed our entrees, Tuscan shrimp and pasta carbonara. However, our carrot cake dessert left a lot to be desired. The cream cheese filling was awful and the cake had no carrot flavor to speak of. Not the quality we would expect from a LTY restaurant.
My entree was a little less quality(more pasta and less eel) and the dessert was smaller than usual both hard to judge if it is new food system in place or different chef than usual.
My son’s college roommate-to-be and family were in town from New Jersey, so we needed a place where they could relax after a long day of travel and sightseeing, and our families could get to know each other over dinner. Maggiano’s was even more perfect than we anticipated. We had a reservation for nine, the table was ready when we arrived, the kids enjoyed getting to know each other, we parents had a delightful conversation — and the food! Calamari, pasta dishes, salads, wine and beer. I never knew Maggiano’s had a kids menu, which was especially helpful for our picky eater. The noise level around us was just loud enough to encourage lively conversation in our regular voices, and just low enough to allow us to hear each other well around a long table. Our waiters were wonderful — attentive without being obvious, never making us feel rushed — and we never had an unmet need in the 2 1/2 hours we spent there. We’ve been longtime patrons here for date nights, but this is the first time we’ve brought our entire family here. We most certainly will be back. Thanks for providing the setting for a wonderful, memorable evening. Our two families met as strangers and left as friends.
We were seated promptly on arrival in a comfortable booth, greeted shortly by our server (who was very friendly, but rushed through his lengthy introduction to the menu so I couldn't really follow along), and our food came out quickly and tasted great. Prices are average, but the "compliments of the chef" menu is a steal (choose from one of about eight basic pasta options, around $16-20 for dinner, and get a free one to take home for lunch the next day). Drinks were reasonable ($9 for a cocktail as opposed to $11-12 at restaurants of a similar price point). Overall we had a great time and dined in about 1 hour and 45 minutes for entrees and dessert.
We had a wonderful lunch. OUr Waiter, Hector was very nice. The chef came out to talk to my dughter about the gluten free options. The man who brought the bread and water was also very pleasant.
Service was a bit off as the waitress was more interested in pushing several dishes...repeatedly even after we said we were not interested.
We ordered the gluten free Fettuccini Alfredo and it came with penni pasta noodles and when we questioned the waitress she said she told us that was the only gluten free noodles they had, but this happened after the fact. The dish was the lighter version and looked more like soup with a half an inch of liquid on the bottom of the bowl.
With dessert, the waitress again tried to push the carrot cake on us even after we ordered the Tiramisu, which was excellent.
We had a wonderful meal. Our server Hector was fabulous and the manager Adam was just as kind. Both of them went above and beyond to make my best friend and I's meals special. Our food was delicious and arrived in perfect time. I could not have imagined a better experience!
We go to Maggiano's often. It's a great place to catch-up with friends, though a little noisy sometimes. This can't be helped, though.
We all ordered the pasta that we could also take home.
Really wonderful meal. We celebrated a birthday with close family, and everything was great form start to finish. Thank you!
They were very very busy and I think understaffed.
The pasta was excellent! Well worth the money. It was my third time eating here and I plan to return soon.
Maggiano's has good food and service. It's convenient to Northlight Theater which is just 4 blocks away. It was quiet so we could converse at our table.
We hadn't eaten at Maggianos for a few years. It was even better than I remembered. The food was delicious. Their portions are generous and it's a great value since they give you a second meal from a select number of choices for free.
We have loved Maggiano’s for a long time—in fact, I met my husband there on a blind date! My husband always wants to return, but I have one suggestion—I would really appreciate a few choices that were Weight Watcher friendly. It’s hard to find an entree on the menu that is 600 calories. I usually get a side chopped salad with a piece of grilled salmon and I’m happy.
Everything was fine except we were seated in the bar area. Very noisy and we should have been seated in the dining room since we had reservations.
Birthday dinner for friends daughter.. lots of fun, food and service excellent!
For a large party on a Saturday night we were impressed that we did not have to wait to long for our reserved table. The wait staff was outstanding and always checked on the group.
Delicious food with great value. Loved the spaghetti and meatballs.
Everything was fantastic, our waiter, the food, everything!
Maggiano's is a favorite stop when we visit other cities. The menu is always delightful; the service at Old Orchard was above and beyond!
Menu is too heavy for lunch.
We had ordered the classic specials and one of our orders did not get sent home. Should’ve been 7 rather than 6.
We were missing an Eggplant Parma. We’ve going here for years and this hasn’t ever happened so it was prob the end of a long shift.
Alyssa, our server, was really helpful and nice. Great dinner
We had a great time at Easter brunch, the food and the cocktails were excellent. The staff was very attentive!
My wife and I ordered from the brunch menu - the frittata and hash were as always delicious ... Maggiano’s seldom fails on the food quality
Our server was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humor so we were a winner on that as well
Attentive service. Family style is the best.
Great Italian food - abundant servings - friendly wait staff - extra attention if you have food allergies
We loved our server! The food was good. The only negative was that it took to long to get dessert.
A good Maggianos. I am visiting on multiple weekends this week and this one is as good as my normal one in Tysons VA
Our food was outstanding. Kamin was our server and he was marvelous. Our food was perfectly timed. My salad was out of this world.
Great kick off to Easter weekend!
Food was delicious. Attentive wait staff. Really really crowded with tables jammed together. Usually not this crowded. Rigatoni D is perfection as usual. Lemon cookies are amazing. We will be back.
I love Maggiano's and have been to one in three different states! Always good, consistent, and good service.
Service was rushed. Will not order frito misto again, small haphazard selection. Service person up sold us to a package meal that was more expensive than what we would have paid al carte. She was distressed we did not select her recommendation for dessert. My husband doesn't like lemon - and it isn't just because he didn't try Maggiano's lemon. I still love there spaghetti and meatballs and will hope for less pushy and better service next time.
Hit or miss this time was a miss food not all the way cooked
Waitress started with an attitude
Fabulous food, and fabulous waiter. We've been here before and will certainly be back again.
We choose Maggiano’s Old Orchard as our date night restaurant. We love the ambiance, the food and the service .
We were very disappointed in our meal. The salmon was not flakey, but hard and chewy. The lasagna w marinara was a meat lasagna. They should have a vegetarian lasagna option. It will be our last visit here. Don’t understand why it’s so crowded. There are much better Italian restaurants around.
Excellent service, great food and very nice environment.
