We love Italian food and Maggiano’s never disappoints. The ambiance, music and red and white table clothes is old Italy. The food was delicious and hot. The server was attentive, smiled and friendly. The parking was horrendous! It took 15 minutes to finally park the car.
The food and service are awesome! Our waitress was very attentive, the hostess sat us right away. We really enjoyed our meal.
Maggianos hosted our only daughter’s college graduation dinner. Everything was fantastic, from the table, service and exceptional food and wine. They even accommodated a last minute addition to our party. Everyone had a fantastic meal and celebration. Thanks for making this very special occasion PERFECT!
A wonderful place to have a little birthday party. Everything was just great.
Nephews high school graduation
The food was delicious and the service was great!!
Our waiter was super busy but he was great and fast. I appreciate his hard work. I don't remember his name sorry.
Bar needs more craft beer selections.
We hadn’t been to Maggianos in along time, thought we’d try it again...big mistake! 3 of the 5 of us got very sick that night from the food!!!
We had a variety of dishes, but commonly ate the stuffed mushrooms & calamari apps. Not sure what but we won’t be returning!
Excellent food and service. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and personable.
Food was incredible. Service was so fast. Our waitress was good. Overall, really satisfied.
Food was good but I ordered the caprese salad and it came with no mozzarella ! And our server was no where to be found during the whole meal.
Waitress Lily TERRIFIC! Rest of staff
unfriendly & unprofessional, bordering on rude. What's happened to your restaurant?!?! Ladies' bathroom disgusting. Water all over. Paper all over floor. Some stalls did not have paper. AND the banquet rooms were not occupied, so that can't be your excuse. It will be a long time before I return & I certainly won't recommend to my friends anymore. Clean up your act -- all around!!!
Delicious food always! Risotto appetizers are to die for, so yummy. Service is so attentive and polite. Restaurant is loud but it’s okay, as long as you know that ahead of time. Hadn’t been there for a while and forget that when you order a classic pasta dish, you get a free one to take home. Great value.
Very good to excellent Italian fare. Veal Marsala was very good. Fruti de Mari was a very generous serving, filled with seafood. Service was attentive and thoughtful.
Having Mother's Day dinner was very nice. Everything was just right. Really appreciated that we were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner and able to visit for a while. Service was excellent considering a busy holiday, Very enjoyable. Thank you for making my Mother's Day a great day.
Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed our Mother's Day brunch at Maggiano's, but we were disappointed that the regular brunch menu was not available. When I made our reservation a month in advance, I mentioned that we wanted to order from regular brunch menu. At that point, Maggiano's had not decided if it was offering a Mother's Day buffet. When I confirmed our reservation a few days in advance, I noticed that a buffet had been added, but I was told that we would be seated upstairs and could order from the regular menu. When we were seated, we found out we could only get a limited selection of brunch items from the family-style menu. Since a few people in our group were hoping to have brunch, we ordered family-style, but it made our meal more complicated trying to agree on each course and 3 entrées for 9 people with different preferences and dietary issues. Service was friendly and helpful, but we had a long wait for entrées. One entrée received was incorrect - eggs Benedict with smoked salmon instead of ham - but we kept it because it was so similar to what was ordered. Family-size portions did not seem as generous as they have been in the past, especially for the shrimp scampi entrée where we received one dish with a meager amount of shrimp for 9 of us and had to request more. It was a good experience, but could have been better.
Mother’s Day and graduation
Overall was a good experience. Pasta was little undercooked
Our waitress was a bit off? Rude? Not sure but she wasn’t pleasant. She didn’t explain the Mother’s Day brunch/special to us very well and seemed annoyed by our questions. We were sat by a wall that lead to the kitchen area and behind the wall was where the water carafes were kept. We kept having water spilled on us by the waiters and waitresses slamming the water carafes down and rushing off. We had told one of the women and she just said “oh sorry never thought about that” and left it at that. Not even an apology. Another sad example of our waitress, was that we had gotten the flavored teas as our beverages. She didn’t tell us about only one refill - which is fine but would have been nice to know since we spent a lot of time waiting for food to come out and sipped on our drinks. One of the people in our party said to the waitress that she would like to wait to bring her refill out with the entree, and the waitress had to problems about this. But when she brought it out it wasn’t the peach flavored tea. When we said as such (it tasted like watered down, flavorless tea) the waitress argued and said she did put the syrup in there. She took it back but had just dumped it into a different style glass and brought out the SAME drink! It was the same color and taste. That was an absolute joke how rude she was over this. We didn’t say anything else because we didn’t want to cause a scene and it was Mother’s Day. We were trying to enjoy the day and our meal. But our waitress was making it difficult.
We’ve been to this Maggianos before and it was amazing! And had a great time. So we thought we would have a similar experience. Unfortunately we weren’t so lucky.
We expected the restaurant to be busy because of Mother's Day but to be served food after an hour of being seated is not acceptable to me. The food was good but pasta was hard. The waitress spilled water on my child - I told her to calm down in the busyness. It will be a while before I come back to Maggiano's
Our server was awesome!! It was Mother’s Day and extremely busy and he did a great job with all of his tables!!!
I specifically called to ask about the menu and was told there would be a full brunch menu. That was not the case. The waitress was rude and the food was disappointing including the Bloody Mary!
Called ahead and was expecting standard brunch menu with plenty of breakfast options - confirmed ahead of time. When arrived was told only serving special Mother’s Day family menu or dinner....at 10am. Family style menu had extremely limited breakfast options and no lemon ricotta pancakes I keep hearing about. French toast was good, rest was so-so. Would not go back.
Had a wonderful meal, the food was excellent and our waitress was exceptional and very helpful in assisting us with our indecisiveness in choosing our entrees. In addition, we stayed for hours (catching up with an old friend) after our meal and they never made us feel as if though we were overextending our stay. Look forward to dining there again!
It’s all good, what’s not to like!
We’re having our son’s baby shower there next month.
Not having to worry about the food is a big part of it.
My overall experience was great! Me and my boyfriend celebrated our graduation from U of I with both are family and friends. We chose to do family style which was perfect for our party of 8. You get a generous amount of quality food WITH REFILLS. Im very happy with my experience!
I love Maggiano's for some reason my Rigatoni D wasn't' as good as usual. Other than that, great as always.
Service was very slow this time. 5 minutes before our server came over
As always Maggiano"s delivers. There were six of us and everyone had a wonderful meal. The service was good and we certainly were not rushed. A great lunch with the girls.
We love Maggiano's at Old Orchard. The only negatives are the sound. It's difficult to have a conversation. Also, the lighting is disturbing. As my seat was looking toward the windows, the light was coming in, but there wasn't enough light in our area to see the faces of our friends across the table.
We had the most amazing attentive waiter. He was always around to fill our drinks, refill our bread basket. Answer our questions.
The food and ambience are always consistently good. What made this dining experience outstanding was how accommodating our waitress was. She was very patient with us as we decided on what to order, how to pay, using coupons, dining points, etc. She took very good care of us.
Cathy was our waitress and she was absolutely awful. I was showing her a $10 coupon code on my phone and before I had completely pulled it up, she sharply, nastily, rudely, loudly, aggressively, boisterously, condescendingly retorted, "YOU HAVE TO PUT THE PHONE DOWN! "We're not liable if it falls and something happens." In addition, she was obnoxious and acted as if we were a huge bother to her. When the bill came, my tip was my note stating. "You need a better attitude. It isn't what you say, it's "how" you say it." I also left a penny for the value of her poor service. My friend actually wanted to dine at Uncle Julios and I convinced her to go to Maggianos which I now regret. If I ever return to this location, I do not want her to wait on me again. On top of that, I ordered the Shrimp Cacio e Pepe and it was not good.
The waiter was very nice, but he couldn’t hear what we had ordered. Therefore he brought something we didn’t order, then he took the food back and took another hour to make the right order again. Then we wanted dessert, so we ordered cheesecake because everything else they had was crap for dessert. 1 slice costs like $8 and it didn’t even taste that good. Overall the pasta is good, their service and their dessert isn’t so great.
Dependable. Always good food and service. Just disappointed that when I made reservation I had stated a special birthday and they were oblivious and had to mention to waitstaff. I had come to expect leye restaurants to remember those type of details.
Great food, as always.
Hostess was unsympathetic that someone had sat at our table before us and the place settings were a mess. There was a half full glass of water when we sat down.
We had to send a glass and a dessert plate back with the server because they were not washed properly.
Very good time. We came out to celebrate a birthday and half of our party was late and the accomodated us. The waitress was great.
The only bad thing was i put a reservation in but still had to wait 25 min for a table.
Had a large party and the staff was attentive to make our event perfect
Delicious food and excellent service
Maggianos is always a good choice for a nice celebration, or casual dining experience. The food and service is always good. I look forward to to my next visit.
