Maggiano's - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
Maggianos is usually 5 stars but during our last visit it was unusually busy and very loud. Our table was small and had us basically sitting in a walk way so we were bumped several times. Our waiter forgot what we ordered and forgot to ask what we wanted to drink. Overall if I hadn't been to Maggianos before, I probably wouldn't come back, but all previous visits were great.
DInner was wonderful, as always. The restaurant was very busy, so waiter was a bit overwhelmed, plus no offer for refills of water, coffee, beer, etc. Other than that, the food
was brought out promptly, it was hot, and it was yummy. We will be back, but perhaps try for
a less busy time. However, reservations were for 5:00 on a Sunday, so didn't expect the large crowd.
had reservations had to wait told the host and the waiter it was our anniversary was told prior they would do something special we had our food picked before we saw our waiter from time seated to being handed the ck was about 35 mins they pushed us right on out thought I was taking my wife out for a romantic evening first time in 4 years and he'll I might have well taking her to a bar wouldn't have been a different experience
The food and was excellent as well as the quantity for the price. Our server (Hanna) was wonderful as well. For the volume of people there, we had a table in a reasonable amount of time and enjoyed the entire experience as if it was the first time! We shall return!
We went to Maggiano's for our 3rd wedding anniversary dinner. We like to visit unique restaurants, so this seemed to fit. EVERYTHING was great. We got the dinner for two, and it was worth every penny! Great service, great food, highly recommend to anyone who loves Italian food.
From our host to buss boy every one was friendly and answered our questions and had recommendations as well. Our waitress was very nice as well as the other staff. They took their time with everyone even tho they were SLAMMED (Saturday after Valentine’s Day, it was pay day weekend and a Saturday.) can’t wait to go back again
We were very disappointed with Maggiano's this time. We were seated at a table that when you pulled your chair out to sit down you had to be careful not to hit the people at the next table. When the young man was trying to clear plates from the tables he was having to turn side ways and wiggle between people bumping their take home bags making them swing back and forth. We were brought a basket of bread and our water glasses were filled. We placed our orders asking for side salads for our appetizers and sweat tea for our drink. After a pretty good wait our entrees arrived but our salads nor our tea had been served. We told the young man who delivered our entrees and he took our meals back. Several minutes later we were brought salads and our tea. When we finished our salads we waited for our meals to come but the room was so packed and tables shoved together that conversation was pointless to try. So we just waited wondering if we had been forgotten. Our food was brought back out obviously put somewhere to stay warm but surprisingly it was delicious. Our dessert was equally delicious. The food was delicious but the atmosphere and table placement needs a lot of work. We will not return for a date get away.
My review has nothing against our server or the quality of the food. Both were excellent. My issue is with the cleanliness and hygiene of the establishment. I was served an iced tea filled to the brim and only discovered I had been given a dirty glass with someone's lipstick on it until after I had drank enough for the lipstick to be visible on bare glass. Our server promptly brought another glass and that glass had lipstick on it as well, discovered in the same fashion. When asked who was not doing their job back in the kitchen with cleaning the glasses, his response was it will take a stronger team effort and he will talk with someone about it. Our teas were removed from the check as compensation.
The room was too dark to read the menu. Our waiter put in the wrong order and didn’t bring my Bellini until reminded. The meal was replaced and I wasn’t charged for the dish. The asparagus was excellent and the Veal Piccata was heavenly. My friends both enjoyed their meals also. We were sad we couldn’t get the family meal with 3 guests. The Maggiano’s in Dallas allows even 2 the family style. 😢
Visited on Valentine's Day with a reservation. Seated upon arrival, hostess was friendly . Server was excellent and no waiting for food. Food as always was excellent. We had extra servings to take home. The dessert, a chocolate cake, was wonderful. Maggiano's is an excellent restaurant for special occasions and family gatherings.
We went on Valentines Day at lunch; wasn't extremely busy, but the service wasn't phenomenal. You know, you expect more out of a place you are dropping $65 for 2 people for lunch; attentiveness, filling your water without asking, making sure the plate has oil and spices prepared, like the basics of being a good waiter. Managing time well so that your patron doesn't unnecessarily wait longer than they need to because you the server didn't plan well. Asking for bread 4 times from someone. Anyway, in general, Maggianos always is good but service that day was mediocre sadly.
our lunch Order was correct and the food was excellent but a little on the slow side coming out. Server got our order correct but was slow and forgetful when we asked to order & for drinks and to-go boxes (maybe he’s just new or having an off day or maybe they were just short staffed today at any rate wish him well). Love Maggiano’s
Food was pretty good. The bruschetta bar appetizer was great. The atmosphere/ interior was classy. Service was okay. They were polite but the only improvement would be for the waiters/ waitresses to have proper dining/serving ettiquette to match the low light atmosphere. Overall I would go back.
