Maggiano's - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
Love coming here for special occasions. So after attending Handel’s Messiah at the Nashville Symphony we were looking forward to an enjoyable, delicious meal. We had reservations through Open Table and waited about 10 minutes past our reservation time to get a booth seating. It was a Sunday early evening and the place was super busy. We ordered the lobster carbonara to split (our usual entree) and wife had a toss salad and I had the spinach salad. Both salads were good. However, the lobster carbonara tasted different, not sure if some ingredient was missing preparing the meal, lobster didn’t taste fresh either. Ate a fourth of it. Spoke with the manager and he removed the meal from the bill. Keeping in mind it was very busy/crowded, our server was not as attentive as should have been to refilling our drinks. Our daughter enjoyed her meal and had plenty leftover to take home. The fresh warm bread is always good. We will visit again. Make reservations if you plan to go.
This was our Christmas dinner for my family. We have visited here before and the kids love it!
That being said, there was problems this visit. The restaurant pulled a square table and a round table together. We did not have enough room, partially sitting in the aisle, crammed between other tables, the waiter could not access the back side of the table. When the food was brought out, family style, there was no room to place the platters. We were having to move plates, drinks, other food platters as there was not enough room. Our family has some plus size members who were visibly cramped. When the table next to us vacated, we asked to adjoin it but management refused. As one person moved to the end of the square table, he was asked to move back as "there is no room for our other guests".
A dinner that costs $480 should be comfortable and relaxing. The noise was so loud, we could not talk.
I think this restaurant prefers smaller groups.
Food was good, server was excellent, ambience was good. The part I didn’t like was that I reserved for 8:15 and was not seated until almost 9:00, we were getting passed over because there were people with more guest. I kept asking the host and she kept telling me that I was next on the list but somehow other people were getting seated before my family and I. I even had to confront her in order to get my table.
The restrooms were filthy, as well as the lobby floor.
Our tea classes were not filled; we ask for additional bread and never got it; we did not feel the level of service was even close to what we are accustomed to. One of the appetizer's was cold and it felt like the server was insulted when we asked to replace it. For a special event, we had to work hard for getting what we needed to make our meal complete.
Maggianos is always fantastic.. We had our office Christmas lunch here and it was very
Special in every way. The servers always make everyone feel very special. The food is always amazing and to be able to have a take home pasta is a treat. The atmosphere is wonderful and festive. The food, the atmosphere and the service all make thus an amazing experience.
Not only was the greet staff welcoming and the food was delicious - but our waiter Zach, was absolutely AMAZING! He was attentive and accurate without being annoying. He provided excellent service throughout our entire visit, glasses were kept full, recommendations for entrees and desserts were perfection! Maggiano's should definitely keep Zach - he added the extra Christmas spirit to our annual holiday business lunch. THANK YOU!
P.S. I enjoyed my leftover lasagna for dinner - the directions on the packaging were spot-on! Thanks!
Food and service was great as usual - BUT there was a table of 8 near us and a woman in that group was so loud that there were times we couldn’t hear ourselves talking in our booth! I am sure it’s tough for managers, but honestly I will think twice before coming again. It really ruined our meal. Manager gave us a small discount on our food but I would have preferred someone having the courage to ask the table to quiet down out of courtesy to the other patrons. I am quite sure we weren’t the only people complaining. Probably will not go back anytime soon.
While you always get a great meal at Maggiano's, it was particularly loud during a holiday lunch. There were 11 of us, and we were packed in so closely that we could barely move and it was very uncomfortable for everyone. The noise levels were through the roof, making it difficult to hear each other. The service was incredibly slow, too. Overall, I'll look for somewhere else for our lunch next time!
My reservation called for 15 people, of whom only 7 showed up. However, the restaurant hostesses were very accommodating to my on-the-fly adjustment. The fact that they had two servers scheduled for the original size of the party was duly noted. Everyone enjoyed their meals and was really impressed with the portion sizes. The only small concern was that our particular waiter seemed somewhat preoccupied. And it was not a big deal, other than our need to get back to work. Overall, we enjoyed the experience to meet with old friends and new ones too. Great times !
Excellent service all the way around. The waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable.... The chef came out and took my special order in that I have life threatening allergy to beef, lard, and gelatin. He special cooked my food separately so that nothing could be cross contaminated from the grill. The food was delicious, the place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. In most cites that I visit on business I always go to Maggiano's . Been to many of them and I must say that they are all just as good as this one. They must have an excellent training program.
Food was great! however our waitress was hardly at our table, she got our meal for 2 wrong and gave us the wrong to go food as well. Our gigis butter cake was also overcooked.. My previous experiences have been exceptional however the other night was really a let down.
This was my first time here. My date had been here before and when I asked her where she would like to go she recommended Maggiano's. She said it was one of her favorite places and that she had not been there in a long time. Service was excellent (just the right amount of attention) All of the drinks and food were perfect! I will definitely be back. This is my new favorite place!
As usual, most of our meal was delicious. We love the zucchini appetizer and also tried the seasonal shrimp appetizer special this visit (loved). I am a Rigatoni D lover, but I was wanting to try the Chicken Piccata. The server suggested it over the Rigatoni D. Poor choice. It was not good at all. It was a tough piece of chicken sitting in a pool of oil with a dry spaghetti side. I was highly disappointed that I paid close to $20 for a meal that I didn't eat and didn't get full on. I ate a little bit because I didn't want to have to pay for it and then another meal, but most of it was left. I have had much better chicken dishes at cheaper prices at other Italian restaurants, and I do not think it met Maggiano's normally high standards.
