Maggiano's - Naperville Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I had a reservation set at 9:30pm for Valentine’s Day. It was definitely packed when we arrived and we did arrive about 35mins prior to our reservation. However, even though they were very busy and they mentioned they were behind on reservations, we were still seated 15mins before our actual reservation time!! It was wonderful and they accommodated our “special request” which was a booth. The waitress was lovely and they’re food was so authentic! Dessert was seriously amazing and you could tell if was freshly made. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious. Definitely recommend to anyone!
Waitress was not very welcoming. My husband and I went there on Valentines’ day to celebrate our one year anniversary with our three year old son. She brought two glasses of water to the table as if he was invisible. I had to ask her to please bring water for him. She also packed up my leftovers and came back and sat the bag on the floor whereas she had put everyone else’s on their table. There was more than enough space available. Such a ruined experience.
We had a wonderful time tonight!! Not only was it Valentine’s Day, but our anniversary as well! The hostess sprinkled little star shaped confetti on the table and we received a wonderful card congratulating us!! The service was a small bit slow, but that was only due to the crowd. Our waitress was wonderful (Thank you so much Nicole!!) and the food was amazing. Overall, a great experience.
Usually I have a great experience at this location, but this time we had a waiter who kept forgetting to check in with us, would forget to get our food, took forever to get our order, wold forget what we ordered, we ended up waiting 30 minutes for dessert. We also ordered a classic dish that would come with a to go meal with it and he forgot to hand us the meal after we asked him twice. We gave up waiting and we had to leave empty handed. The dinner that would of taken us 45min to an hour, took us two and a half hours because of the waiting from the waiter.
Great Italian selections and excellent service.
We come here several times each year and Was disappointed only once, and that was a month ago. Just do not order the crab cakes. They are great, but you get three tiny appetizer size cakes for $30.00. Absoluteky and Definitely not worth the price. I would have sent them back but it would have embarrassed my daughter for me to do so.
Reservation was fairly on-time compared to other restaurants. Once seated our waitress was very informative and constantly checking on us even with the restaurant being full. Menu had a good amount of food but not overwhelmingly full. The food came out quickly and was very good. Great experience!
We love Maggiano's. As a matter of fact, they were the first Lettuce Entertain You place we visited together. They have consistently good food, service and atmosphere. I especially like how they adjusted their menu to add lower calorie versions of some of their dishes. Even choosing those, I left feeling I had a full dinner. We've been to at least 4 or 5 Maggiano's and they are consistently good.
My family typically loves Maggiano’s. It is my Wife’s favorite resultant so we were going for her birthday. Unfortunately this was probably the worst service I have ever received. Our waiter was completely slow and did not seem to know what was going on with our table. He spent more time complaining about his life at home than he did paying attention to our table. Our drinks took way to long to come out. In fact the apps came out before my wife and my drinks. One meal was spilled in my lap and the waiter had no idea what was going on. He actually told me he didn’t know where my wife’s food was. I had to tell him that the food runner spilled it on me. I was told that a manager would come by and talk to me about everything but no manager ever showed. My wife actually never got to eat because the replacement meat took so long that we just had to go. felt like they did not care at all about the service we received. We will definitely think twice about going back now. To add insult to injury the waiter came out with not enough change for my bill and said “I hope it’s okay”. Would it be okay if I did not pay the full amount for my meal and told the waiter the same thing??
Went for Valentines day. Food was excellent as always. It can get crowded on holidays like this, but it didn't affect the experience too much. They were a few minutes late past our reservation before seating us, but it wasn't too bad. Server was pleasant and professional.
French onion soup with chianti was quite unpleasant. Looked like the basic soup was fine, but adding the chianti was a bad idea. Special entree was langustino and Italian sausage risotto. The sauce was an extremely spicy arrabiata that totally overwhelmed the langustino. The sausage was hot Italian so spicy hot that, for example, no flavor of fennel was detectable. This added to the drowning out of the seafood.
Salad, wine, bread, and apple crostada were great, as usual.
Sadly, Maggiano's has changed. Food was meh. The quality was sub par. Though our waitress was excellent there was a feeling in the atmophere that the staff was was not happy per se, couldn't quite place it. Again, our waitress was excellent so it was a feeling as we walked in, were seated, and upon leaving. The take home "gift" of two pasta meals was just plain yuck. I threw the one pasta out. We will not be back.
