Maggiano's - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I come here frequently and love maggianos.... hence the reason we keep coming back. This time was an exception. Our server was terrible! Was always talking and walking (rarely addressing the table) or leaning against the wall, my dish came out wrong twice and finally I just ate it. My husband didn’t get his drink till half way through dinner- a coke! Our cheese shaker was empty and we had to re request bread multiple times. A lot of little things made a not so romantic night. Maggianos is typically awesome, but this experience was not what we have come to expect ; (
While the food was good, for the price I would have gone somewhere else. My husbands ribeye not very good and we got dessert to go and we were given the wrong items. Didn’t notice until we got home and it was something neither of us liked, so paid for something we wouldn’t eat. Didn’t cross my mind to check the bag before leaving. Oh well, probably won’t be going back anytime soon.
We arrived 20 min prior to our 7:45pm reservation and given a pager. We later came to the front waiting area when we were 30 min past our reservation time. Once there, we watched three groups check in for an 8:15 reservation. They were then seated within the next 10 minutes. My husband became agitated and asked the host why we hadn't been seated when our reservation was made for 30 min before theirs and we had been waiting much longer? The host was confused and had to find our reservation again and told us there must have been a glitch.
After another short wait, we were seated in a booth under the stairs. We could hear the thumping each time someone went up or down the steps. The table next to us was delivering a medical presentation to his table VERY loudly not to mention unprofessionally at times, cursing everything in the book - we couldn't even conversate because we couldn't hear each other our entire dinner. Once our salads arrived, my husband had to wait another ten minutes to eat it, for the waiter had picked up his silverware when he cleared the extra place setting.
When the entrees came, my pasta had a meat sauce rather than the marinara I had ordered, but I just ate it because we had such a long wait as it was, and we were eager to remove ourselves from the presentation next to us. We definitely didn't want to listen to that after getting done a long work week!
We were trying to have a nice evening out, but it was an aggravating experience with the front of house service, the seating under the stairs, and the god awful presentation next to us disrupting our entire meal.
The food was delicious, but the service left a lot to be desired.
It was our 13 year anniversary and I wanted to try somewhere new. I was told to come here and make sure we try a certain dish. We had our two kids with us as well, so we needed somewhere that would be kid friendly. It was a very nice choice. My youngest was thrilled with his giant meatball in his spaghetti. The manager brought us an appetizer to try for coming. They brought us lemon cookies on a plate with a strawberry holding a candle and in chocolate written "congratulations" as the violinist played us a song. The food we were told to try was amazing, and the waitress was one of the best I ever had.
I would tell anyone to dine here.
We got off to a poor start as it took almost ten minutes for a server to make an initial approach on this very busy night. We did, however, promptly receive water and bread from another employee. The care and graciousness of server Sam made my irritation with the wait quickly dissipate. She was superb: kind, welcoming, attentive, and delightful. Our food was outstanding: the fresh warm bread, chicken with rigatoni, chicken saltimbocca and spaghetti aglio olio. I wish I had Maggiano's near my home in southwestern Pennsylvania. It is always a treat to dine there when I am in an area in which the restaurant operates. We are returning this week and have asked that Sam serve us!
Went there to celebrate my husband's birthday before we went to a movie. We made a reservation and were seated right away. They gave us a nice private booth so we could talk and enjoy our meal. Everything was timely and our server, Kody, was very engaging and thoughtful. He told us about their brunch and we might give it a try next month. This is our 1st time back in many years - it just fell off our radar. Now it's back!
Better service than some other recent visits. Table was ready at time our reservation was for (not true the time before this one). We were in the back room, which seemed quieter. Next time we'll ask to be upstairs--never tried that. It wasn't a long wait but the waiter still apologized. He was friendly and seemed to enjoy it that it was our anniversary and we were using the Valentine's Day special menu (not evident anywhere, but we had a copy along so he didn't even have to fish for his copy). We actually ate something different, including the bruschetta tour (really like a flight of bruschetta) since we had the deal. (We usually get the buy-1-get-1 pasta and enjoy it, but it was fun to sample other things.) We also used our Discover points to get a gift card, so the whole meal was free! Looking forward to coming back in March to open our surprise discount card.
We always love Maggiano's. Reservations recommended though because it is generally crowded. It tends to be a little loud but you can always count on a good meal, with a nice selection, and range of prices. Service is consistently pleasant and accommodating. The bread is recently improved. Warm and doughy!
Had a small family get together The wine list was very good and good quality wine. Appetizers
were very nice and generous try the calamari. Entrees were more than enough even for a big eater. Fi iced the meal with an espresso and tiramisu which was super.
Jay our waiter was great!!!
While we’ve been to this Maggianos before, I wasn’t thrilled with this visit. We came to celebrate our first valentine’s day as an engaged couple. I requested a quieter romantic spot, away from noisy children (they were at the next table), when I made our reservation a week in advance. I knew about the special valentine’s menu, but we were not told about it. Our waiter didn’t know about it either. Our meals were mediocre at best (and they usually knock it out of the park!) There was a LOT of foot traffic near our table and my fiancé almost had food & drinks spilled on him. We didn’t even get the box of chocolate zuccoti to take home. We spent over $100 and we’re just plain disappointed.
Whole experience was awesome, short wait time, friendly staff, amazing food...I had veal piccata, they make it to perfection here! And the lemon cookies for dessert? Oh my ,light and delicious... i will have to go back soon, as this is my favorite, everything done right place to eat, p.s. Tara was our outstanding server, thank you for your care☺
