Our server Julia was delightful, the food was delicious. Wine was a little over priced. Definitely recommend for date night or family dinner!
We had a wonderful dinner in the bar. Service and food were excellent.
Very caring staff. The chef came to our table to clarify details about my father’s food allergy. We were very impressed that it was so important to him to prepare a dinner that was tasty that my father could eat. He was so kind and conscientious. We always enjoy our food and our dinner at Maggiano’s.
From the hostess to our outstanding waitress, Debbie, our Sunday lunch with our father was enjoyable. Debbie was very helpful providing recommendations which were outstanding. The parking and restaurant was easy to navigate with a wheelchair. Piped music of classic tunes added to the entertainment at the table as we played name that tune with our father. The experience was as enjoyable for my husband and I as it was for his father. An added treat was the extra pasta to go for the next day. Thank you so much. See you again soon.
Used to go here often, its definitely gone downhill both in terms of food and service. Had to return the pasta/seafood dish since it was like (Pasta de Mer) soup. Horrible. Then asked for spagetti with sausage to replace it and it came with sausage all cut up so like eating for someone with no teeth. Lousy. Had to get up twice to ask status of our drink order. Had to get up again and ask where our bottle of wine was since we were now half way through dinner. Will not go back...better places.
Went in late Saturday afternoon before they were busy . Food was great and service was as well.
This is the second time in a row that the service was terrible. I think we sat there both times for 20-25 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. We had to ask for cheese for the bread like 3 times since it wasn’t on the table, there were only 3 napkins for a table of 4, so I had to wait forever to get a napkin. On the 3rd of July we sat in the bar and the service was also terrible. We have always been a huge fan of Maggianos but I am not sure that we will be back very soon. Our Dinner took over 2 hrs tonight and I think that’s just way too long for a place like this.
This was our first time to Maggiano's and we were impressed by the friendly staff, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the multiple food options. Everything we tried was delicious! Russell and Trina were great servers. We will definitely be back again.
The very beginning was rough. No one came to wait on us. There were several people standing around and never looked our way. After 8-10 minutes I finally walked up to the podium and asked for help. Still took a couple of minutes. When our waiter cane he was polite and informative. Don’t know why you ask for the special occasion as that didn’t seem too important to anyone. However we did take home some lemon cookies.
Our server gave excellent guidance in menu items along with mentioning short term items.
A very lovely evening. Fine food, fine service. Must do it again soon.
As a longtime Maggiano’s customer I was disappointed with my entree, chicken Marsala. I ordered the lite dish (which I have ordered previously.). It was ordinary at best in taste and presentation-the mushrooms seemed as tho they were dropped out of a can into the pan.
The food came out quickly, but the steps of service in between were very slow. We waited a while for bread, the check, the to go boxes, and then the check to be returned so that we could leave. The server was VERY kind, but she also had a four table section which included a party of 12 that may have been the reason. It was peak time during a Saturday night, so it was understandable. The kid’s menu portions are GREAT!
Excellent food for the price.
This was my birthday dinner with my husband. We love Maggiano’s. The food is terrific and the the service is always great! Thank you for a great birthday dinner! We get the same dishes every visit: chicken parmigiana and mushroom ravioli!
Waiter dumped our drinks on us and then proudly proclaimed later that our first round was on them. Actually, they were literally on us. We had to speak with manager, who graciously comped the drinks. But it was the ignoring of us after the incident that warrants the poor service grade. It was nearly an hour after arrival that we finally got bread and our (undumped) drinks. I’ve given good grades here before, but this was bad.
Needed a gluten free pasta fix and Maggiano’s hit the spot! Great service outside in their patio section. Spaghetti with shrimp in super rich sauce. It had been some time since I dined at Maggiano’s but I’ll be back said Arnold.
It was my birthday and we had hoped for a nice evening. Our server was new and unprepared for service.
Drinks ordered were not brought, my salad was not brought until the entrees came... it was sent back. The pace of the courses was all off. We were not finished with our appetizers when the salads came out. Entrees came out before our salads were finished. My beef pasta dish came with one piece of beef. One of my guests entree came out 15 minutes after everyone else was served. We alerted the manager to the situation and he said he would try to make it right. Unfortunately the meal was ruined so Free stuff and comped meals would not change the situation. We informed our served that we did not want free deserts or anything else free. That was not why we complained. The manager felt compelled to send over a huge desert platter and champagne for all. At that point however we were over it. We poked at the deserts and sipped a bit of Champagne but were were ready to go. The checks came and the manager indeed comped a meal from all three of our checks. Nice gesture but our evening was still a bust... Sorry Maggian's we wont be back....
Made a reservation and they still seated us 15 minutes after it and it was not busy. Also manager (tall african american guy) was NOT helpful with a issue we had.
Magiannos is delicious food and a good value. We had a very attentive, without being intrusive, waitress, thank you Abby. When questions came up she got answers if she didn’t already know. The brunch menu was new to me and very interesting.
We make reservations for Brunch at first opening. I tripped and almost fell at our table because the tray the staff uses to buss the table was on the floor partially hidden by our table. I stepped on it's edge, flipping it up and splashing whatever was in it on my leg. I had to grab the tables for balance. The host said he would take it but did not apologize. Latter I mentioned it to our waiter with the same indifferent response. When I saw one of the management staff walking by; I again explained the situation. He said they would discuss it in a team strategy meeting. From then on I feel the staff attempted to avoid our table. My friends pancakes came burnt. The rest was fine but I did not mention the pancakes because I did not want to look like I was just trying to find things to complain about. I expected at least outstanding service to make up for our troubles but is was just "OK". I felt our waiter acted like I was just looking for a free meal. I already had a coupon since I was a repeat customer that I would not have used if the staff showed some type of corrective apology. Our waited make sure he mentioned that our coupon was deducted.
No one apologized. No one offered any consideration. No one said Thank you or anything as we left. The whole event left a sour taste in my mouth. My friend said I should contact corporate but I wanted to express myself this way first. I had much better meals at Maggiano's before.
Thanks very much for a very enjoyable evening, food was awesome but the restaurant was very loud. We had a great time
Maggiano's is one of our go-to restaurants and this dining experience did not disappoint. Although I have selected the Linguine de Mar in the past, I had forgotten just how loaded this dish is with a variety of shellfish. Yes, the clams and mussels are still in their shells, but the shells help to enhance the flavor of the dish, so it'd worth the extra effort. The only booth available was in the bar area which provided two benefits, i.e., it was much quieter than the completely full dining room with guests kicking off a holiday week. Secondly, Heidi is the best Maggiano's server we have had in our 2.5 years in the Indianapolis-area. If you are looking to eat pasta, take my wife's word for it - the Rigatoni "D" is not to be missed.
The table we were at was too cramped for the 5 people
Met my daughter there to celebrate her birthday. Food was delicious. The miniature desserts were just perfect. Staff was very friendly.
The food I ordered was very good. I seem to like baked baked pasta dishes, like the baked ziti. The Italian sausage flatbread is also very good.
Amazing food and service. Can’t wait to go back.
The reservation from open table didn’t save. The restaurant didn’t have record of our reservation, even with my confirmation email. Waited 40 mins to be seated. Waited another 10 mins to receive a glass of wine I ordered. Bread didn’t come out until dinner. Food was great. Waited 25 minutes after we finished eating for service from our waitress. We asked for our check ASAP and our dessert to go. Whole experience took 2 hours and 15 mins. We won’t be returning.
ambiance of restaurant was very nice
I ordered the Shrimp Scampi which is my favorite-----this time the Angel Hair pasta was over cook some and stuck together. the last time I ordered this it was perfect but this time I was disappointed.
will I go back---------Stay tuned?
Always a treat when we go there. Great place to take out of town guests!
Our entire party has eaten at Maggiano’s often and for some it’s the place to go for seats are good Italian food. However this last visit was very disappointing. 1). Host was not at the host station 2) we were seated in a booth which we never have liked because it’s a bit tight for 6 people plus the booth seats are beaten down so it feels as if we are sitting in a bowl, 3) we ate a variety of offers from the menu but everything from pasta to veal was over cooked/overheated except for the beef filet which was ordered medium but was received very under done. Our waitress was nice but None of us want to be pushed along to quickly finish our meals. Unfortunately this happens on a consistent basis.
Thanks for the great service! The food was good ! The waiter was very patient and nice
We went with two of our grandkids, 12 and 10. The youngest ordered from the kids menu flatbread and loved it with her lemonade, while our 5’5” 12 year old had the Italian sausage flatbread on the regular menu and loved that with the peach iced tea. We shared a very good Caesar salad and my husband enjoyed his lasagna. I had the mushroom ravioli which has always been my favorite, but I forgot they drown it in a creamy cheese sauce...next time just a simple sage butter would highlight the mushrooms. I’ll ask next time. The wine list is fine for anyone’s taste. We forgot with the pasta dishes you get anther to take home, so the kids enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs the next day. I have to add that as Chicagoans who have eaten at the original when it first opened years ago, the noise level is much lower in Carmel...very pleasant ambiance for conversation with the grands.
Wasn’t going to say anything but realized I should provide feedback in hopes of improvement. Service was really poor. Probably was most disappointed as it was my wife’s bday and I had high hopes.
Always delicious and fun. Excellent Service and nice ambiance.
We had a family dinner and poor, slow service. We had to ask for bread. Then ask for butter. We had to ask for refills multiple times. Our waitress was rarely seen. My nieces pasta was to have the sauce on the side. She got her pasta but no sauce. Our waitress did not come for about 10 minutes to even check if we got everything. She walked by and we had to flag her down. Then it took way to long to get the sauce. That’s not good for a hungry 7 year old. They were not very busy. The service is poor every time we come here. Probably won’t go back.
The service was the slow. The worst service I’ve had at any restaurant. I put in a drink order and waited 10+ minutes and decided to go get them at the bar. I was back in my seat with the drinks 5 minutes before the server brought them. On top of all this it was my fiancé’s birthday so it ruined that. Been to Maggianos several times and never had this issue before. Won’t be going back.
We had reservations for 7:00pm. We were not seated until 7:35pm. When I asked the host about it I received a curt answer.
Normally I would give high reviews but Saturday they were very unorganized. I made a reservation but they said I did not have one? After I asked to see a manager they realized two of our guest was already sitting. Then once at the table only one waitress who struggled to take our order and wanted to complain about what we were ordering. We waited for plates, servings and even water. I felt sorry for our waitress but didn't really understand the basics of service verses task. I had to ask for the manager to allow an upgrade that I was willing to pay for. The waitress argued over an upgrade and said it wasn't doable. In the end we left a little discouraged after wanting to enjoy a great meal.
Always love my experience here, food is always great and amazing service!
