Maggiano's - Indianapolis Ratings and Reviews
I’ve had dinner at several Maggiano’s and have found them as close to what I grew up on, as a restaurant can come. We went there to celebrate my retirement and had a great meal and a wonderful time.
I have not been disappointed at any of the meals I’ve had there.
Really enjoy Maggiano's for large groups as the food is family style. The square booths make for a quiet, intimate setting with just your date or a small group. The servers are friendly and fun to talk with while also providing excellent professional service. The Marco's Meal is an excellent value with two pasta entrees, two salads and a large dessert in the restaurant, PLUS two take-home pasta dishes all for about $45. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
We made a reservation, but still had to wait 45 minutes for our table. The staff was not polite or respectful and did not let us know why there was a delay and when we would be seated. When we elevated to the manager, he quickly solved the problem and was very nice. Our server and food were good. Overall, it was crowded, loud, and disappointing as the food/ambience did not outweigh the poor service at check in.
The Marco's special is a good value. The entrees varied in quality and tastiness. The 4 cheese ravioli was exceptional, but the spaghetti with meat sauce paled in comparison to Olive Garden. The pappardelle with beef come out only slightly warm and was average. The steaks from grill were great!! The apps were good. Salads okay. Desserts good. A disappointing experience compared to the last time I went in Chicago many years ago. I used to rave about you, but now I'll think twice. Finally, it was 2 degrees outside and way too hot inside. Uncomfortable dining experience. Appreciated the $10 coupon for joining the email club.
Invited My out-of-town brother, his wife, and locally living son to dinner to join my wife and I. They were all very happy with their meals. My wife had her favorite chicken piccata (she compares it favorably to hers), with a side of sauteed spinach, my brother a chicken and shrimp dish, his wife, the chicken manicotti, and my nephew, the salmon oscar. I chose one of the classic pasta dishes (ravioli al forno, I think it was). The portions were quite ample, especially the salmon oscar and chicken and shrimp pasta dish, while my ravioli was simple and light, which is what I was hoping for, not being ravenous. I selected the taylor Street ziti to take home (my selection, and other classic pastas, provide a have one, take one home option). We all found our choices delicious, ample, service was great as usual. The whole meal, which I covered, came to a little over $30 each, with tip (would have been quite a bit more if my wife hadn't been the only one having wine) but could have been less as well, since most chose a higher price entre. Altogether delicious and well worth the price.
The hosts were so concerned on finding tables that they didn’t even take a chance to greet the new people coming in or at least acknowledge we were there. We had a reservation and checked in. We waited 30 min and still hadn’t been seated and it turns out they knocked us off the list even though we had a reservation. The food was good but the service was very poor.
New Years Eve night. Service was slow, 20 minutes for bar drinks. Food took 30 minutes. Food was good but they were out of several items at 830pm? Checks were not correct on delivery but were corrected. Overall 2 hours from seated to check payment.
Usually is much better than this, they didn’t appear to be ready for New Years Eve!
It was my husband and mine first visit and now we now a little more about the restaurant and what to order. My lasagna was great and I got to pick a dish to take home, the 4 cheese manicotti was very good as well. My husband did not care for his spaghetti which had no sauce.
This is by far the best restaurant. Great location by the fashion Mall. I love everything from the valet, the staff, friendly atmosphere and the food was great. I asked my server for a recommendation and she came through because my meal was great...i cannot say anything else but, I will return to this place.
We've gone here for New Years eve lunch for several years in a row now but were disappointed by this last visit. Restaurant wasn't crowded so I asked for a booth. Instead we were seated at a table that was uneven and two of us had our chairs in the very busy aisle. There were several empty booths and I asked if we could move to one of them but the hostess seemed put out so we stayed at our table. Our server rarely came by our table and wasn't very friendly. They served me someone else's meal and it was at least 10 minutes before anyone came back to the table to say they gave me the wrong meal. When they brought the correct one it was way overcooked and the pasta was chewy. Instead of comping my meal they gave us a free dessert. For the price, the service was not up to par and the food was just ok.
Service was excellent. The food was subpar for the first time ever. Appetizer came out cold and hard, and I go especially for the chopped salad, they were out of the chopped lettuce and there was no prosciutto on the iceberg version of the chopped. Disappointed in the food.
We had a great meal with PLENTY of left overs! We ordered appetizers and then it took what felt like a long time for the waiter to finally come take our order. It wasn’t until the appetizers came out that he finally came to take it and remove the large menus. We told him we were ready and he said ok one second and didn’t come back. He did bring refills in a decently timely manner, but seemed very busy with many tables. The food was wonderful and everyone in our party of 7 loved it. Great value for soooo much food! The restaurant itself was loud, many larger parties that seemed to add to it. For the amount of yummy food, and another meal for tomorrow we would certainly go back. We went for a birthday and they allowed us to bring in a cake and held it for us in the kitchen. The waiter accidentally broke a candle opening the cake but they had other candles and brought it out lit for us! They were nice enough to bring extra plates and silverware too.
We are regulars at Maggiano's... at least two visits per month. Many tasty options to choose from on the menu. We have celebrated several birthdays, Father's Day and Christmas Eve there. No matter how busy they are, the staff and servers are excellent!! Our most recent server, Christian was wonderful! We will request him next time we visit.
Food would have been a 5 but gnocchi and sausage only had 3 piecies of sausage and it was family style. The aerver did bring more out. Maybe 5 small oieces in the next family serving. Overall it was all good. We are glad we made this our choice for Christmas Eve.
