Maggiano's - Houston Ratings and Reviews
I have been to all 3 Maggianos locations in Houston and baybrook. This one was Average. The server was always occupied with other tasks and where always waiting for drinks and refills. Was a little disappointed but overall good. Supervisor had to help the server twice.
Love the service! Unfortunately our salmon came out raw in the middle. While I appreciate the service, you can’t give back the time we waited around for a new cooked salmon. We dined in for a pre-Valentines date. I stopped eating my food until my husband’s plate was ready.
As always, Maggiano's delivered all the important parts for a fun family birthday dinner. Great service, great food, great setting! On this particular visit it was a bit loud. We weren't able to hear all the great music that we usually look forward to hearing. But it was the Saturday night before Valentine's Day. It's always pretty busy when we've been there, but the reservations enabled us to be quickly seated. I think perhaps my being seated on the side of the table that was on the aisle may have been the reason it seemed louder to me this time. It did not keep from having a great time. Lots of great memories at Maggiano's on Post Oak!
Ate here for early dinner for my son's birthday. It had been a while since we had visited and I was happily surprised. The menu was updated, everyone was able to get what they wanted although the family style menu was tempting. They still had my favorite dessert, the Apple Crostada, and we also tried the lemon cookies and chocolate cake. All were delicious. Definitely would recommend.
Food was outstanding. Had the lobster risotto special; favors and textures were wonderful. Service was mediocre, though. Ordered wine that was never delivered, but put on the bill (removed only when I pointed out that it never came). My wife ordered her salad with the dressing on the side, but it came with no dressing. After our server did not reappear for 10 minutes, we asked a different server who said he would bring it, but it did not come until about 1 minute before our entrees were delivered. We complained about it and received an apology (not very sincere), but were not offered any compensation. In general, our server was inattentive and unresponsive.
This was our first time there, and because of the food we will probably try again, hoping for better service. A repeat of our first experience, and we would never return.
I visited this location for my Birthday to enjoy a meal.
The food was good and Kathaleen gave us very good service.
I would have given her Excellent if she would have removed
the empty plates from our table, I had to ask her to remove the
empty plates that were on our table.
The zucchini appetizer was worth the calories and plenty for three to share!
My salmon Oscar was delicious and everyone enjoyed their choice of entrée. The serving size was so plentiful we all had leftovers for the next day!
Maggiano's Huston was a great choice for our group before attending a local live theatre performance!
Overall our first visit to Maggiano's was good. Minor items detracted from what could have been an outstanding dinner. We're a family of five, yet for some unknown reason we were hemmed into a corner booth set for 3 near the kitchen (bus area) in an almost empty restaurant - overall a disappointment. Our waiter was ok, but had to be prompted for our drink orders. The food saved the day! All our dishes, appetizers and entrees were delicious. Great flavor and great value for the portions. We did enjoy watching the other staff balance at least 5 dishes on one arm. We'll be back and hoping for a better table and waiter to round out a great experience.
we frequent Maggiano's, usually dining there at least once a month. As always the food was great, the service was friendly and efficient, and the value was excellent. I had the chicken Picatta, which I can recommend highly. My wife had the salmon, which was good, and she enjoyed, but she actually prefers the Shrimp Diablo.
