Maggiano's - Farmers Market Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic Friday Evening In The Holiday Season at the Grove Maggianos. Our group thoroughly enjoyed service provided by waitstaff, April. April recommended food, drinks and was so pleasant to us. We commend her for providing such excellent service, during the busy holiday season when the restaurant was full as can be with holiday events. A tip, when dining with a large party, take advantage of the family special as this will be cost effective and provide your group with great delicious food.
The zucchini appetizer was delicious, as always. My eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti was very disappointing. The spaghetti was extremely undercooked (a few minutes prior to reaching al dente), and a bite of the eggplant parmigiana tasted/felt like a mouthful of soggy breadcrumbs ( In their defense, I did not report this to the waiter. Perhaps they would have replaced it for me with another dish.) For the record, I am Italian and know what real Italian food should taste like. Alas, this is where my family wanted to go. They enjoy the "eat a meal, take a 2nd meal home" deal. To end on a positive note, our waiter (Jeremy) was wonderful, and we loved the black cherry chocolate cake! They should make it a constant on the dessert menu!
Came here with family on a Saturday night at about 8:30 p.m... We had booked a reservation for 9 on OpenTable and got there about 20 minutes early but the place was a madhouse... Everyone in front of me waiting to get up to the counter was being told 60 minutes to an hour and a half wait... So I nervously approached them and showed them my reservation through OpenTable and they started apologizing telling me it would take another 20 minutes... I breathed a sigh of relief...
The Maggiano's experience was wonderful as always... Our waitress was proficient, quick, and amicable to all... Our drinks were always filled and our food was delivered promptly and well prepared... Absolutely delicious... Stuffed mushrooms, chicken parmesan, chicken piccata, fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti with marinara... Stuffed mushrooms... Caesar salad... All of it amazing and totally worth the drive... Of course we will be back... Thank you again Maggiano's.
This Maggianos is very loud, crowded and my pasta was rather dry and overcooked. However, the shrimp appetizer was divine and our other pastas were fabulous.
Our waiter was personal when he was present. Unfortunately, our drinks were not refilled and we were unattended to.
The waiter didn't ask what pasta we wanted to bring home, he just had the bus boy deliver the to go bags.
I must note, I usually receive great service at other Maggiano locations and have never experienced overcooked pasta. I think the Grove location may be an anomaly.
Extensive menu with daily specials. Food portions were very large so would recommend family style dining. Overall, food was good and there were enough leftovers to take Home for another night.. Had shrimp scampi which had lots of shrimps and was very flavorful.
Very loud and noisy so would not recommend if you wish to have conversation or are on a date.
The Restaurant outside is modern and inside classy.
The food was excellent, service was perfect, and price is very kind.
We all loved it.
We had Marco’s special for lunch for 4, it comes with 2big bowls of salad, 1appetizers, 4entrees, 2 choices of dessert AND GIFT ANOTHER refrigerated packed entree for 4... unbelievably good place.
After we had enough food, I don’t feel heavy that because they cook fresh with not too much salt.
Highly recommended this place!
Food was horrible we had to send back to dishes because the sauce was way to salty another two dishes were cold. Service was also horrible continually had to track down our waiter. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a MAGGIANO’S. Never going back to the one at the Farmers Market
Maggiano's has lost its ambiance dues to a large wall preventing a view from the patio but remains the best place to eat at the Grove due to its good food and ample seating. However, crowding all those people into one restaurant come at cost, the servers do not have the time to stay on top of their tables. All in all, it is the best of the options at the Grove.
This is one of my fav restaurants in l.a. its upstat but can be casual. its served homestyle at thanksgiving so its very very cool. i also like the food it is great, and the restaurant is beautiful and right next to the grove so you can go to the movies. the service is nice as well.
Got seated at the table next to the kitchen entrance which provided full view of the kitchen and busy staff running in and out non stop while there were several other empty tables available at better areas. Had to wait for another table, never mind we made reservation more than 2 weeks ahead. Maggiano's Farmer's Market ran out of country ham as promised at Thanksgiving dinner, failed to serve cranberry sauce as shown on menu, portions were small, fish (which was the only other option available besides turkey) was bland. Very skimpy on gravy for turkey and stuffing, had to request extra. This is the worst dining experience for the price of $45 pp. Will not return.
Maggiano's is always what you expect -- an elegant experience with great quality dishes and tremendous service. This visit at Farmer's Market (The Grove) was no exception. "Moose" was our server, and despite the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving Day, he was on his game making sure that we were well taken care of at all times. Empty plates leaving the table, refills on our beverages before we had to ask, and making sure numerous times throughout the meal that all was good. Thank you Moose, and thank you Maggiano's for always providing five-star service.
Our annual Thanksgiving lunch was a great success, except that the apple crostada dessert came to us cold. It was still delicious, but is much better hot, as it is normally served. We were told afterward that this was a mistake and it should have been served hot. Otherwise, all good!
We really lucked out getting Kate as our server. She was outstanding. The lasagne was a bit dry but everything else was very good. The food was served in a timely manner and just kept coming. No one was disappointed. I appreciate that there is Valet parking so no one had to walk far. This is one of our favorite places and we will continue to come here wether it’s us us or a large party. We are never disappointed.
the sever(Nicole) wasn't as attentive with us as she was the other customer. i was on a date with my son and I felt mistreated. i also spoke with Kelly the manager and she said next time we visit ask for her. i actually have been to Maggaiono several times on many occasions and the sever was a top 10.
