Made the reservation to give us a little over an hour to eat before a movie, our food for 2 people (chicken parmigiana & chicken marsala) took 45 minutes to come out. I haven’t ever waited for more than 20 minutes for my food to come out at this location and we didn’t even get to eat it there, had to have it boxed up & ate it after the movie. Super disappointed.
Great restaurant!!!! The decor was nice, the food amazing, the service was on point with everything. Will be going again really soon and I recommend you do the same, enjoy!!!
Food was good as always. We tried a different appetizer than our usual and were very impressed. Service was good, not great (server was newer, so that's understood). Overall experience was very good, including the gift meals from the chef.
The service was horrible. The Geeter had an attitude and did not respond when she was asked two times if we could have changed our seat location. And the dinning area smelled. I have moved from Cherry Hill, NJ and had never had such an experience like we did that night. My husband's birthday was did not turn out the way I had planned.
Our server Kelly was fantastic. We enjoyed the dinner for 4 (all you can eat) meal and she was terrific about getting any portions we wanted more of to our table.
This is our "go to" for special occasions since my grown children get to take the left overs and another serving to take home and enjoy the next day.
The restaurant gets a bit loud at times and its hard to hear what the folks across the table are saying.
Really enjoy Maggianos. We need a Maggianos in Garner NC. Restaurants in Garner are awful. Please have your marketing people look into the Garner North Carolina area. Your place would be sold out every night of the week.
Thank you for a great meal and experience on our wedding anniversary.
Love to dine here when in Durham. We had Marcos special for two and a Classic Pasta dinner. Love that we get to dine in and bring a meal home. Love the Mushroom ravioli al forno. The cream sauce is light. We also had the Lasagna and the baked rigatoni. Maggiano’s chopped salad and Italian salad are beautiful portions. We did ask for additional dressing for the salads as it seemed like they forgot to put any on. The zucchini frites appetizer was easily shared. We were disappointed with the Butter Cake dessert. It was very dry and wouldn’t order again.
Our waitress was excellent and the background music was good. They also had 1/2 of bottles of wine which is definitely worth it instead of by the glass. Highly Recommend this restaurant.
Delicious food, and a great 3 course meal for two special, but the waitress was less than attentive.
Food and service great as always. Nice time out with friends.
Not impressive but generosity is real
The setting of this restaurant is very comfortable and interesting. Definitely had the look of little Italy. The cost of food is very reasonable and almost all meals you get, you also get a take home meal. Everything tastes authentic and home made. I definitely recommend the hand made cheesecake, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had.
Food was amazing as always, but this specific occasion the service was awful. The wait to see the waiter was excessive, the wait for him to take our order was as well. The gentleman who served out meal was more prompt than the waiter. Ended up having to speak to the manager to get the check because we waited so long.
What made this occasion worse was that I could see the waiter in the kitchen just standing around talking to other employees. From what I could tell he only had 4 tables, and 1 of the other tables had to ask for assistance as well because of the wait.
The downside is they always put our party of 9 on the isle and by the kitchen door so, traffic is constant. Noise is also high for large group conversation.
Waiter was awesome!
Very personable, respectful and attentive!
We came to Maggiano’s for brunch to celebrate friend’s birthday and it was great, fantastic service even though we were a large group and all paid separately, great food and overall awesome experience!
I celebrated my 22nd birthday with 12 other people so we did the family style dinner. When we arrived our seating was ready for us including our first course of the meal! The waiter was excellent in keeping up with 13 people and his manners never faded away! I definitely will be returning!
This was my first time at Maggino’s. My server Wesley was great. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and specials. My meal was great and the service was excellent. I will be coming back.
Booths are better - get a reservation. Noisy but in a good way
The food was great and the amount we got for the price was impressive. I'll definitely be heading back to Maggiano's at some point.
Veal was too tough. Spumoni awesome!
Great as usual!
Service was phenomenal!!!! Food was okay
Beef papadelle and lasagna were good, the dinner for two was a good value especially with our coupon
The food was good ; however, I ordered the eat one take one home pasta dish and when we fixed the take home pasta it was four cheese ravioli instead of mushroom ravioli . My wife ordered the low cal pasta and received the high cal pasta. The pasta was replaced but it took two requests to get it right
Superb service and fantastic food. Very generous portions. Desserts are huge!
Went there for a birthday and it was absolutely delicious and fun! Because the food was a little slow, our amazing server gave us a 50% discount! He was also incredibly attentive and understanding of our frequent and varied requests.
The bread and cheese as appetizer was of course amazing. I'd LOVE more vegetarian options though!
I am gluten free. It was very nice to have s sous chef come speak to me about my needs and bring his card. However the execution of. Gluten free meal was beyond sub par. As someone force to cook my meals different than others I can appreciate the difficulty. I ordered Veal Picatta with a side of gluten free pasta aglio olio. The souse chef an I agreed that the traditional flouring of the veal wouldn’t work. However you cannot take lean veal and grill it with out turning tough and impossible to chew. Perhaps, as I do at home, keep the same technique as usual substituting a gluten free flour blend? The pasta was inedible and I returned it twice. I understand with gluten-free pasta you have to be careful not to overcook it or it turns to mush. However this was so undercooked that I can barely chew it. In addition it was cold like it had been cooked earlier and sat on the side just waiting for someone with a gluten allergy to order it. I also understand how difficult it is to find a tasty gluten-free pasta, but I have found one in my local supermarket and cannot believe that a restaurant of the magnitude of Maggiano’s cannot find a suitable substitute for their gluten-free guests. For the price that we paid I was extremely disappointed. The server had said that what they would do for me was offer me a free dessert. What I wanted was an edible entrée.
I will however state that my colleagues meal he felt was above average and quite delicious.
Overall, I enjoy Maggianos. We reserved a table for 9, including my mother who uses a wheelchair for outside events. We were seated within 5 minutes of our 6:30pm reservation time which is totally acceptable. However, we did not receive our food until 2.5 hours later - yes...we waited until 8pm to get our meals which I do find unacceptable. A few people in our party ordered appetizers/soup and those did come out within the first 30-40 minutes along with bread baskets. Our drinks were filled regularly to start with but as the night progressed, our waiter visited less often. He indicated that he had a lot of tables to work and he apologized for lack of presence. However, back to the delay in the food orders. All but 2 in our party ordered from the classic menu (by one, take one home). I find it very difficult to understand why it took 2.5 hours from our arrival for our dinner to be delivered to the table and we were seated right outside the kitchen! Which leads to another issue. My mother was placed at the end of the table due to the wheelchair and ample room. However, every time a waiter/waitress went by, they kicked the back of her chair and once, a waiter kicked our table causing everything to move. I was disappointed in the service we received and my father said he would never go back to Maggianos.
Good thing we made a reservation, because when we arrived at 6:30 on a Sunday, there was a wait list. Apparently, it’s a popular restaurant. Service was relatively slow, especially from the bar. Various servers kept trying to drop off food at our table that we hadn’t ordered. The manager came by twice to tell us about things that they were out of that we had ordered, actually 3 times including the beer we ordered. The spinach and artichoke appetizer was quite good. Everything else was between so-so and pretty good.
Magginao is a great place to celebrate an anniversary!
Good Italian fare. The buy one, take one home pastas are a good deal (2 meals for $15). The bread is exceptional. So is the fried zucchini...
The food was excellent as always. Our server, Wesley, was exceptional. He made the experience even better by his knowledge of the cuisine, his professionalism, and his engaging personality. We highly recommend Maggiano's to anyone looking for good food, a lovely ambiance, and a great time.
Great Food, Great Service! Good time with friends. Bread is delicious!
Food was very basic. Not much flavor. Service was very slow and not many people there. Nats were flying around whole time. Chicken parmigiana very Over priced
Waiter was fantastic!!! We had such a great time celebrating my birthday.
Birthday dinner. Great food and great service. Just a bit overcrowded
The food is great but the tables are really close together and it's hard not to feel crammed in like sardines. Food came out in waves, first all at once and then long lags. We were told in a confirmation phone call that our whole party had to be there to be seated then the host/hostess was borderline rude to my son when he arrived early that they needed to seat us right now, although we were 15 minutes early and the whole party wasn't there. Food was good but for a $300 tab, not sure we'll be back anytime soon.
It was my first time I enjoyed the food and service.
Food was good, but restaurant was very crowded. Noise level was somewhat problematic. Our table was beside the main entry way which I didn't like.
The only good thing was the mimoss. Food was cold, service was mediocre . It certainly has gone downhill since my last visit. Will definitely not be returning
