Maggiano's - Denver Pavilions Ratings and Reviews
We were in town on an annual romantic getaway for our anniversary. We have a sentimental connection for eating at Maggianos, so it was a great surprise to see one when it was time for our meal. This location is in the heart of the Denver 16th Street Mall ( I think that's what it's called), so there was lots of activity surrounding it including shops, live music, etc. As usual, the food and service were great. This location matched their quality nationally, so we'd definitely select it again if we were in town.
Unfortunately, we were just another table to be turned. Our server was friendly enough, but very busy and didn't take much time with us. Food was not good. I ordered a dish with shrimp and house made fettuccine. Hardly any pasta, swimming in sauce. The shrimp were burnt. They were turned over to the non burnt side for presentation. Seemed like they were trying to hide their obvious mistake.
The other entreewas a lobster carbonara. Lobster was tough, sauce was separated and grainy, and to top it off, there was a dried drop of red sauce on the plate.
Just not good.
Had a reservation and were seated right away. Friendly, attentive server. Loved the Complimentary bruschetta served to table by the chef since it was our first visit. Entrees were delicious! Bustling, fun atmosphere since it was Post Bronco home game. Would definitely go again.
My boyfriend & I here from out of town this past weekend, we decided to try Maggianons & it was AMAZING! It was our first time there & the server told the chef & he came out with the best brucetta I have ever had! He gave it to us as a "thank you gift" for visiting. Our server made us feel so welcomed and asnwred all our questions. Throughout our meal the chef would come by & check on us & also gave us free lemon moon cookies! The food was amazing!
We had tickets to Frozen that Saturday night. I reserved Maggianos because of the location of the restaurant and the food. Our party included my husband, myself, our children and grandchildren. We had an excellent waitress and everything was great. We were able to enjoy our dinner and make it to the theater on time. We love your food.
I love this particular Maggiano's location for it's ambience. The lighting is cozy, the music of classic crooners fabulous. Close to the 16th Street Mall and heart of downtown Denver. The restaurant does get noisy but is not overwhelming. This is a wonderful place to eat for a group and ordering family-style is an option. The night my friends and I went, the food and service were exceptional. Some of my favorite dishes were the sausage and peppers appetizer, chicken and shrimp with gluten free pasta, veal piccata, New York cheesecake and creme brûlée. A very fun dining experience!!
The waitress encouraged the chef's special that came with a "Meal to go". My son and I were visiting and forgot to ask for it. The waitress never brought it. We ordered the appetizer and needed some explanation but the waitress left before we could ask. Our meals were delivered with NO SMILE from the server. I have been to Maggiano's in Las Vegas, Chicago and this location before, each time the entire experience was absolutely splendid. This experience was so very disappointing.
This is probably my favorite Italian Restaurant in Denver, and I've been to quite a few of them. The AMAZING DISHES and value you get from their Classic Pasta options are unbeatable. I love the Mom's Lasagna - and the fact that I get to take A FREE one home with me afterwards... well... if you're reading this review, BOOK A TABLE TO MAGIANNO's NOW! You won't regret it
The food and our waitresses were awesome. We had a pretty big group and the only ones who made us feel unwanted were the FOH hostess and one of the managers. The hostess was rude to several of my family members and didn't apologize whatesoever. We needed to add a table to accommodate our group size and the manager came and just started pushing our table over without even telling us anything. He basically crushed us. Those two were one reason I wouldn't recommend this place. They don't seem to do well under pressure. The food was great and our waitresses were awesome but they need to do better and addressing their customers under pressure and make sure they understand the type of vibes they are putting out.
Food was wonderful as always. My wife and I ordered the Marcos meal as always as did two of our boys. The boys never got their salads, and when we asked he argued with us and told us they didn't order the Marcos meal. We had a party of 9 and everyone heard them. Unacceptable for our server to argue with us. Never been treated so rudely. One of our favorite restaurants but if we ever had Eli as a server again, I think I would walk out.
They had a great waiter covering to many tables. The service started out great. But as the place filled up the service fell apart. Waited 15 minutes for desert and another 15 minutes for the check.
The salad was not crisp and fresh.
For chain Italian Olive Garden is much much better and less expensive.
I love this restaurant the staff there is so nice to deal with if you have a special request they will go out of there way to get for. The food is delicious from the braised beef paperdelle to the chicken pi arts and the fettuccine alfredo absolutely delicious. Oh yes deserts all so good I always get one to take home. So if your in the are of 16th street mall stop by but I would make a reservation because it's worth it.
Excellent wait staff and ambiance! The chef comes to your table to discuss gluten free options.
We've been here more than a few times and it has always been consistent. The price is equatable for the amount and quality of the food. We highly recommend Maggianos!
My wife and I were celebrating our 33rd anniversary, nothing crazy, we decided to try Maggiano's and found a gem. We were seated right away in a cozy booth. Our waiter, Noah was more than attentive. He was pleasant and very professional. Our food experience was equal to the service. Superb. A chef also introduced himself and offered a taste of brushetta.
We enjoyed the evening there and will be back.
