Maggiano's - Denver Pavilions Ratings and Reviews
We were disappointed due to information we saw on the website and were told during a phone call. I have a temporary health issue that requires that I use a knee scooter. When confirming our reservation earlier, we were told that we would be put at a table with room for the scooter. The website said that valet parking was available. Neither was true. We pulled up to the location where the valet was supposed to be, and there was no valet. I immediately called the restaurant to see where the valet was only to be told there was no valet. This error required that I wait at the curb while my husband drove around looking for parking. When we were seated we were put in a corner booth that required my having to step up into the booth and then leave the knee scooter in the way of people walking past the corner booth, including wait staff. Additionally the weightor was obnoxious and loud. Maggianios could do a much better of job of informing and assisting those with mobility issues.
The food was great as always. However, there was dirty dishes at almost every portion of our meal. From the dirty small plates to use for bread and olive oil to dirty forks. The waiter seemed annoyed to serve us and gave us a giant list of food he does not like. Maybe he was having a bad night?
We have gone to maggianos several times over the years when Grandma visits. The food is consistently really good. I loved the seafood pasta and my son inhaled the ravioli. We also love the buy one, get one to take home pasta deal that seems to be a permanent part of the menu. They also really pay attention to food allergies and have gluten free options.
We made reservations a month in advance. I never got a follow up confirmation call, so I called to confirm reservations the day before and there was no record, but because I made them online and had a confirmation number the manager took my info over the phone and made sure we would not loose our spot. I reserved for 9 and when we arrived they had us down for 3. They still made sure to get us seated, but it was a tight squeeze. The food was delicious.
Great Ambiance for New Years Eve!!
We come from Fort Collins for our family tradition of an early dinner!
Service is excellent!!! Staff was festive and fun, yet professional!
Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and we had a great time. We will definitely come back again next New Years Eve!!
Thanks for providing such an awesome experience.
My boyfriend and I made a reservation there to celebrate our anniversary and it was an amazing date night. I loved how thoughtful they were. Our table was decorated with happy anniversary confetti and a candle. Loved how romantic they made it feel. The food and drinks were amazing. Had excellent service. We both enjoyed Maggiano’s a lot.
We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated 30 minutes later. The table was pushed so far away from it's wall sconce that I was seated fully in the doorway entrance to the busy restaurant. It was the holidays but the place is a chain food factory. The pasta was good but the chicken was overcooked. The premium Barolo glass was bland beyond recognition.
We had a reservation for our anniversary dinner on December 28th. This was the 2nd year that we had made plans for dinner at Maggianos for our anniversary. We had such a great time last year, we chose to come back.
Unfortunately, that was a bad choice this year. Either the chef has changed or they did not care as much this year. We didn't see our waiter very often, our soft drinks went completely empty on two occasions. We told him in the beginning that it was our anniversary, he did nothing. Last year our waiter brought out a plate of the lemon cookies with a couple candles and had written HAPPY ANNIVERSARY on the plate....
Back to the food... our appetizer of fried mozzarella was over cooked and no longer warm... my entree was good, spaghetti and meatball with meat sauce, hubby had chicken Parm and it was also over cooked... our dinner came with a dessert and we choose nonnas pound cake or something like that, the description said something about caramelized bananas, pound cake, chocolate syrup, ice cream and chocolate shavings...
The bananas weren't caramelized, one side of them were untouched while the other had some kind of crystalized something and tasted like butane... the pound cake was dry... the ice cream and chocolate syrup were the best part of it all sadly.
I asked on the way out about the lemon cookies and the hostess offered to get us some to go, best part of the night but they still didn't taste as good as I remember.
Disappointing visit - lost reservation, over crowded restaurant, inattentive staff, disruptive patrons (seriously, a 7 year old running around barefoot and in PJs?!). Definitely not the Maggiano's it once was. Hoping it was an off night, and not the new norm.
We have a Christmas Eve tradition of a delicious dinner at Maggiano's. We were seated almost immediately despite the fact that we arrived early. Food was delicious and a great value, martinis were superb and the chocolate caramel cake was sinful! We also dine at Downtown Denver Maggiano's on Christmas Eve to see the decor. Please don't ever change it! It's warm, welcoming, very elegant and creates a perfect atmosphere for a holiday celebration.
The server we had was mediocre she was not very good a keeping up on drinks and when we asked her for something it seemed she had an issue with us asking. The family style meals used to get extra take home food and now that has changed if we would have known that we would have opted for the cheaper route of dinner with the extra to go food. Also asked for chicken Parmesan and when we received the meal it was the lighter side chicken Parmesan and our waitress when we asked said I can get you more she brought back 3 pieces instead of the whole order of 4. The lack of customer service and value of the food is starting to get lower. Never again will we order Family style at 34 a person since we can order the Marcos meal cheaper and have to go meals for the next days lunch or dinner
As a Maggianos regular we go for ambiance, food & service. The costs have gone up, and that is a deterrent. Also the dishes we ordered were drier than usual on the sauce
Rigatoni D and Pesto Linguini with pine nuts. (Pesto linguini is not on the menu, I did not add meat, buy was still charged the same as Rigatoni D. ) I wish the basalmic vinegar could be left at the table for the bread & oil. The service was spectacular! Robin was amazing!
