Maggiano's - Denver Pavilions
The seasonal patio seating has the feel of dining on the bustling streets in one of the Little Italy neighborhoods across the country. Regular visitors include Colorado Governors – present & past, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, music stars such as Jon Bon Jovi, members of the Denver Broncos, & other sports & community celebrities.
We went for lunch and then a play for my Mother in laws birthday 85!
Always the waiter or waitress would ask is this a special occasion?
But he was so busy looking at his other tables to be filled he did not pay much attention to us
Our water ran out twice where we had to get his attention
Everything else was fantastic as usual
I should have made it known to him but I didn’t
I put it on the reservation
Next time should I tell the person that seats us??
Great food and service. Superb salad and calamari.
Maggiano's - Denver Pavilions never disappoints. The host/hostesses are professional and courteous. The waitstaff is top notch. The food is amazing and its such a nice treat to be sent home with a pasta meal for the future. Highly recommended and wonderful for special occasions.
My only criticism is that I not a big fan of creamy sauces and the dish I ordered had ricotta in it. The waiter said it doesn’t have to be added or he thought there was just a dollop of ricotta in it so I could control how much I wanted. He should have checked with the chef to see if that was how it was prepared. The dish came with the ricotta mixed in. The dish was creamy and not as good as I hoped. The waiter didn’t come back to ask me if it came like I ordered it. That was very disappointing. The waiter was very friendly otherwise. Most of their specialty pasta selections have cream added. It would be nice if they had a more balanced selection in that section.
Went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy and noisy. The food and service was good but the noise level made conversation difficult. They have a good variety of Italian and american fare on the menu and a good wine list so they can appeal to a wide range of tastes. I had a center cut filet and which was served with asparagus and wedge potatoes and it was very good, great tasting sauce on the steak. I would go back but would try to avoid the weekend.
Been to Maggiano's [this specific one] many times before; menu has changed since the previous visit and food slipped considerably on this visit. Was not the great quality and consistency that I have come to expect from past visits. I sent my dish back as the only taste it had was black pepper and I am not a picky guy. Another at our table indicated that so many capers were used in her red sauce dish that all she tasted was the salty brine of the caper. I will give it another try but this visit was certainly lacking from the standpoint of taste and the quality of the food.
My asparagus was burnt and dry, i was brought something other than what was discribed. I've been here a few times in the past but I believe the quality of the food has pretty badly declined. I dont think we will be back anytime soon.
Loved it. Service was wonderful. Food was great!
Great food. Always fast and friendly service. Love the menu changes
Maggiano's is a great place to go with friends and family if you like amazing Italian food, a vibrant social environment, and a rustic feel. Try either the dinner for two or the Buy 1 get 1 to take home option but you can't go wrong with literally anything on the menu. Definitely recommended!
It was a good time out good food and good service would go back
Everything was fine except we didn't get the bogo entree. I guess the waiter spaced and we had to get to a movie.
Our Server - I believer her name was Rachel. (Going on a trip to Bangkok? soon ) Was excellent and honest when asked her opinion about different entrees. She was spot on friendly and attentive.
As always, great service and great food.
They were very fast and attentive. A good experience.
Hannah was our waitress and she was absolutely AMAZING and the food was amazing.
Dinner was good but it was loud and if you are sitting anywhere else but at a booth it is cramped. The service was good, our waiter was attentive!!
We were really impressed with the value of the couple's menu. Our party got a apps, a delicious dinner, dessert and additional entrees to take home for like $44/couple. Highly recommend that you make a reservation ahead of time if you're going on a busy night (Friday and Saturday evening are basically guaranteed to be on a wait list).
Consistently good food and excellent service. A little disappointed the Christmas decorations had already been taken down since it was the 11th day of Christmas
Room was very warm and crowded. Would be difficult to get out if fire occurred. One menu given to four people. Initially Waiter seemed anxious for us to order. Once we ordered, he disappeared. We had to flag him down. Food was mediocre and priced as ne outdoor expect for area.
We always enjoy Maggiano's. Good food, with good service, and they are very good about handling allergy issues.
Even though we were in a rush, Everything about the meal was perfect. I have food allergies, and the waitress was very kind in helping me find the right items I could eat and enjoy.
Our waitress I believe her name was Bre was outstanding not overbearing but there when needed. The food always good. Reservations always spot on. Overall great place and the value for what you get can’t be beat period.
Wonderful service, generous portion (especially with the tame home pasta deal).
First off, the food had no flavor, the fettuccine noodles were hard, the Alfredo sauce was watery, and we added chicken for an additional price, each received three small slithers of non season chicken. Definitely not worth the additional charge. I had an eye lash in my pasta, and our waiter checked on us once, he was too busy with his other tables. Beautiful restaurant, however not worth the amount we paid for. Definitely will not go back!
Great friendly customer service. I had the Denver steak, cooked just perfect, mashed potatoes are delicious couldn't get enough and the bread they bring, warm, soft and good! Great portions.
I had for diner linguine di mare , it was delicious, the service was great, I highly recommended.
We went for The New Year and it was tasty as ever! However, one of our meals were missing the take home portion from the dinning for two menu. It’s okay, we understand that it was a busy day of the year! We will return!
The food was good but mine came out cold but plate was super hot which was odd I was told they put cold pasta on top which I thought was odd my friends food came out hot
Was there on New Year's Eve. As usual, great food, great service and great place.
Awesome food. Always like the giant meatballs, this place is the best
Great food and great portions. Ended up having to take the rest to go. The waiter was on point and made sure we always had our water refilled and checking in to assure we did not need anything additional. We were there for our New Years Eve dinner. Highly recommend going if you haven’t been.
We go here every year for our Anniversary, and the snow this year still didn't stop us. Food was excellent, Sean the server was great and I really don't have anything negative to say. They don't rush you out, and especially on NYE. Will be back again next year and will fit a few extra times between now and then.
I have several food allergies and they are so careful here that the chef comes out to discuss those allergies with me and then prepares my food. I love the atmosphere here. Lots going on, great people watching and great food. Decorated nicely for the holidays too.
Food served only lukewarm, meatballs cold. Service was poor New Years Eve at 5pm.
Great Italian off the 16th Street Mall in Denver. I love the mussels and cheesecake.
Terrible... we've gone here for the last 3 years on our anniversary.
Usually it's very different.
This time we were sat right at the entrance to the restaurant. Right next to a huge 20 top.
We waited forever to even get water, as our waitress was taking orders from the big party!
After we ordered and received our food, noticing my husband's steak was rare (it is against his religion to eat rare meat), we had to send a bus boy to find our waitress.
She took the partially eaten steak from his plate and took it back to be cooked longer. When it was brought back, the edges that were cut were well done while the center was still rare!!! At $40 for a steak, you kinda expect it to be cooked properly.
Needless to say, after this experience, we won't be returning to maggiano's.
Had reservation at 8pm, called ahead to remind them, said they would text, we came in waited 20 mins, watched other people get seated , I had to remind hostess we were here, and the place was closing at 9pm. We basically couldn't enjoy the meal because it looked like place was just rushing people.
One of my Denver favorites. Friendly waiters, good food and Italian ambiance. Perfect.
