Maggiano's - Denver Pavilions Ratings and Reviews
We’ve been interested in Maggiano’s for some time but never had the opportunity to try it. We were headed to a concert and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, great ambiance and the waiters were very attentive. We highly recommend it.
Very good restaurant, food and service is great. One complaint, we were a party of 7 crammed around a small round table, I requested reseating to a square table that was empty. The hostess said the table was not available but during our entire time there 1hr1/2, the table stayed empty. No one sat there.
My team from work held our annual holiday lunch here. It can get noisy and they pack the tables in, but the lunch menu is varied and the food has never been disappointing. They do push the family style dining for large parties which is mildly irritating, but they gave us the regular menu without a fuss. We have too many disparate tastes to make the family style menu work. The decorations at this time of the year are tastefully done and add to the atmosphere. The service was good - we never felt neglected though the place was packed. The team picks where they want to go for this lunch and the good times we've had in the past has them voting for here every year.
Awesome food, service and ambiance. We love it here, especially at Christmas time. If I were to critique anything (which didn't affect my overall rating) and that would be the bar service. The waiters place the order and its up to only a couple of bartenders to fulfill. But, the reward is perfect martinis and drinks every time...
I enjoyed a lovely birthday lunch with my daughters. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was amazing. I had the lobster carbonara, it is awesome. The buy one get one free pasta is the best deal! We all went home with orders. We enjoyed the pitcher of sangria and the bread is great and we ate plenty. You must try the creme brûlée! Perfect! The Christmas decorations are beautiful as well. Totally enjoyable experience.
Food well prepared, presentations a bit sloppy, except for the asparagus and filet other dishes were standard and not terribly creative. I hosted a table of 8. The server came to the end of the table away from me and proceeded to give info about the menu and specials to that end of the table only and left my end unenlightened. He was perfunctory and not at all welcoming, just doing a job. I like Mangiannos and will continue to recommend it but was disenchanted this time. A WARNING TO MANAGEMENT: YOU NEED TO CARRY REASONABLE STOCK OF BETTER NON-ALCOHOLIC BEERS. YOU CERTAINLY CARRY LARGE STOCKS OF ALCOHOLOC STUFF AND DONT RUN OUT OF THOSE. IT IS INEXCUSABLE TO RUN OUT OF NA-BEER!
Always a great Christmas season tradition! I changed it up this time and ordered the chicken piccata and it was mouth watering! The others ordered the eat one here take one home deal and were very happy with theirs. The beef tagliatelle was well enjoyed by my adult son!
Maggiano's is an Italian Restaurant and my favorite in the Denver area. This night, we watched the Parade of Lights then had a 7:30pm dinner at Maggiano's. Everything was a minimum of very good. The bottle of Chianti was excellent and the waiter was one of the best. None of the dishes were rushed, the calamari appetizers were fabulous and both of our entries were very good. Maggiano's can have a bad night now that we have so much experience with them and I don't expect a bad night to happen anytime soon. There are other Italian Restaurants out there that serve authentic Italian food and have very good atmosphere with Dino and Sinatra singing in the backround. That said when we want Italian food, good atmosphere and a less than $$$$ price, Maggiano's it will be. For 25 years now, Maggiano's has continued to stay on the top of my list of Paisan restaurants.
We made reservations and still got stuck in booth big enough for 5 and there was only 2 of us. They brought our food out the wifes was correct but mine was wrong. Took everything back and eventually got the food right. The wifes was cold in spots since it probably just set under the heating lights. No bread until we were almost done eating. Did get a free dessert.
My husband and I got together with another couple and had dinner at Maggiano's on Friday night. The reservation system worked perfectly -- I reserved a table for 5 online and got a confirmation call from a live person during the day and I was able to let her know that there would only be 4 of us. We were seated after a short wait (we were a little early). The holiday decorations were beautiful and the atmosphere was very festive with a full house and everyone clearly having a good time. Our waitperson was exceptionally professional. He was so personable while professional at the same time. We ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer -- they were out of this world delicious. The portion sizes were much larger than I expected -- I needed a box to take my leftovers home with me. My husband and I got the Meal for Two which included an entire entree each to take home so we had leftovers plus two full entrees to take home. It was all wonderful on every level -- the food was exquisite and the atmosphere and service were perfect for a holiday experience.
We were very disappointed by the fact that we mentioned a birthday celebration when making our online reservation and again when we sat down. Our server was not friendly at all and seemed a bit irritated to be waiting on us. He mixed up one of our orders and we had to wait quite some time for another order. The food was amazing as it always is - just disappointed that no mention of my daughter's 18th birthday was made.
We had a 7:00 reservation and when we arrived at 6:45 we were told that they were running late and they didn't know when my table would be available. The lobby was packed, trying to get to the hostess stand was a sea of elbows and handbags. We finally sat down around 7:35 and our server was obviously frazzled from a hectic day. Our appetizers came out with our first course and our beverages were just a couple minutes before that. Past the first course though things slowed down and felt less chaotic. By the end of the evening our server was on the ball and boxed everything up and bagged it for us to go and we ended up tipping her very well because of the awesome level of service.
We have had dinner at Maggiano's on Thanksgiving for the past 3 years and this was our worst experience. Service was not good at all. Took a long time for waitress to approach our table. Waited a very long time for sodas/wine. Then our food actually arrived before we even got our salads. Portions were served in tiny little bowls - as if they had run out of platters and bowls. Food arrived very very choppy. First we would get a plate of turkey then 10 minutes later our pasta arrived. We received a bowl of corn that was small enough for 1 serving. Didnt get gravy until end of meal after asking several times. Loved being with our family but what a big big big dissapointment. Even though it's a busy holiday, they need to be sufficiently staffed or not take sooooooo many reservations. Will find a new place for next year. What a bummer.
This was a 1st for our family, having thanksgiving at a restaurant. Matt our waiter was terrific, Italian portion of the meal was outstanding. The traditional thanksgiving portion of the meal was just ok a little bland, but ok. I would definitely return for thanksgiving just for the atmosphere,. The holiday decorations were amazing and staff was very friendly
It was our second year dining here for our Thanksgiving meal. We choose to do so because of great experience last year.
This year’s experience was not so good.
Booked reservations in mid October- so early.
Was taken to a table in the worst area near the entrance with heavy foot traffic. We asked for a different table. I made reservations early to avoid this exact thing.
There were several mishaps throughout dinner: no bread after hearing it was coming 3 times, empty drink glasses, served another table’s dinner but the worst was our meal served without serving utensils. We each had only a fork and knife.
We asked to speak to a manager and the female manager was sent to our table. We explained we had no way to serve the food but before we had to chance to tell her our food was now cold, she walked away rudely as we were still taking to her.
We got our utensils but the food was too cold to enjoy.
Our waiter was good and in the end made things right and comped our meal. Because of this we will dine there again.
Love coming here for Thanksgiving. Their menu is family style, classic Thanksgiving feast. The price is great for the portions you get. Plus you get to take the food home! My only negative was that the tables are so close together, it is difficult for anyone to get through, let alone the servers. And while the apps came very quickly, the main dishes took so long...understandable for how busy they were but still, something to note.
The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The Alfredo had a weird after taste. It’s like the flour in the sauce did not cook long enough or the sauce separated once the cream was added. I feel like the quality and portions have gone down over the last year. We won’t be celebrating our special occasions here anymore.
