Excelente comida y atención. Un gran lugar para pasar un gran momento
It was amazing! Can’t wait until next time! The Maggiano salad and the fried mozzarella were delicious but the shrimp scampi literally melted in your mouth. It was amazingly delectable.
The food was good as is usually is. Wait staff are usually well-trained and on the ball, however, the server on this visit was on the ball enough to make sure that the soup for one diner and salad for another were not delivered together....so one diner just about finished the salad before the other diner's soup was delivered. Also, spaghetti and meatballs were ordered, but only spaghetti was delivered and time was lost correcting that error. We visit this eatery on a regular basis and the food and the service are usually top notch. Maybe more training of staff is needed.
Arrived at 545 so had some quiet time without much noise to interfere with conversation. That always makes a difference in how much I enjoy my meal.
We probably return about once a month and have found the food consistency good if not better, and the service. and atmosphere, very nice.
One of my families favorite!
My Son's 21st Birthday dinner party was great. The food and service was awesome! Can't wait to go there again. Two thumbs up!!!!
My sister loves to come to Maggiano's each year to celebrate her birthday. The food and service were great as usual and we look forward to celebrating there again next year.
We loved our Sunday brunch at Maggiano's restaurant. The food and service were superb as usual. We hope to go back again soon.
The Chevy Chase location is pushing a new seafood menu AND I MEAN PUSHING which is fine but What is not fine is them hiding the original menu in between the new menu as if its not being offered.BUT IT IS but you have to say hey where is that buy 2 meal deal or where is the lasagna??? Completely not impressed with the new menu or the strong armed tactics!
Took my parents for brunch. We loved it! Great job Magg!
We dined at the restaurant while visiting Chevy Chase. You would never confuse the meals at the restaurant with home-made but they are OK. We ordered charred tomato soup, grilled salmon and shrimp diavolo. The soup was very good and the meal portions generous. The shrimp diavolo was not as spicy as advertised. The salmon was cooked medium as ordered. The service was good.
The wait service was outstanding. He mentioned all of the special available that evening and made suggestions on what was good to eat. Also made sure the tables were cleared after each food course.
Awful food and terrible service
This is a wonderful place. The food is great and the customer service is awesome. Our waiter Steve was phenomenal.
We were celebrating a birthday. The five of us were seated in a corner booth. When I scooted in I found a half eaten piece of bread. I shrugged it off, things like that can happen. I'm actually thankful for that piece of bread, because I then took a closer look at my glassware and silverware...found dirt in the glass, and pieces of dried spinach on my silverware. All of our glassware ended up being dirty. And a couple more pieces of dirty silverware. It was pretty gross and put half of the party off. But some of us used to live nearby and visited this location often. We were really excited and looking forward to eating here and decided to stay.
We ordered from the family style menu. Of course we got the Maggiano's salad (our fave!!) with the blue cheese on the side (one in our party despises it.) It was served without the blue cheese in the salad. But it didn't come on the side either. We waited awhile for some one to come check on us and the first course, but no one did. The four of us just finished our salads without the best part of the it--the blue cheese! We told our server and the chef made another salad for us, which we appreciated. Pasta portions were pretty sad though. It felt like we were rationing or something. But the cheese cake was delicious.
I was super disappointed that my birthday note in the reservation was disregarded. No candles for the birthday boy.
The manager didn't stop by once to address any of our issues either.
Lol, oh and we asked for our parking to be validated. Ended up paying full price even though our server took our ticket, and returned to us with alleged validation.
What's the deal Maggiano's? You used to be so good!
The worst experience I have ever had dining out!!! It was my 30th birthday and our server was terrible and the manager did nothing to help!!!! I will never recommend anyone to this establishment nor will I ever go back!!!!!!! Very disappointed and wasn’t worth what we paid!!!!!!
Excellent food and ambiance for date with my granddaughter
We were treated so well. Our group really enjoyed eating there. The service was friendly and attentive. Wish there was one near us in Upstate NY.
Good food and service. Nice location
Food made up for the inattentive waiter. Three of us had the chicken parm and it was absolutely delicious. One had carbonara which they said was OK not the best they’ve ever but very good and one had a shrimp dish they said was excellent. Cost is average for mid level Italian restaurant. Had a great time and the food was outstanding. Would definitely return...had lefrovers for lunch a few days later yum!!
I was celebrating my birthday and i really enjoyed it!!!
They blew the fact that it was my wife’s birthday. I don’t know if it was opentable or the restaurant. I made it clear on opentable and to hostess. No candle etc.
Maggiano's is fun, very friendly and the food ain't bad either. While the cooking may not blow you away, the salads and pasta's we had were better than most. But its the friendly service and atmosphere that will bring us back. Recommended, perhaps not highly, but urgently. You have to go. Small but decent wine list too.
We went for Valentine's Day and had an excellent dinner. The service was only ok - they were very busy - but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.
It was our first time back since we got married and also Valentines day. Our meal was so good the staff very friendly
Good people ,great customer service,,excellent food
Maggianos is one of my favorite classic pasta restaurants. I enjoyed the tomato sausage flatbread and three cheese ravioli. Overall, great service and food.
My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day here. The restaurant is consistently good across all measures. The food is always top notch as is the service. Even on such a busy night as Valentines Day, the ambiance was superior for a romantic evening. It was made better by the fact that we had a booth to ourselves. Kudos! Highly recommended.
Me and my wife were celebrating Valentine's Day & it was our first time there and everything was perfect
Went for Valentine's Day dinner with my fiancé. I'll start off with the bad, then the good.
Bad: This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Two hours to get our main course and dessert, and that was only after we complained to a manager, because complaining to our waiters (two waiters were splitting responsibilities at our table, which we think caused all the issues) did not seem to expedite the process, as it seemed they just disregarded our table the entire night. Drinks were never refilled (our original drinks were gone after a half an hour), and we did not get our drinks until after sitting down for over half an hour, which they messed up three times. One of the drink mess ups included them bringing us a drink we asked specifically NOT to have because of allergies (allergic to Amertto).
The good: We were seated promptly and were allowed to check in early for our reservation. The ambiance is nice. A chef came out to answer any questions we had about their menu and possible allergic reactions because our waiters did not know. The manager we complained to rushed our order and gave us a free drink, and was extremely apologetic, which we believe was sincere. As we were leaving we also mentioned our experience to the GM (Chris) and another manager (Teddy) simply to bring to their attention our issues so that hopefully no one else would have to go through something like that, especially on a special day like Valentine's Day. Chris and Teddy apologized and Teddy went one step further an gave us some gift cards and asked that we give them another chance in the future. This was a great unexpected gesture. We will be going back in the future and hope to give a better rating as I'm sure our experience was an exception to the rule.
However, our rating is for our experience we had on Valentine's Day, and it was very poor.
Enjoyed the food and service! Also our parking was validated too! Will go back again!
I believe our server was Aldi... He was wonderful and made the children's experience extra special. I highly recommend.
Maggiano's restaurant is our favorite Italian restaurant in the Chevy Chase area. We love really great Italian food. We always find the food, service, and atmosphere to be superb. We plan to come back to Maggiano's in the near future.
FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT!, SERVICE IS ALWAYS GREAT! BUT THE NOSE THAT NIGHT COMING FROM A LARGE PARTY SINGING OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD WAS VERY IRRITATING AND IF I DIDNT ALREADY HAVE MY FOOD I WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT
Great service, good food, thanks for a fun evening!
This was my first visit at this restaurant and I was completely impressed from start to finish with everything. Our waiter Abel was phenomenal. The food was excellent. All staff worked very hard. We will be back again and again!!!!
It was a nightmare! We had a party of 8 and none of our food or drinks came out at the same time. 2 member of the party did not get their food until about a half hour after everyone else. We had to request it 4 times to the manager. The GM finally came over and tried to smooth everything over and offer complimentary items, but the damage had already been done. I would not recommend this restaurant for a large party or anything other than a quick drink. Beer selection is awful.
Issue was service, when food was requested. Took 45 minutes to receive and one person was rude to my guest. Very pricey for family style. But was fun for get together. I just didn’t like the time we had to wait for our food when requested at a decent time frame while others received their food within 10 minutes of getting there.
It's been a good while since we've last been to Maggiano's. My overall rating belies the actual dining and food, which was great. Our server was hustling, attentive, and polite. The food was appropriately comfy. I still think this is one of the better deals in the entire city.
It was upon leaving that re-ignited the reason why I've avoided this particular Maggiano's from the last visit almost a year ago.
Our previous experience had three adults and four children (around 8 years old) sitting in the first-come-first serve section at the front of the restaurant. We were served by what I can only describe an over-zealous jokester with an unnatural focus on children. He would spit out wise cracks, touch them on the shoulder, try to get them to laugh, interrupt conversations, give them free ice cream....the whole thing just felt weird and inappropriate. It left such a negative impression that I never wanted to return.
Well, after about a year, we decided to forego cooking and secured last-second reservations (thanks, OpenTable!) to this particular Maggiano's. After enjoying a wonderful family evening, we were walking through the front of the restaurant and the prankster of yore pops up out of nowhere. "Hey," he smirks, "you have to pay me for the meal," he says to my 9 y/o son. "Where's my money? Hahaha!"
My son looks confused. I immediately recognize this guy from before, and I give the gentleman the, "OK, that's enough" look, and I gently try to steer my son towards the door. But, apparently, not getting a reaction wasn't what the waiter was after, so he keeps on. I'm now more aggressively ushering my son out of the way with Mr. Jokester still trying to create a reaction with, "Come back! You need to pay me. Hahaha!"
I'm sure this schtick is viewed by many as a hoot. Neither my wife nor I are in this camp.
