Maggiano's - Cherry Hill Ratings and Reviews
Great food, excellent location. Friendly wait staff and valet attendants. Me and my college friends come here for semi-annual get together to chat and chew. Noise level is general quiet and the atmosphere is very warm. Would highly recommend this area to more of my friends when in the Cherry Hill/Philly area.
We weren't impressed with the food, we ordered chicken franchaise, chicken piccata, and a beef Ragu. The Franchaise and Piccata were awful and didn't taste anything like they should. One was actually to replace the other because it was terrible. No flavor. Nothing homemade. They say everything is made from a "scratch kitchen". Which is supposed to sound fresh. I would hope it wasn't out of a premade freezer dish. Just ehhh. Won't go back. Also the dishes are much smaller than they were years ago.
It was nice but it seemed less than the consistent quality we have experienced in the numerous times we have dined here. The server was moving fast and not in a positive. Quick with the bread and drinks but when there was an issue with my drink and the missing pasta I wasn't sure if something happened to it. He did not know the menu.
My husband has dined here for business, but it was my first time dining here with my family. It was to celebrate my birthday (which was noted when making the reservation). I did tell our server that it was my first time here. He didn’t explain the family style concept, not did he suggest any appetizers or ask if we wanted any salads with our meals. The food was good and came out relatively quickly. There was no mention or recognition of my birthday at all. Attention to our table was minimal, but we left a good tip
My requested birthday gift from my family was for all of us to be together for a quick getaway weekend. Philly was a 4 hr ride for all (Albany, North Fork/Long Island, Va Beach and Gulfport, Ms). After a day of touring historical sites, we returned to our hotel in Cherry Hill and Ubered to Maggiano's. Waiter was fabulous, knew the menu and offered suggestions. Food was great and portions plentiful. Even tho we did not order dessert, he brought out cookies and a candle. No birthday is complete without singing!!!
Great food made from scratch at a good price. Our waitress, Allie, was very attentive, patient and thoughtful. We were celebrating our son and daughter-in-law, to be, engagement. Allie surprised them with a “sparkly cookie plate”.
So glad I made reservations at Open Table. It was quick and easy and avoided the line.
I took my wife out for dinner for her birthday. It had been 3 years since our last visit. The food was as expected, very good, and just as I remembered.Italian dishes were better than other similar restuarants in the area.Seating was prompt,as I had a reservation.Selections of drinks suited my wife and I.
Food was very good. Our server forgot my soup, patatos and the reason we were their was my wives bday. I called and ask for a pc of cake and candle and he forgot that too. I never order dessert, but since he was bringing out a pc for her, I made everyone at the table order. That was a waste of my money. Very upsetting!
Food is always good. The services was really slow. We waited a while in between ordering and appetizers and pretty much everything else. We had to track the waiter down to give him the card to process payment on. That should never be. Also way too loud, we could not hear each other very well. I recommend keep specific waiters in areas and not have them jump from room to room on a night with heavy reservations.
Overall great experience! This was our first time here. Treated my parents to a nice dinner, and the food didn't disappoint! All 3 of us ordered the Atlantic salmon special served with shrimp over mashed potatoes. The food was well-cooked, flavorful, and adequately portioned. My mom said she had a lot more shrimp than salmon (about 12 pieces compared to our 6) but she wasn't complaining. I had a delicious chianti of which I unfortunately cannot recall the name, but it was $9 for a 6oz glass. The coffee was full-bodied and very much to our liking...my dad and I are tough critics when it comes to coffee. We shared the creme brûlée which was also delicious! Service was great, starting with the fella who seated us and Amber, our server. Our total bill came to about $100 which I found reasonable.
My only complaint is that it was a little loud due to chatter. The restaurant is designed with very high ceilings, maybe 15-20 feet. Because of this, the din of chatter in the dining areas was amplified. We had reservations for 6pm, were taken fairly close to the time, and it was a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy. My parents are hard of hearing and we were seated in a shell-shaped booth. If we were seated at a table, we could have conversed a little more easily (and maybe my parents should wear their hearing aides LOL). Would definitely go back!
This was absolutely the worst trip to a restaurant I have had in a very long time. From the time we got sat it took one waitress 20 minutes to come ask us if we would like drinks. 5 minutes later still no drinks but another waitress comes over to ask us if we would like drinks. When I say it took us 35 minutes to just get drinks I am not exaggerating. Finally both came back with our drinks and one took our food order. Out of four people that ordered for entrees a salad and then bruschetta appetizer, the only decent food was the bruschetta and my son's flatbread pizza. The sauce and the chicken parm was so sweet and generic I couldn't eat more than 8 bites and that was with being extremely hungry. All in all there are too many Fantastic Italian restaurants to ever go here again.
