I made reservations for my husband, myself, and our 6 month old son. I’ve been to this location before, and the service was great! This time it wasn’t that great. The waiter was very professional and sweet, but the lady who seated us wasn’t very friendly, and she said she’d get us a sling for our son’s car seat, but never came back. She didn’t hold back from passing by us several times, even looking at us, but never followed up on the sling. We shrugged it off. The part that was the most disappointing was the fact that the party behind us, who were seated after us, received their sling immediately. We informed our waiter of the mistake only to be told that they ran out, despite the fact that we arrived at our table and requested a sling BEFORE the party behind us. Not to mention that I added a request to be seated upstairs and I requested a sling not only during my reservation, but when we got to the restaurant. We were seated downstairs instead. It certainly ruined the start of our meal. We’re not a family that complains, but for such a special occasion such as Father’s Day, I expected more from the front staff. They are everyone’s first impression of the restaurant and service.
Father’s Day Dinner with my family!
Went to celebrate Father’s Day. Had a phenomenal experience between great food and our awesome waiter, Dink. Thank you!
Chicken Picata and Chicken Francese were both very good. We ordered Maggiano's salads which have blue cheese crumbles. There was so much blue cheese on the salads that it overpowered instead of complimenting.
It was a very great experience. Everyone was very welcoming and cheerful. The food was great and we really enjoyed ourselves.
It wasn't my best visit but still an overall good one. I loved the cookies they served for the birthday recognition. They were to die for.
We’ve eaten many times at Maggianos and thoroughly love the food. We’ve come to expect a certain level of service from this place. We made a reservation and arrived 15 mins before the time we reserved. We weren’t seated until almost a half hour after our reserved time. Our server didn’t check on us. We’ll come back, but we have had better experiences in the last.
The service and food were excellent but the glassware and silverware were horrible!! We had to keep sending everything back because it was unclean. I wanted to leave but my husband was very sympathetic under the circumstances.
Early Father’s Day dinner.
It was my little brother’s graduation dinner and Michael did an amazing job serving my family and making sure we had everything we needed for our special occasion
We were celebrating my son’s High School graduation. Perfect experience for the our family and friends!
This is the second time I have made Maggiano's my ideal dining experience for a celebration. My older Son and my younger Son have both now had Graduation dinners there. My family lives out of town, and it is such a great option for larger portions. The first Graduation we had more people fly in. We did the family style and everyone thought the food was excellent. They loved the music and atmosphere, and the quality of the servers. This time only my Sister could fly in. I loved the option of then just being able to individually order food. She loved it the second time just as much. She lives in Michigan, and was hoping Maggiano's would find it's way up there!
Nice meal. Andre was wonderful! He’s very personable and gave us great recommendations when we asked for advice.
Food was excellent as always.
We haven't been to Maggiano's in quite a while and we were quite disappointed. We had planned this dinner after graduation and while the hostess was great and seated us even though we were early, and they were extremely busy, our server was completely overwhelmed and it took a long to get bar drinks and food. The food wasn't anything like we had remembered and unfortunately was just medicore, at best.
Awsesome dinner and experience. The wait staff was excellent. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the bruschetta tour.
Maggiano’s is my family favorite restaurant in Charlotte. We have lunch or dinner there every time we visit our son. It’s our go to dining experience. We have taken family and friends to Maggiano’s and they were all pleased.
We had a reservation for 10 at 2:45. We weren’t seated until 3:10. It took a long time for our drink and food orders to be taken. When our food finally arrived, some of the plates were lukewarm while others were piping hot. It took another 20 minutes for the server to run the credit cards. We were there until 5:15. Although we told the restaurant ahead of time that this was a graduation celebration, no special accommodations were offered. This experience was not what I was expecting for my first visit to this restaurant.
Nice place but we were there for too long. Took us a while to be seated even with a reservation and it took forever to get our food and forever to get our checks.
I made an early dinner reservation (6:15p) to avoid a long wait because this location does a poor job of seating patrons by the reservation time. I arrived on time and was told "Thank you for checking in. We'll buzz you when there is a table." I hate being told that I am "checking in." I made a reservation for a table to be reserved so that I can be seated at the time I chose--not to be "checked in" for seating as some unknown later time. I looked at the main dining room and saw 11 of 25 tables were empty. With the dining room half empty, why was it necessary for us to stand 10 minutes beyond reservation time to be seated.? When the pager went off, we went to the hostess stand, yet nobody acknowledged us. Staff were walking right past, yet we might as well have been invisible. Eventually one of the hostesses behind me reached over my shoulder and just took the pager out of my hand without a word. No explanation of what was going on. After standing there several minutes, a host came up and waved us, so I assumed we were supposed to follow him (again no actual verbal communication). So we followed 20 feet only to be told to turn around because the table wasn't ready (despite 11 empty tables)! Finally we were taken to a table, but I did not receive a complete menu. I pointed that out to the waiter because it was difficult to see my girlfriend's complete menu on the other side of the table. He asked if I wanted a complete menu, to which I of course said yes, but he never came back with a menu. Instead, 5 min later, he came back asking for our order. We ordered the prix fixe menu for 2, which included appetizer, entree, and dessert. The server was really pushing a "special" chocolate cake "not listed on the menu" so we ordered that. When I received the bill at the end of the dinner, I was surprised to see there was a $2 upcharge for that "special" dessert. The sever never mentioned there would be an extra charge for that. That's dishonest. Poor experience.
Everything was excellent. Service, food, ambiance, and vibes. This is a wonderful restaurant for quality food at reasonable prices. We love "table cloth" restaurants..
Keith our waiter was AMAZING!!! He kept a smile on our faces, made us laugh a bit, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Charles was an amazing server and went above and beyond! So thankful!!
Birthday Celebration! Awesome food!
Great place for a little celebration. Had a waitress who was training so things weren’t as smooth but she had a pleasant personality.
Double Birthday celebration for me and my BFF. Food was fabulous and our server Whitney was wonderful!! Perfect perfect perfect!
We arrived at 7:12. I told the hostesses that we had reservations at 7:15. She said ok and gave us a buzzer. While we were waiting to be seated, several people that came in after us was being seated. So, we waited about 15-20 minutes and I approached the hostess desk and asked when will we be seated. Then she asked me have we put our name on the list. I replied yes, we had reservations at 7:15. Then the other hostess approaches and nonchalantly says, “oh I forgot to check them in.” Then she proceeds to tell us that she’s gonna sit another couple that came in after us, before she seats us. If anything, she should’ve seated us first. She had a nasty attitude with us. The food was good, but the experience before we ate, made me not fully enjoy myself. Then she never even apologized.
Food was great. Waitress left much to be desired (disappeared for extended periods of time). After we ordered there was a LONG wait b/f we got our salads. They 4got to put dressing on my Caesar. While I was waiting to tell our waitress about the lack of dressing another gentleman brought out the entrees. This is 1 thing I HATE b/c I didn't get to enjoy my salad before having to eat my lasagna! I had already told my date it's taking too long 4 our salads I know they're gonna bring our food out right after the salad. :/
What a great meal! Can't wait to go back for more. Highly recommend by us.
We appreciate very much being seated right away at the table we requested by window behind host/hostess station. It's a quieter spot and not too cold from AC. Also, my wife has disability and cannot walk too far or stand for too long. Your Spumoni gelato is our favorite desert. Thanks for asking and for caring. Dan & Saga Vanatta, Mint Hill, NC
I love Maggiano's...and I don't mind driving to Charlotte from Columbia SC...but would love it if there were one closer to me!
Our server was very attentive and friendly. Food was hot when it came out and delicious!
Farewell family dinner
We were disappointed in our brunch. We barely saw our server. It was not a busy time as the restaurant was less than one third full. We waited more than 30 minutes for our food. We had no water during this time nor could I ask for a refill on my coffee. I had no spoon or stirrer for my creme. The young man who brought our food couldn’t get away fast enough. My husband was most disappointed in his chicken and waffles. The waffles were dry and the chicken was burned. No one came to check on our food. My son’s lemon ricotta pancakes were flat. My French toast was cold & all of our plates looked as if the food has been thrown on them with no thought as to appearance. We did bring this to the attention of the manager. Adjustments were made, but we still waited another 30 minutes for our bill. We have had some great meals at Maggiano’s in the past but this was not one of them.
Tables were very cramped together on the inside otherwise really great experience.
Excellent food good quantity. Totally value for money
Maggiano’s was once one of our favorite restaurants. The last few times we have visited the service and food haven’t been as good as usual. This time our server forgot several things. I ordered a glass of wine, I waited over 30 minutes when she finally came back to the table I reminded her and within 1 minute it was delivered. She came by to tell us our food would be out any second, I reminded her that I had not received my salad. Again, she ran to the computer and within 1 minute it was delivered. Of course, our food came about 5 minutes later. We later ordered dessert. We waited and waited.. she came and asked if we were ready for the check. I told her we never received dessert and asked if we could just have it to go. Can’t say we will be back anytime soon.
We always enjoy our dinner there. Food is always good and the portions are generous. Waitstaff was friendly and efficient.
Just the noise level was high and not conducive to a conversation.
