Food was delicious and the service excellent.....I'm glad we choice this restaurant for my little one b-day...definitely will be back
While Maggiano’s still has a wonderful atmosphere and we experience excellent service, the food seems to have lost some of the authentic flavors as it once has. It is a shame this was once the only Italian restaurant that I felt came closest to the tastes of my heritage, and now it is just okay
The biggest drawback is the mentality of packing in too many tables, and getting seated in an area where two people cannot even walk by one another, because the table is practically in the circulation space. It makes for very uncomfortable dining and takes away from the dining experience.
Enjoyed my birthday celebration! Great service and food.
Good meal here and great service. Good for families.
It was my sister and I first time visiting and it was a great experience. She brought me up there for my birthday dinner. Our dinner was amazing, your cook really did a magnificent job on everything. The waiter we had, she was amazing, caring, and very helpful. She was very professional and had great customer service. The restaurant was very clean and peaceful. We will be back to visit, thanks again for everything, it was really worth the drive!
Wait was pretty long. Having reservations sped it up of course. Tip bar tables are first come first serve. So if someone gets up and you are waiting, you can grab it. Food was absolutely delicious and our waitress couldn’t have been more friendly.
We had reservations for 6:45 and were taken to our table at that time. The service was excellent, the food was priced right for the amount of food on the plate. I had veal Parmesan and sausage and peppers, more food than I could eat at one sitting. My wife had the Lasagna and had the same amount to take home, we will definitely be back.
Our experience was great! I made reservations for a nice booth for 4... it was perfect! Reservation was for 6:30.. we were seated at 6:25👍👍
... my only suggestion.. the Sangria was served in a very small glass... it’s usually in a reg wine glass.. don’t know if that’s s new thing or not.. but even so we drank 2 pitchers! Delicious!!
Great service and food was delicious
I surprised my husband with a night out for our anniversary, and we had a good time. We enjoyed the food and the service was good. Only thing that I wish was different was were we were seated. I was very busy which I understood for a Friday night. But when I made my reservation I indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary I would think that we would have been placed at a table not in the main entry way. I will return to eat there but in the future be more vocal about seating.
Great dinner experience for our group of 15 women in town for a women’s conference! I wish I could remember one or our servers names....she was fantastic!! It was her first night, and she served us with kindness and a sparkling personality! Even took a selfie with us. It was the first visit for 14 of the women to Maggianos (I eat at the one in Durham often), and it was enjoyed by all. Two meals didn’t come out with the others, but management came to table and made amends.
Was so nice not to have to yell to be able to talk to those at your table. Our waiter Rae was a delight who did an excellent job in seeing to it that we had an enjoyable evening. Loved being able to bring home a Classic or Speciality dish to eat at a later time by ordering one for my entree. The Ziti is awesome!! Wish there was a Maggiano's near me but unfortunately not.
The food was good with nice sized portions for the price, overall. We like that they still have spumoni on the menu for desert.
We asked for a recommendation on the wine list and it took forever to get it. We asked for a taste of one of the reds, which is sold by the glass, and it took forever to get it. We ordered a Caesar salad and Mussels Tuscan for apps (and specifically asked that we finish them before the meal arrived). The salad came out first, after a fairly long wait, and we thought they had forgotten the mussels. When the mussels did arrive, the server put them on the table when the entrees arrived, which is exactly what we asked not happen!
The server offered to keep our meals warm while we ate the mussels, when the right answer was to remake the dishes fresh as we did not pay for warmed over meals. The entrees disappeared, and when brought back after we finished the mussels, were clearly the same meals which had been kept warm - my pasta was dry from being left under a lamp or put back in the oven, and other telltale signs proved they were not remade.
In addition, it was my wife's birthday. I had requested a table or booth not in the main walkway or near the kitchen entrance/exit on OpenTable. When we arrived, our reservation was acknowledged but we were still given a buzzer and asked to wait. We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated...and then were seated in a booth right next to the kitchen entrance exit and a busy wait staff staging area!
Also, kitchen staff pushed carts by our table - one with rubber kitchen mats and one with plastic wrapped napkins - and right by other patrons. I do not expect a 5* experience but this was just classless.
My wife at least got her spumoni, but worst birthday dinner ever, so I'm going to have to take her out again somewhere else. We've been in Maggiano's in other cities and have never had problems. This location is clearly poorly managed.
Nice location and service was good. The bruschetta and calamari were very good. The main meals were decent Italian. Drinks were good especially the dirty martini.
Great food great service great price!
They sat us by the kitchen door. It was our anniversary. We left pretty quickly bc It was loud. Food was pretty good.
Food was very good. Our waiter was over taxed with a party of 7 that order so much, drinks and food I began to wonder if there was anything left for us in the kitchen, only kidding.
In addition they were very loud.
The dining room transmits noise in all directions not an environment that lends itself to conversation unless you like to yell.
Service was quick and at one pint was to fast, our salad and entrees were served almost simultaneously and that detracted from our enjoyment of the meal. Our waiter didn’t seem to know how to maintain the timing of our service.
This was our first time at this location. We were very pleased with the service and overall experience. They have a great selection that pleased everyone in our group, from age 5 to age 60. We will definitely be returning! 5 Stars.
It was our anniversary dinner, upon arrival there was no host to greet us so a bartender sat us. I indicated I had reservations because I had explained it was an anniversary on it. The bartender goes and says she will communicate this to the host. We get sat, we wait 15 minutes for the server to even bring us water. Keep in mind it’s Fourth of July and the restaurant wasn’t packed. In total the server came to the table a maximum of five times and two of those times were to get our drink order and our food order. We explained we wanted sharing plates, and she said she would divide the food whenever it was brought out. This as you can imagine never happened. After the dinner we expressed that the pasta was hard and cold, all she said was “which one would you like to go?” I didn’t have a chance to tell her that before as she never stopped by the table. So no one took the time to see that it was an anniversary and that we were trying to have a great dinner. Overall, it was horrible. I have had a better dinner at Olive Garden than here. Disappointed.
This visit was a bit lacking. Not by kitchen or server but management. We had a 4:45 reservation that we showed up 25 minutes early for due to the fact that we were done shopping at the mall. We were told that they were waiting for the 4:30 staff to arrive or we could sit at one of the booths at the bar right away. We decided to sit in the bar area. What we were not told was they only had one server in that area and he already had five tables he was waiting on. Service was extremely slow but you could not blame the server Danny for that. He was simply having to wait on too many tables plus bus them when a party was through eating. Danny did as well as could be expected. What I did not see was any type of support staff or management to help him. This mediocre visit was nothing but poor management.
Our trip to Maggiano’s was a combination of belated birthday celebrations as well as our 22nd wedding anniversary. I made a reservation for 1pm on July 4, 2019. We arrived early and were seated at 12:30pm. The food was good. I was happy to learn that Maggiano’s now offers a “lighter take” (fewer calories) on certain dishes which I took advantage of. I had the chicken piccata which was delicious. Hubby had the lasagna (and a 4-cheese ravioli to take home). Our guests has the grilled salmon salad and grilled chicken salad. Michael, our server, was pleasant but didn’t smile much. Will definitely go back!
Andre is the best!!!! He is so attentive, polite, humorous and a down right awesome man
We had a great time and the food was outstanding but the service was out of this world!!!!
The food and atmosphere was absolutely great! Our server was very attentive to our needs. Will definitely go back again!
Food and service were excellent. Surprised with each piece of chocolate cannoli cake for dessert.
New favorite restaurant. Great location. Food is always excellent. Servers are fantastic
We have been there before and have had good service and food. This time our sever was not attentive. Or food came out cold, she did not clear the table between courses.
Service was top notch and food was very good. Great value with the take home portions. Made the Birthday a very nice experience.
This was our first visit to Maggiano's in Charlotte. We were attending a friends wedding and decided to grab some dinner the night before and brunch the day we left. All was outstanding just like our other Maggiano's that we have visited. My wife and I do not have a Maggiano's in our home town so we look forward to eating at Maggiano's every chance we get when we travel. The friendly staff and manager as well as the great food continue to satisfy our culinary requirements. Don't miss this gem if you are in the area
Delicious food and great service
Maggianos is an absolute delight in all aspects!
Very good service from the waitress. Comfortable seating. Food was good.
Service was awful. Tables were so close together. Food tasted like overpriced frozen heat up food. Maggianos used to be great but is truly terrible now. Will not recommend or return.
We normally go to the restaurant as a family and order the family style menu. This is the first time we were not impressed with the service. The table was too small to accommodate 7 people the different dishes. The waitress had to enter the order in courses and the delay was just too long in between. It took 2 hours and because of a entertainment reservation (Charlotte Pops), we skipped desert and departed.
If I return, I will make sure the reservation is for a larger table.
This is my 3rd time for brunch. 1st and 2nd time were great. 3rd time IS NOT A CHARM. Service was terrible. There was 6 of us. 4 of us got our food and 10 minutes went by before the other food came out. Server did not communicate back up at the bar while we sat for 20 minutes waiting for Mimosas.
My experience dining at Maggiano's was fantastic. Our wait was less than 5 minutes. Our service was superb. The food was delicious. My only issue was the volume of the piped music, it was too loud for my liking. I'm trying to plan my next trip to eat there now.
Horrible service , food and manager. Need to learn customer service skills.
Great service, incredible food along with a nice atmosphere.
Terrible service for a simple order. Took too long to greet us at the table, no water, too long to take and bring order, never checked on us, too long to bring the check.
This was the first time that my daughter and I dined at Maggiano’s. We were very pleased with our meal. The chef even did the fettuccine Alfredo with lobster for my daughter. We both got pasta and were able to enjoy more at home! Now we wish there was one in Augusta where we live! Or even Columbia which is closer than Atlanta or Charlotte!
Our server was great. She was very attentive. We got the 15 minutes before closing on Father’s Day. I know that it had to have been busy. She never acted like it.
Our only complaint was the table next to us. If it wasn’t late, then I would have asked to be moved. Overall, we will definitely come back!
