Maggiano's - Buckhead Ratings and Reviews
I really do miss the "old" original Maggiano's - FULL of diners - LOTS of good food - QUALITY food - a plate of Lemon Cookies with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate.
Yesterday: - 75% vacant at noon lunch time - "small" amounts of food " - Quality of Chicken questionable - Cookies presented in a plastic "to go" container.
The Caesar salad was good and the service was outstanding.
Can't say any more or I'll start crying!!
We arrived about 35 minutes before our reservation. Others came in without a reservation and were seated before us. If I went again I would ask what the wait time is without a reservation if I was there early and not use my reservation time. I can see them taking reservations befor us, but we should have been seated before those without reservations who walked up.
The food was absolutely amazing. I purchased the Prime Ribeye which was the best steak I've ever had. My wife had the Baked Ziti and she loved it. It looked so good, I tasted it myself and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, we will definitely be back, hopefully soon!
Food was great! The young hostess was not very friendly. Our table was 2 round tables pushed together in a very crowded area. We had 4 small children which made it difficult. You are not very accommodating to large groups on a special occasion.(New Years Eve) But our waitress more than made up for all that! Overall good experience
Went here for My Wife's Birthday and after arriving 30 minutes early the night just went down hill from that point? We might as well just walked in instead of reserving because we were treated as walk in customers. The sitting was lobby freezing during our hour wait to be seated. Took food a long time to come out. Waiter continuously forgot about us but remembered after showing up empty handed. We watched several people get a birthday dessert only for. My Wife's Birthday to be forgotten. We got 15 dollars off for all the disaster and a horrible birthday and start to a new year.
Worst part was having to wait for table (even though had reservation, still waited 20 mins). The wait was bad because we had to stand right by the door and it was freezing outside! Every time someone came or went, we got a burst of cold air and were shivering while waiting.
They were behind on reservations by about twenty minutes - which was alright because if you would have had to wait until you arrived, it would have been much longer. Our server was overall superb. However, we had to wait awhile between her asking us what desert we wanted or what to go entree, and bringing us our check which was slightly frustrating. However back of house meal preparation was quicker than expected which was nice.
We were referred to eat here during a mini vacay. We called for either call ahead or a reservation and were told nothing was open. Checked their website and got a 645 seating via open table - glad I checked!
Menu and value is amazing. They were packed and our service didn't have a sense of urgency to either get us in and out and also had 2 kids with us. We didn't see the waiter very much which was fine. Once we needed our check and were ready to go, that took a while.
Recommend for value, casual and menu.
We’ve come here around Christmas time every year and it’s always been great. This year was completely different. Our server was new and he was great and trying really hard but he had absolutely no help. No support from anyone. The food that arrived was good. But several dishes that we ordered never came. And they didn’t bring plates or utensils They said we’ll have them right out. It was freezing cold in the restaurant. We had to keep our coats on & so did all the tables around us. We ordered dessert and about 20 mins later were told they ran out of the ingredients for tiramisu Could we please choose something else. By this time it’s been almost a 3 hour dinner. We said ok we’ll have the cheesecake but asked for it to go. They never brought the cheese cake & one of our entree choices. Don’t know what has happened at this restaurant , but we will never go back.
I've been coming to Maggianos for the last 9 years my wife and I got married there in December of 2008 and have been coming back every year since then on our anniversary, the food, staff, and atmosphere are exceptional and I will be coming back for many years to come.
The Chef Adam Saltzman was AH MAZING. We have a family member with Anaphylaxis and he took our concerns serious, had compassion, and reassured us that he would personally check all ingredients and make the food for our child. We were in tears with the level of concern and care that was taken for our family. The food was awesome and the experience was perfect.
I typically enjoy Maggiano’s however on this trip the dining room was much too cold and actually it was uncomfortable. It was a very cold evening & there was no warmth in the restaurant, several in my party stated the same thing. I ordered the Carbonara pasta dish. It was mediocre and could have definitely used more flavor. I added chicken to the dish in order to add protein to the entree and it had absolutely no seasoning. I was not impressed! The only thing that made the evening a bit more enjoyable was the tiramisu that we ordered for dessert. As usual, it was delicious, however overall I was less than impressed with our visit.
