Maggiano's - Bridgewater Ratings and Reviews
Service was stellar just wasn’t a big fan of how loud it was there, 5 of us were a bit smushed in the seating and would have been good to have a coat check since our bags and coats took up so much room. Food was really good. Like the bruschetta you can pick individually. Brian was our waiter and was awesome and I credibly attentive .
Enjoyed our dinner, server was good... but the restaurant is always so loud!! Love the mushroom ravioli, but the muscles were nothing special ..they add cannelli beans and was lacking flavor beyond the mushy beans... calamari was great -wish the serving was bigger. Pasta carbonara was bland .. can’t believe it was $18!! And didn’t come with a take home meal. The amazing ravioli was only $16 and came with a take home.. that was a great value !!
Arrived late however; they were completely accommodating. The food was excellent and service was equally impressive. They offer family style but we went off the menu and each dish was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for many types of occasions.
Service from the bar was incredibly slow. Stood at the bar for what seemed to be an eternity trying to get a drink, and finally gave up. The bartender never even acknowledged me. For certain there should have been more than one bartender. Finally got to order a drink once we were seated and still waited a half hour to get it. The waiter was very cordial, and attentive. Food was good. I would not recommend this place to anyone based off of the service received by the bar.
Despite having a reservation, there is always a wait to be seated. Regardless, it is worth the wait because the food is made to order (great for food allergies/preferences), the wait staff is friendly despite the chaos of a jam packed restaurant feeding tons of people, and the prices are reasonable. Lots of large groups celebrating birthdays and the various birthday groups were singing for each other, so everyone leaves with a smile!
We have dined here many times to celebrate family birthdays. However, this time I felt somewhat taken advantage of. We ordered an Argentina Wine (bottle) for the table that was $42.50 on the menu and when the check arrived and we were charged $75!!!!! Two of the adults dining with us, are travelling to Argentina and thought it would be fun to taste that wine. We did question the waiter and he said that was what it was. Without making a scene, we paid the check and left. Sorry to say, I will think twice about coming back
Maggiano’s is great. I love this place because for what you pay, the food is great!! My favorite is getting Marcos meal for two. What a deal. Plus the servers are always very friendly, have never had a bad experience here, I’m a regular customer and will continue to be one.
We went there on New Years eve, so I won't complain about the atmosphere or volume inside the dining room. It was a balmy 10 degrees outside, however it was maybe 50 degrees at our table which was wholly unacceptable.
The server told us it's cold because they keep opening and closing the take-away door which was relatively nearby. But that doesn't help the fact that I was freezing! Either stop using that door or stop seating at the tables near it.
In and out in 20 minutes, no drinks, no dessert, no appetizers. I've spent more time dining at McDonalds and if warm, would have enjoyed myself more.
Very good meal and experience, as we expected. Also as we expected, the place was packed and the noise level was tolerable, but occasionally not so much (crying babies / loud adults). The tables were scrunched together pretty tight, but not so you can hear the neighboring table's conversation.
Even for everyday Italian fare, the food quality was really very good, and in one or two cases, exceptional. We ordered the calamari (v good but not memorable), mozzarella sticks (really tasted quite awesome, for such a basic), eggplant parm (v good, would order again), linguini with lobster (v good but not memorable), filet mignon (awesome), linguini with chicken (v good, but not memorable). We ordered prosecco by the glass, which was not the most economical but decent quality. Desserts were decent (sponge cake was terrific, brownies were v good).
Service was attentive and the waiter was terrific, but not as attentive as I would hope for a $250+ meal (group of 4). However it was New Years Eve and the place was packed, so I didn't expect much more.
I've had a few business meals at Maggiano's but this was the first family meal in a long time. The place has held standards up well, and I'd definitely go back, but perhaps not on a night where it's sure to be crowded.
Food was good. Took quite a long time to get our cocktails. Noise level was high which is not unexpected since the place was packed. Biggest issue was that reservation was made for 7 and then it was modified on open table for 8 people. Multiple times this change was made to ensure the change went through, or at least I thought it was. We got there to find that the reservation was still seven. Apparently open table reservations cannot be modified even though adding a guest or making changes is supposedly an option.
The waiter was appealing and gracious, offered attention to special diet needs. Took a little time to get to order. Atmosphere nice but not too quiet where we sat. Should have gotten a booth. They looked over the room slightly. Beautifully decorated for the season. For what is technically a chain restaurant, it is authentic because the chefs are culinary school level. Most important is the food. Sausage appy scrumptious. Calamari light and crispy. Then Mom's lasagna up to par, and Alfredo good, in choice of light or regular. Dessert if you can fit it in, is delicioso. Happy to share a delightful evening with fiance, his daughter and her fiance. Thanks
Several issues during our dining experience.
1. Seated at a table with direct sun (around 4:30 pm) at one of the seats. Was unable to even see the menu. Had to ask to have the blinds at the offending window closed.
2. Meal came with a salad but one was never served.
3. Pasta dish was only slightly warm at serving time.
Previous experiences at this restaurant have been better.
Terrible from check in hostess argued that I didn't have s reservation and incidentally the place was empty
I showed her my phone and she argued with me and told me open table always screws up
The entrance was in the bar area and it had lots of open tables so I asked if we could be seated there she said ok
Didn't take us to a table and no one was waiting she just has a terrible attitude
Once we took a table chris our waitress was very nice
The food is mediocre at best and while we ate there a few years ago we thought it was good
Not worth going back though
I enjoyed the food and my server Manny was excellent. My only complaint was that I booked the reservation for 3 and did not notice the fine print that I needed 4 people for the special lunchtime deal that was offered. When my party arrived we were told that we would be charged for an additional child's plate since there was only 3 of us. Again if that's the policy it should have been easy to see during the reservation phase.
