Great food! The booth was a little cramped for three big people and it made it difficult for quiet conversation because the people sitting on each end had difficulty hearing each other without speaking loudly. The restaurant was very busy and it didn't look like any opportunity to request a table instead of a booth.
Really enjoyed my first time there. The baked rigatoni pomodoro was delicious. The tiramasu was rich and creamy. I will definitely return.
This was our first visit to Maggiano's, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Friendly and festive atmosphere. Staff was helpful and efficient. Food was great! Cannot wait to return.
Had a great dinner before going to theater.
MY NEW FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We came on a day when the Nutcracker was playing in Boston and that was a mistake. I wish we had realized it because the service was extremely slow and unreliable. We ordered the family-style, and when we asked for seconds, it never came. Our drinks weren't refilled. It took over an hour and a half before we saw our main course, and our kids were done by then!! Great food, but something was truly off about the service. Wasn't our usual Maggianos experience.
As always food and service was excellent.
Dinner was fabulous! 1 entree has enough food to feed 2 people. Unfortunately, we dont get up to Boston as much as we would like. Whenever we take in a show our first call is to Maggianos for reservations! Our favorite restraurant for the whole family!
We went here before the Rockettes show. It was quite crowded and very loud but our service was good. I wouldnt recommend this for a good quiet date spot, very energetic. Food was good, not great but overall we did enjoy ourselves and would go back.
Excellent dining experience. Tabitha, our server, deserved 5 stars for wonderful service. The food, all courses, was presented so well and tasted even better! Such great ambiance...servers and other staff really seem to enjoy their jobs! Don't miss out on a fantastic dining experience!
The service was very slow that night. It took 1 hour for our main course to come out.
Excellent service, my group of four (minimum needed for family meal) managed to be seated ahead of our reservation time.
We ordered from the family plan, loads and loads of food for $29 a person. A little pricey but if you do it right you end up with enough food to last you for another few meals made of leftovers, so very worth it in the end. The time between servings was at times a little wide, but considering the amount of food you get, it is perfectly timed to let you get comfortable with your filling stomach. The Calamari was fantastic and the Tiramisu was perfect. I fully recommend coming with at least four in order to take advantage of the family meal system (on the last page of the menu).
Family style was great!!! Service was slow and our waitress forgot our drinks and other small requests. Seating is close and can be extremely loud. It was average. Family style is suppose to be endless and when we asked for more salad we got a side portion...
Both food and service were phenomenal.
Maggiano's is good for a group, but be prepared for frenetic servers and long waits for water, drinks and any 'luxuries' like silverware and napkins. Then, hang onto your hats because once the food DOES start coming, the servers rush you....until they abandon you again and you have to chase them down to pay the check.
Thankfully we had lunch reservations for a busy Saturday and were seated right away. However, the service was very slow and waited almost an hour for our bread and salad to arrive after many reminders.
The waitress provided us with the details of the family style plan but didn't give us enough time to enjoy what we ordered. We ordered our dessert to go.
Seated promptly by couteous maitre'd.Food was good, servive was ok on a busy Friday night. Overall good value.
We had a wonderful family dinner at Maggiano's. We loved the circular booth, loved the atmosphere. It was lively, friendly, and the service was great. We are already planning another trip to Boston and Maggiano's. We tried to get into the restaurant after the show we went to, but couldn't get in. We'll be back though.
Food was good. But it's VERY loud and a bit overwhelming.
Food was good servicr was bad. Dinners served at
It took over an hour for our meal to come out. The 3 adult meals were served before the 5 kids meals. I left 90 minutes to eat and get to the Rockettes, but we had to eat in 5 minutes. At first I was nice, but then I resorted to yelling at the server when I noticed other tables getting their food even after I had complained. I told the server in the beginning that he was making me nervous about the evening because he botched one of two wine orders and brought the kids drinks out one at a time. The experience horrible. I have never ever not left a tip until tonight, and I have never ever yelled at waitstaff. Lastly, I was embarrassed in front of my sister because I had planned the evening.
Overall Maggiano's was ok. Nothing bad. Nothing good. Just ok. Service was slightly behind on everything and felt rushed. Food was ok tasting. All in all if you have a big group and need a space for ppl this works at decent price (it was only 2 of us i just noticed many groups)
Great night out! Dinner with friends to celebrate the holidays. Restaurant and area were festively decorated. The food and service was good. No one rushed us but they were attentive to our needs. We did family style and the options were plentiful and all our choices proved to be excellent.
We love Maggianos! Unfortunately, we live in the lakes region of NH so we don't get there often enough. Great atmosphere, Great prices, Great service....
I brought my wife there for her birthday (her favorite place)
She likes it better than the North End! We like the location and always take in a show while visiting.
A wonderful experience. Great food. Loved everything!
Wonderful Boston dining experience. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Nothing like the North End restaurants..portions way too large. Steak was less than inspiring and pasta dishes were average.
Also Open Table on-line service did not allow one to change number of people in the party.
Another great time at Maggiano's. It was very busy, so the server was stretched way farther than he should have been, but it was still great!
We had a wonderful lunch with our 85 year old mother after a show at the wang. Food was fantastic. Restaurant was decorated nicely for the holiday. We will definately go back.
Un resto surpeuplé, mais qui a donc bonne presse.
Malgré beaucoup de monde, notre table était prête à l'heure réservée.
Grande salle, donc assez bruyante.
Carte très large, très bons plats, très copieux.
Service sympathique et souriant.
Un très bon italien, pas cher et bon !
I travel to Boston once a year and have been eating at Maggiano's each time I get there. An absolute must!!!!
Food was pretty good portion and tasty.
I do enjoy an occasional Maggianos run....I like their Gnocchi and their cheesecake is almost like a mousse...yum
My 17 year old son made the suggestion of going to Maggiano's and we are so glad that he did. Not only were we treated like VIPs the moment we walked into the place but the one thing you go to a restaurant for, The FOOD, was stellar. My wife had the pasta bolognese, I had the rigatoni "D", my son had the chicken and spinach manicotti and my daughter had the chicken parm. We all loved our food and shared it with each other so we have an idea of what we may want to try the next time we go. And we will go, again! Our appetizers of mussels and calamari were equally scrumptious--not to mention the large portions.
Great pre-theatre service. Very accommodating if you wish slower service to enjoy a relaxing meal. Never rushed
My girlfriend and I took our parents for their Christmas gift. Perfect as always. I will continue to go to Maggiano's as often as I do.
Food was all very good, and portions were very large, all for quite reasonable prices. Making a reservation online was extremely easy. We were seated promptly (probably a fair wait if you don't make a reservation - it's a popular place!). Service was prompt and polite. Its a huge restaurant with a warm atmosphere. It has more of a family/group vibe than romantic/intimate one, but the restaurant can work for both situations.
If you're looking for an extremely authentic Italian dining experience, you'll have better luck in the North End. If it's all the same to you, I definitely recommend this place!
The food was good, the service was excellent. But the noise level was way too loud. And the tables are crammed in.
The menu at this fantastic Italian restaurant is astounding -- you will definitely have a hard time choosing! The lunch menu portion sizes are just fine, however the dinner portions are most generous -- and they are also most generous with their Maggiano's take-home containers. In fact they do a large take-out business as well, and there are Maggiano's all across the US...yet you would never know that they are a "chain." More, I think that they are known for incredibly good food, and also for consistency, regardless of location. We have eaten in the Orlando location as well and could not detect any difference from the great meal that we had in Boston, even with same menu items selected. Bruschetta is like none other, and all food great!
This was my third visit , consistently outstanding. My only complaint is $17.00 charge to valet park for 1-1 1/2 hrs seems excessive to me.
