Maggiano's - Boston
Book your next event with us
Need to book at 9:00 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Very good Italian, minimal wait w reservation, reasonable pricing, good service, would return!
I like Maggiano’s! However, I asked for a table by a window and we were seated in a small dining room. Wish we were in larger dining room as I like the atmosphere there but felt the host put us in the small room for whatever reason!! We felt rushed by the waiter which took away from the experience! As always- food was delicious.
We made a reservation for two and we were put right in front of the kitchen door. I saw everything going on in kitchen. Would have preferred looking out over guest instead of the back of the house.
Maggiano remains a favorite restaurant...always a welcome...great food and service....a pleasure
to eat there...
Awesome eve! My friend & I took our daughters before a show. We were late for our reservation and they still accommodated us, with no issue at all. The food was delicious. The waiter was great!!
Food was fairly good but shrimp was overcooked
The food was very good, and the portions were large.
Great place and quick service. Food was excellent.
The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night, so I was glad I mad reservations. The food was pretty good I loved having all
The different variations of pasta. We were a little disappointed that there were not any cannolis, but they had a ton of other really good desserts. The only, slight downfall was the preparedness. We had to ask for several things (an extra menu, drink menu, refills for condiments on the table.). Overall good experience, and I would definitely go back.
Family Style is a great option to have! Wow!
I made a reservation at 7:30 for a booth.
I was seated at 8:15 at a regular table.
Everything took entirely too long.
My food was cold
But the server was so helpful and sweet.
The food and the wait staff were great. Our server was Mike.
Always nice and food has always been excellent!
Having been to Maggiano's in the past I was very much looking forward to our reservation. We were taken right on time and seated. The waiter seemed to be rushing us to order, it took quite some time for our drink order to come. The waiter highly recommended the Stuffed Shell dinner special, it was under cooked and My Mother sent it back (felt like the staff did not believe that it was not prepared correctly) she order pasta with meat sauce instead (which she was charged, not classy) waited for that and it was hard, not cooked enough (not el dente). My meal was a fish and pasta dish which was jam packed with mussels, took forever to take all of the clams out of the dish. Ordered a second glass of wine which they forgot to bring, brought it when I reminded them (20 minutes later) did not charge me for it. All in all a very disappointing experience.
Menu change is great with lower caloric options. However, prices have increased dramatically.
We did the theater package that included Maggianos .\
The food was fabulous. It was crowded that night which is not a bad thing so it was noisy however you cannot beat Maggianos.
Food was sub par and the wine list was disappointing. Beautiful restaurant and great service - fairly affordable but wouldn’t go back probably.
Went for a dinner package and cats play with Boston opera house. The dinner was fabulous. Waiter was personable and the staff appeared to work together! We had a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend to others.
Went for mother’s birthday, Amazing staff and food!
Loud and crowded... the food was barely palatable. Server was very good though!
Our waitress was awesome for our table of 15. The place was sooo busy for a sat night. The manager stepped up and filled our waters and fixed our drink order.... but after that she was efficient and gave us all separate checks.
Food was great per usual but the service was awful. I believe we had a server name Nicole and a gentleman with a bun. Neither of them introduced themselves when they approached the table. They were both very dry careless about serving us. I myself have waited tables for years and I am now a hospitality manager. This is not the type of service I expect when I go out to eat. Especially on slow brunch day. They were super pushy and had a bad attitude the entire time. We asked for another round of mimosa after we finished eating then the waitress dropped the check without even asking us if we were all set. After clearing out the table, another server stopped by to take our glasses from the table trying to push out. Why am I being rushed out of a restaurant at 2PM on a slow day? Oh, did I mention she dropped the check without a simple “thank you, have a nice day”. Ridiculous! My friend and I tipped 20% but not because either one of them deserved it.
The weight service was outstanding but at 11 o’clock they were only six of us in the restaurant so it felt kind of empty. I asked for eggs Benedict with the sauce on the side and I got eggs Benedict covered in sauce with sausages?? My companion wanted to eggs potatoes and bacon so she was told to order the three meat breakfast even though she didn’t want the ham and she didn’t want the sausagesAnd was charged for that! The coffee one ordered came with my milk already in it as opposed to allowing me to add as much as I wanted. This resulted in cold coffee. The waitress was wonderful attentive tried to correct all the errors from the kitchen. She was apologetic and was the only thing that saved the entire meal. I say this not to complain because I reallyEnjoy coming to this restaurant and would like to continue into the future. But I fear if your service goes down that you will lose business and I will lose one of my favorite places to go.
The food was absolutely delicious - especially the calamari. Food portion was just right. The staff was friendly and our waiter was great. We will definitely go back.
Everything was great!!
Good experience with great service
Poor service with mediocre food.
It took a bit to be greeted by a hostess, but as soon as we were she honored our reservation and seated us even though we were a little early. Service was slow, we spent a total of 2 hours all said and done; however it was New Year’s Day and we were there during an off time so staff was not as plentiful. Our waiter was great and he was really hustling a number of tables in different sections. We always had what we needed when we wanted it. Food was fantastic.
As we entered the establishment the first person we met was Lee, the bartender. He was very professional, made us feel welcome, and started our first visit here on a very positive and pleasant note. Although I did not get the name of our female maître d’, I did ask for a table by the window and she was very accommodating. Our dinner was excellent our waiter was Bobby he was very attentive. As we left the establishment well fortified with a great meal and liquid libations, Lee gave a pleasant wave and smile and a warm invitation to come back again sometime soon. Very pleasant experience, and I think we will be taking Lee up on his offer to return again soon.
Food is good, service was really lacking. 2 servers kept coming by but never brought drink refills or came back after food is brought by runners.
Great NYE dinner, food and services were excellent. We were able to enjoy our dinner without feeling rushed.
Every time we go, this place gets better. Most recently we went to Maggiano’s Boston for New Years Eve Dinner with a group of 10 people. The service was outstanding, the food was outstanding and there was more than enough to bring home at the end of the night.
It was NYE 2019 and the place wasn’t at full capacity—The table was crowded by many other tables around it and the noise factor was high —-The waiter seemed uninterested in being a great waiter —He was not engaging or friendly—He did his job, at best, —There was no extras with this young man —-The filet was overcooked and so so salty —I was shocked but we had plans after dinner so I just stayed quiet and ate My 33$ well done filet—The asaragus wasn’t cooked enough —Out party of 6, mutually agreed never to come back to this average restaurant again —
We arrived as a party of 14. The floor around our table was filthy from previous guests. There was also a dirty glass left on our table. The table was set for 14 but there were not enough chairs. The service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. While it was NYE, Maggiano’s has big parties and a full dining room all the time. It wasn’t until I was half way finished with my sangria that I noticed my glass was cracked! My daughter had to send her food back and rather than give her a new piece of chicken, they scraped mashed potatoes off the plate and gave her the same piece again. Gross. On my way out, I heard two servers complaining that sales were good but tips were way down. Keep that for the break room. It was definitely an off night at Maggiano’s.
Train the wait staff much better. E
All staff were enthusiastic and very nice, really below even moderate standards in some regards.
