Always a great meal/experience
Well, I had just had some surgery on my forearm at Brighams Womans and really wanted to eat out and see some lights. We had been to Maggiano's a few years ago and was anxious to go back. Loved being there! The food, Veal Piccata and Shrimp Scampi were the best ever!
Always love going to Maggiano's during the holidays. Very festive and happy vibe. Food excellent as usual. Cordial wait staff. All good.
Enjoyed the food and was a good value.
Service was ok as dinning room layout made it difficult for servers. We will be back, but will hope for better layout thus better service.
Everything was great. The atmosphere was so cheery for the holidays. Went with 4 children under age 6- great food choices for them and quick service. We will be back!
I had a great birthday dinner. Thank you!
Family get together, food is good and waited for few minutes for the table
Great service! We arrived a little late but the restaurant was able to sit us quickly!
I love Italian food. Maggiano's is a great place for lots of traditional comfort food dishes. The upside to Maggiano's is their food. It's fabulous. I'd recommend fasting beforehand because there's no discipline when you're there. My 15 year old son ordered a traditional spaghetti and meatballs (actually, one large meatball) and he made it disappear. I ordered the linguini and clams and it was heaven. All after the fried calamari - which was crispy brown and delish.
On the other hand, the restaurant is big. Huge. It feels like a factory for dishing out great Italian dishes. The waiters seem overwhelmed and the noise level is high. We waited forever for the check.
All that said, I'd definitely go back again. Sooner if they put the stuffed artichoke back on the menu.
Good experience. No other comment
The food was excellent, especially the Salmon Oscar! Our Open Table reservation was honored quickly, despite a large crowd of patrons waiting. All staff members were friendly. Unfortunately our server was quite challenged. Extra place settings were never removed from our table. We had to pile our used appetizer and then salad dishes in a corner of the table. Another server saw them and removed them. We had allowed two hours for dinner, but service was so slow we didn’t have time for dessert/coffee. That being said, once our order was placed, our appetizer, salads and entrees were delivered by the kitchen in a timely fashion. The environment was warm and welcoming, but it was very loud. Children were allowed to run around between tables. There were numerous tables of large, loud parties. It’s not a place for a romantic date. But it’s a great place for a loud, family style experience.
Great food as always!!!
Service and food was great! Table location and our chairs in the lane of servers not great.
We came for lunch after taking my children and nephew to see Rudolph. There were 4 adults and 3 kids (8,6,5). Waiter was very pleasant, but everything took an incredibly long time. We have 11:45 reservations and didn’t get out until 1:45 and we took dessert to go. The restaurant was not busy - though there was at least one function downstairs. The food wasn’t the quality I’m used to from Maggiano’s and the length of the meal was just too long for lunch with 3 kids. Had we stayed for dessert we’d have been well over 2 hours. Had this been my only experience with Maggiano’s I’d not be very willing to come back and spend the money that we did for that experience.
A fun family friendly restaurant to go to before a show. Since it was December, it was also decked out in Holiday Decorations. The atmosphere was fun and friendly. Our server seemed a bit overwhelmed , but was still friendly and relatively attentive. We would definitely return.
A nice dinner before the theater. Always great with theater patrons, getting us in and out without feeling rushed.
Had a wonderful time, my family & I enjoy visiting Maggianos! We were treated wonderfully from everyone including Steven & Greg! Thank you Ellen Mitchell
Been here a couple times before Nutcracker ballet Boston. This time service was extremely slow even though our reservation was for 5:15. We barely made it to the show on time.
Had a blast, kid friendly, good wine.
The service and food were fantastic!
We always enjoy Maggiano's. The atmoshpere is friendly and the service is attentive. We tried some new specials that were delicious (seafood fondue appetizer) Portions are large. The fra diavlo was not very spicy so we added some crushed red pepper. Wine selection was good, but sangria could have had a little more wine and less juice, but still flavorful. Highly recommend Maggiano's for consistent good food and service.
It was my son’s birthday. He thoroughly enjoyed it!
waitress was the BEST and food servers were outstanding. Food was served hot and wasvery good
Our server was amazing....polite, attentive, quick, prompt. The food was delicious as always. The wait time was mininum. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated. I chose to celebrate my birthday here and it was the perfect choice!
Although the food was very good, the portions were significantly smaller than in the past, and at the prices charged they are no longer a good value. The service was abominable! The waiter wandered away after only taking the order for half of our party, then food arrived in dribs and drabs delivered by people who had no idea who had ordered what. Two members of our party wound up waiting at least 20 minutes to receive their food after everyone else has been served. The food does still taste good though
We went for a family dinner while kids were home for the holiday. Food was delicious. Skeptical on the family-style menu, but it turned out great! We tried some news dishes, and the old faithful, chicken parm, never disappoints. Lots of hustle and bustle, large parties and small. I like the noise, I know we can talk and have a good laugh, without feeling inappropriate. All the staff that we came in contact with were helpful, friendly, and even though some only spoke Italian, they all made our family dinner a great one!
We had a great experience. The food is delicious, of course, but the staff is outstanding. They treat you like family. This was the first place we ate on our first trip to Boston, and we have to return on every visit.
Fantastic as always! Great food, service and ambiance!
Decorated nicely for the holidays
We married and had an intimate reception at Maggiano’s two years ago. We enjoy the food and ambience. A sweet reminder of our love.
I like Maggianos and never went there for brunch before. I can say that my french toast was amazing! My coffee was very bitter and I asked for a fresh cup which was much better. Also, I made reservations for 10:30 am and the door posted hours starting at 11:00 am so it was confusing and we were their first customers. The music was lovely- Frank Sinatra and beautiful decorations for Christmas. My only concern was that the hostess was a bit aloof, but our waiter was very friendly and courteous!
Always consistent and not expensive, this is a great place to go with a large group. That being said, it can get noisy and a bit on the chaotic side. This is not a great place for intimate conversation. The food is good and plentiful (again, both a good thing and a bad thing). Order wisely! The portions are enormous. Sharing is a great idea. Love the bread. Love the appetizer options. The wine is great and again, reasonably priced.
We WILL go back. We always do.
Authentic Italian dining at a very reasonable price. A broad menu to satisfy every member of our family. Staff was friendly and attentive, the food excellent and the atmosphere very relaxing. The dining area is quite elegant and the historical building is very interesting.
We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and we had a very relaxing time. Our waiter was wonderful too. Very sweet and attentive.
This was our first Thanksgiving at Maggiano’s. The staff, food and ambiance was great.
We always enjoy our time here! We have made it a tradition to have thanksgiving here when we are not with family. Food is excellent and worth every penny as we always have leftovers!
Dined out on Thanksgiving for the first time, and it was a great experience. The food, portions, and service were all great.
We decided to try doing something different for Thanksgiving this year and made reservations at Maggiano's. We have eaten here before and always loved the food. We were given several options to choose from and everything we chose was delicious! The staff were all wonderful and not having to cook or clean up after a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner was a huge bonus!
