Maggiano's - Boston
Book your next event with us
Able to accommodate a large group food was acceptable although to exceptional. Tables packed so closely that the servers hit your chair frequently.
Fantastic Restaurant, Excellent service!! We all loved everything, our meals, our desserts and our server!! Highly recommend! Will be back next year!
Justin was great, personable and knowledgeable without being in our face. I ordered shrimp scampi and was surprised the shrimp were small. Lots of little shrimp. How about jumbo shrimp? Just a thought. Overall we loved the experience and will be back!
Silver Tie Servers
Staff was surly, host was ill-equipped to handle his job. Waited 50 minutes to be seated from an 815 open table reservation. This problem wasn’t acknowledged by management. I’ve been to 4 other maggianos in 3 states and this experience was unacceptable.
Wait time was long with a reservation.
Lobby was crowded and uncomfortable.
Food was mediocre-eggplant Parma was mush.
Great food for our special occasion. Always choose Maggiano’s for celebrations as we know it will be special.
Food was great
Service was awful !!!
The food was delicious, the ambiance was energetic, I would recommend Maggiano's for big groups.
We had to send 3 things back. A meal and a side twice. They weren’t what we ordered. The waiter didn’t come around much. Even though we had a bad experience they didn’t try and make up for it at all, not even a free dessert or drink. I won’t go back.
The restaurant was huge which helped you feel like you had plenty of space but still felt comfortable and cozy. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the food and drinks were amazing !
I have eaten here before and the food is always good. We were coming from my son’s commencement in RI and the traffic was terrible. We were late but the staff was very nice and accommodating.
Great service, excellent food and friendly servers! Really enjoyed our experience at this wonderful spot!
AMAZING! Coming back often
Birthday celebration for a friend and then on to the theater. Incredible food, customer service and great value!
2/9 orders were messed up but everything else was perfect!
Birthday First time to Boston
I love Maggiano's and am hoping Friday was just an off night - it happens. First the great - service at the bar - even with a new person in training was excellent. Friendly, efficient and honestly two of the most delicious cocktails I've had in a long time. We ordered apps - the fried zucchini was an A+++++ - i wish i could eat it every day. My friend ordered the caprese app - they brought her a large salad but realized the mistake right away and corrected it. They said we could eat the salad anyway but we didn't because we were going to be seated for dinner. They took the salad off the bill and listed it as goodwill - which sort of irked me as it was their mistake and we didn't eat any of it - but whatever. We were then seated for dinner. Waiter was not attentive - and they brought the wrong meal to my friend - again. Took us a long time to flag the waiter down to tell him. had to ask for bread and water refills - he never asked if we wanted new cocktails when ours were empty. My manicotti was super salty - and i love salt so for others it could have been inedible - it was darn close for me. Overall if it had been my first time i wouldn't go back - but am just hoping it was an off night. We sat at 6 - wasn't that busy but they did have a big function downstairs at the time.
Steven Melo and the staff at Maggiano’s we’re great !! Food was delicious and they were very timely with their service since we were in a rush to make it to a show.
Comfortable seating in a clean and stylish restaurant. Just the right amount of options in food and drink. Prompt service and timing for each course. Warm bread, flavorful food (scampi, lasagna, mushroom ravioli and fettuccini) and wonderful desserts.
It was Mother's Day. The first appetizer was the Mozarella it came out cold, as if it had been sitting on a counter, and then they poured warm marinara over it. My second appetizer, fried calamari, came out 40 minutes later. I asked for it extra crispy. However, it cane out extremely rubbery, soggy and slime. The crust was sliding off. Then the meal. I got the Chicken Francese. It was luke warm. I opted for the hand cut fettuccine instead of the potatoes. The butter or cheese in the pasta was so cold it was hard paste.i was so dissatifies and disappointed that i picked Maggianos to eat.
We always have a good meal at Maggiano’s. My wife loves their gluten free pasta.
The food was terrific, and the atmosphere was great fun - it was Mother's Day, so a very good people-watching opportunity!
But I want to tell you about the service, which was beyond excellent. The waitress was attentive, professional, accommodating. A vegetarian member of our party ordered a pasta dish with sauce, without realizing the sauce would have meat in it. As soon as we asked our waitress, she swiftly swept it away and brought a replacement dish without meat. She made it very clear that her main concern was that we were happy and enjoyed our meal. The manager also came over to apologize for the meat sauce (which was obviously not their fault!) and assured us the replacement meal would be out soon.
In addition, we had theatre tickets and realized on our way to the restaurant that we needed to have them printed out rather than just available on our phones. Maggione's front desk staff and their manager went far above and beyond to help us out. We emailed the tickets to the manager; she ran to the office and printed them; then printed them all again when it turned out the barcodes didn't show up on the first printing. We appreciate everything they did to make us feel welcome and cared for, and never made us feel like we were being a bother (which we definitely were!). The entire staff was wonderful!!
As much as we enjoyed our meal and service, tables were crammed in and on top of each other. Tough to sit and be comfortable. While I understand it was a holiday and they needed to accommodate, it just was not a very comfortable experience. Food was great (we did family style), we were never rushed and constantly checked on. We will return again.
The food is outstanding! I’ve been to Maggiano’s in both Boston and Philadelphia and have not had a meal that hasn’t been rated with 5 stars! Friends and I, most often, order different entrees and salads and we are always more than happy with our meals!
Food was excellent, the staff was great. This place feeds you well. We loved everything.
We went for our annual mother's day brunch. AGAIN, the waitress (Maggie) did not provide the brunch menu. AGAIN we we're only provided with the family style dinner menu. AT 10:00 a.m.!! We had to ask for the brunch menu which had breakfast items. Seriously? Why do they do this to us every year? Oh! Family style dinner menu costs more=bigger tips. RUDE!!! The food was great as usual but this is our last year being treated so rudely.
We had reservations and were fasting, so still having to wait another 30 minutes was a little frustrating but besides that the food and waiter we had was amazing.
Staff was very nice. Food was good. Volume was high.
This place has the best service and the best Italian food. Everyone here is so attentive. They call to confirm on the day if you are running late so they won't give up your table. We had family style and the food kept coming. Wonderful experience and unforgettable.
It was good like I said.
food was wicked good!! Service was also very good and the bread and wine we great as well.
Food was good, not great. Found it to be everpriced and the service was well below par. Had to wait for everything....a bit rude when we asked for something...like a bread plate.
Two of our group ordered the Lighter Fare option which had generous portions. Service was quick for a Friday night. Food was delicious and very filling! Definitely would recommend!
Food abundantly served, nice service, food delicious. All good
If you are looking for italian comfort food delicious in taste for a group event then this is the place. Not a gourmet restaurant but has all the classic dishes and well done! Ambiance is old world charm.
We had a great dining experience. The server was very attentive and the food was outstanding. We were in Boston to go to the theatre and wanted a restaurant that had an extensive menu, reasonable prices and would get us through within our timeframe. Maggiano’s certainly fit the bill!
I went there for my husband's birthday, invited his family and mine. We drove in from RI. Our server, Chris, made the experience unpleasant and uncomfortable. He seemed to be having a bad day, and it showed while he served us. On numerous occasions, we had to remind him about our drinks, or fix an order he made a mistake on. At the end, he gave people their checks, and I was still waiting for them to sing happy birthday to my husband. When I kindly reminded him, he eventually brought it out, and handed me the check. He gave everyone their checks before serving my husband the dessert. He made our experience very awkward.
Was so happy they could accommodate our party of 10...at a round table too! Our waiter Tom was very nice and attentive even when we couldn't all decide at once if we wanted wine or not...sorry for all the extra trips for wine glasses Tom! Ha! Food was delicious and portions we're good size...some left with take out bags.
food was only warm and overdone. Had to send one meal back because it was cold. veal was overcooked and dry
