Below is the review I sent to Maggiano's:
We had a reservation and were greeted immediately and waited a few minutes that was fine. After that point was when the issues happened.
The waiter passed behind me and bumped into me not intentional but he continued down the aisle and eventually came back to apologize.
At this point it took several minutes to come back and take our drink order. When my wife inquired on the house wines his response was we have various. My wife did not order wine. At this point we should have walked but we have eaten several times before in California, Pennsylvania and at this location various times before.
To continue on the service was slow. The waiter was more interested in socializing at other tables and he did not return to ask about our meal until we were done, if we needed anything or had a problem he was not interested.
We spent an extraordinary amount of time at the restaurant normally not a problem but we were really getting annoyed.
One annoying thing that happened last evening as well as at other restaurants please clear plates from the prior course before you bring the next.
Food was just ok but service very good. The pasta with shrimp and chicken was awful. Very Olive Garden level of Italian food. Was disappointed. Had a gift card and it was still very expensive for the quality.
Food was good just a little too salty. I ordered wine and was served a different wine then what I ordered.
overall very good, would return, very noisy, but then it was quite full
service could have been a bit better, but no real complaints, would return to try other items
Great service, large menu choices, good wine list, great value, food came out hot and to order. Perfect, Manager stopped by to check on our food and service. A must go to restaurant.
Good place to meet friends. Noise level can be high with big groups sitting in the open dining room. They pack them in so go early!
Overall a heat experience
Service bad food cold. Wont come back not worth trip
Everything was delicious. We ordered pasta dishes with the option to take one home. Had a great, easy meal the next night too. Maggiano's also has the best fried zucchini on the planet!
In the past service has sometimes been spotty but this time it was perfect. The server never missed a beat. We enjoyed our evening there immensely.
Quality of dinner was good, Service was terrible. We couldn't get the waiter to take our checks for 20 -30 minutes
The buy one take one was a pleasant surprise. Also, my daughter's birthday cookies were a surprise. I will definitely return for the family style dinner! Loved the attention by the staff. Moving to boca soon and we will certainly be regulars.
First off, the food and drinks were great! BUT, the restaurant had a terrible smell to it, it smelled like mildew, it was very disappointing and hard to get past. I thought it was just me, but the other 5 dinners that I was with also were taken back by it as was the table next to us.
Always exquisite! No matter where we go we try to find a Maggiano’s to go eat at. Never lets us down.
It was a rainy Saturday night and was pretty crowded. We had reservations and were seated at that time. Live piano music was being played in the lounge which you could hear throughout the restaurant. Service was excellent as was the food. Waiter brought me lemon cookies with a candle in it for my birthday!
Good food, great selection, reasonable, would definitely go again when in the neighborhood
Festive atmosphere . Varied menu. All dishes were nicely plated however the mussels had shards of shells throughout . Although very tasty the shards detracted from the dish. The chef came to the table at the request of the waiter and was apologetic .
A mixed seafood platter also had shards of mussels imbedded in the clams. Tasty but dangerous . The shrimp diablo were very good . So was the service.
A step below Olive Garden as far.............as the food that I ordered..........
I enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere was excellent.
Like usual food was great, and ambiance very good,(music),the only negative was That they brought us our main meal much to fast,we had half of our appétizer eaten when the main course arrived.Beside that the evening ,,,,short was fine .
The food was fair at best. The restaurant was packed and the tables were practically on top of each other.
A fun place to share an Italian meal with friends. Happy Hour is nice but the dinner is far better. We enjoyed the calamari and the main course was chicken marsala and chicken francaise. Also ordered the linguine with clams ( need more clams). Flavor was good but dinner portion should have more clams. Afterwards tried to think about dessert but we just didn't as we were drinking more wine than dining on the food.
Great place, great value
Everything was great except for having a party of 12 adults stuffed into a table that normally seats 8. I guess that’s why they call it ‘family style’
Excellent choices, great freebie on the lasagna.
Great food & great service, are server was Barry & he was excellent.
Our server was EXCELLENT!!!
Excellent Italian food
The food and service was good as it has always been. We have never been disappointed going there either with the food or service that we receive! Our waiter or waitress is always very attentive to us and makes sure we are well taken care of. We have never had an issue or complaint in any of our visits!!
Our server was very professional and nice. He had a long beard which I don’t particularly care for in the food industry when I am being served food. The manager was very nice as well. The pianist was great and we enjoyed the music. The food was fair at best. I don’t see us going there again. We live in Boynton Beach and there are far better Italian restaurants closer to us.
Very tasty , very authentic Italian food and when requesting the pasta to be al dents, that’s exactly how is was made.
Never disappointed! Service was outstanding, we had the snapper special, very delicious!
Barry was great
Their Caesar Salad is crisp, garlicky , and so good. There eat one take one home pasta deal at $14.95 is terrific. Eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti with giant meatball etc. are terrific.
The free birthday lemon cookies are way too sweet and spongy. Too bad to end our dinner on that note.
Food is consistently decent and portions are large. Good value. Was very loud though and made it difficult to hear people across the table.
It's hard to fault the overall service at Maggianos although their wine prices are getting ridiculous. $15 for a 9oz Sauvignon Blanc. Come on! No wonder the place was half empty and just about everyone had left by 9:15. Food served in generous portions on a hot plate but no avacado evident in the chopped salad , had to ask waiter to supply. Gets busier at the weekend.
Had not been there in a long time and I thought the food was better and so was the selections.
My husband and I are snowbirds and stay in Boca Raton for two weeks each winter. We eat at Maggiano’s every time we come down. We love their pasta dishes and their salads are outstanding. The ambience is relaxing and pleasant and we are always treated in such a friendly manner, we never feel rushed. We still can’t believe they offer a wide assortment of delicious pasta dinners to take home (if you purchase one dinner, they give you another to take with you). I get out of cooking for another night! They have a nice wine list and an extensive assortment of beer, too. We’ve recommended Maggiano’s to many others.
Enjoyed the food and the round table.....convivial atmosphere.
Had a reservation for 730 got there they handed us a beeper we had to wait 45 minutes for a table I said to the girl I thought if you had a reservation we had a table she said people arent leaving and we are overwhelmed with the crowd. Why make a reservation when they were taking people off the street?
