Extensive menu, food was good, service was efficient and gracious. Chef came out to chat for a few minutes. Nice place to grab a bite after work or pick up a take out on the way home. Parking is limited.
Try the Yum steak salad, pad Thai, all chicken dinners, calamari, and don't forget all homemade deserts. All food fresh daily ,highly recommend.Service with a smile, but it does get busy-great place for Lunch/early,late night dinner!
The owner Lou went out of his way to talk with us and made us feel so welcome! Food wad great...well worth the Drive to Revere
I've been to Maekha plenty of times before and too tell you the truth I only come back because the owner is super friendly and the food is good as well. If I let my emotion get the best of me because the female server was a rude B word I'd never come back. The female server has always been there since opening so I'm assuming she's family but if she's not YOUR server she won't even acknowledge that you exist in the restaurant and if you ask her for anything she would slam drinks and roll her eyes. I am a foodie and I eat out literally 6 days a week so I understand that the server doesn't necessary represent the restaurant although they should. The owner however is very accommodating and friendly which is probably the only reason anyone comes back. I'm going to wait a while before I come back but if the same server is still there and still hates life then I won't come back.
Delicious cuisine & friendly staff
This place is so wonderful! The food, the service, the ambiance. Great authentic Thai restaurant. I bring everyone who comes to town to visit here, and they say the same thing. The Crab Ran goons are amazing. I would go out of my way to come to this place. Lucky for me its only about 15 min away! If you are thinking about going here. Stop thinking and just go. Seriously...what are you waiting for!?
We went on Valentines Day in the midst of the 2015 blizzard. The food was incrdible and the owner engaged us in interesting conversation. Authentic Thai in Revere is a special find.
We came here for my aunt's 50th birthday. Owner, Chef Lou was great! He stopled by several times to chat and make sure we were happy with our meals. He even had an order of fried ice cream brought out on the house for my aunt. His staff is very attentive and the food is out of this world! Such a great gem in Revere. I frequent this establishment quite a bit and when I can't venture out to it I order delivery. The first time I had ate Maekha Thai was for my wedding anniversary. I had it delivered to the house and it was prompt, the delivery man was friendly, and the food was the best I had ever eaten. The food from Maekha Thai really made our wedding anniversary spectacular! The food is always fresh and the flavor is so authentic. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
Not many Thai places in the area. So to have one and have one that has GREAT food and has great prices is a great thing. Get there if you want a good meal for a good price.
Maekha Thai has great food (scallion pancakes and wings are awesome!), great abience, and a proud owner to match. Chef Lou was friendly, inviting and had a great sense of humor. He truly loves what he does and making his customers happy. On the contrary, the waitress and hostess were a bit too serious and not as personable. Other than that, the food was good, the experience was great and I will definitely be back.
The hospitaly was great, the food fantastic and the service was perfect.
This restaurant is a hidden treasure ,thanks you chef Lou for a great experience!
A really good Thai restaurant on Squire Road in Revere? Who woulda thought?! Definitely not much from the outside, but open the door, and you're in a comfortable, serene Thai restaurant with good service and made to order Thai dishes. We had the Pad Thai with Shrimp and the Spicy Thai Basil Chicken, washed down with a cold Singha beer. Loved it and will be back and recommend to friends and family.
We are repeat customers. Food is always delicious!
Try this place as it is not fancy but provides good Thai food at reasonable prices.
great new addition to the area- tom yum soup with tofu and mushrooms were tasty
drunken noodles were good and spicy and spicy eggplant was pretty good- they also sell bubble tea too- yum!
Location was a little off the beaten trail. Without accessing OpenTable on our phones we never would have picked up on this restaurant. Food was good, authentic Thai, not Americanized. One meal request (minor, no mushroom and add tomato) was written down and even was printed on the check but not delivered correctly to table. Visited with four adults and two grandchildren who enjoyed their meals. We did not venture to dessert. The owner visited our table and spent quite some time with us. Very personable, we wish him good luck.
Happy to have stumbled across this place! Delicious papaya salad, will be back for more! Crazy upon noodles are great; nice and spicy with tons of flavor. Pineapple fried rice was nice too, sweet and flavorful. Excited to go back and try more!
recommended restaurant for thai food if you are in the neighborhood of revere.
It's located on a busy street in Revere. The restaurant is in between a take out joint and a massage parlor. The outside sign and exterior looks old/plain but once you walk in, the place is very nice. Set up with Eastern Asia/Bhuddism decoration. The food comes in decent portion but the quality is great. Everything was delicious.
Maekha Thai doesn't look particularly promising from the outside due to its location on Squire Rd., but inside it's a serene oasis (even with sports playing on a TV in the back of the room - currently world cup). Owner/chef Lou is very welcoming. We had very good scallion pancakes to begin. Tamarind Duck was loaded with fresh ginger strips and fresh veggies and the duck itself was very meaty with nice crispy skin. A country pad Thai was excellent. Specials included a whole bass and soft shelled crabs. The wine list has great selections at very affordable prices (most around $30). I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
Wonderfully authentic delicious thai food with the freshest ingredients and great flavor. The staff is friendly and helpful.
You MUST try Maekha Thai. The food was absolutely delicious and very authentic. The service was wonderful; warm, friendly and helpful. The owner, Chef Lou was on hand and he is extremely welcoming and visited the tables to see how everyone was enjoying their meals. Back to the food, this is the best Thai cuisine we have had in a long time. None of the suburban places can touch it and it is equal to if not better than some of the top places in Boston. A special dessert on the evening we visited was sticky rice with fresh mango. It is a very popular dessert in Thailand and it was so delicious. Decor is very soothing and lovely. What a find!
One of the best Thai resturants we have been to in awhile. Best on the. Northshore by far. We had the Pad Thai, mmmm. The spicy eggplant, mmmm. Very nice contrast of sweet and hot. The fried bananna desert was way way better than expected.
Service was great, freindly and very personable.
Best part?? At home, being lazy?? THEY DELIVER !!!
This is a weekly spot for us, lunch and dinner.
