Madre sur Fleury is the 3rd restaurant from Chef Mario Navarrete Jr, a second "Madre" like the one on Masson street, a BRING YOUR OWN WINE bistrot with latin influences on the menu. This neighborhood restaurant is located in the Ahunstic area with a small cozy room of 30 seats. We love the ceviche, the catch of the day, the braised or confit meats, the flavors, the fresh ingredients, the friendly service and the welcoming dining room.

I had a wonderful culinary experience at Madre!! The food is flavorful, refined with a touch of surprise. Madre is a little gem in cartier Ahuntsic.

Food is delicious! Service impec! The only hic is that there is an open kitchen so there is some smoke/ smell in the restaurant but i would recomment this place to all my friends!

Food was absolutely delicious but unfortunately the resto's ventilation system was not working so we ate with our winter coats on and the food was cold, but I would go back maybe in the spring.

We went to Madre on a weeknight as we had heard only good things from the reviews. We got there and in total there were 4 of us in the restaurant. We ordered the Osso Buco and the leg of lamb which are apparently two of their specialties. Both dishes were very average. The veal was dry and not very tasty and definitely not enough sauce to make it easy to go down. The lamb was better but also a bit "old" tasting. Both dishes were served very hot which we liked. The first courses of squash soup and beet salad were very good. Service was excellent and I liked the beat and decor of the restaurant but there weren't enough people in there to make it fun. The desserts were limited to two chocolate-based ones which we were not in the mood for. So we left. All in all, it wasn't that cheap for the food either. 32$ and 30$ for these two dishes is quite enough in a byob. Thank you.

I was there for the mtl a la table event. It was full booked this night. The dishes were a little small but with very detailed ingredients.

Le petit resto est sympathique, le service était très bien malgré que la serveuse était seule pour server toutes les tables.
Mon amie n'a pas aimé la salade aux calmars et ils lui ont tout de suite changé pour l'autre entrée qui était polenta avec braise de porc sauce tomate et parmesan, ce que j'avais. Par contre le porc était pas très tendre et le plat au complet pas très goûteux. J'ai pris le thon poelé, la caisson était bonne mais pas beaucoup de goût. Mon amie a aimé son jarret d'agneau. Pour le dessert, nous avons pris le pot de costarred à la lime, très bon mais la pate dans le fond très dure et difficile à briser.

Ate at Madre sur Fleury during Montréal à Table on Oct 30. We had everything on the menu (polenta with shredded pork, calamari salad, braised lamb shank and seared tuna). Polenta lacked flavor and was a little on the runny side. It could have used some spice and salt. The calamari salad was fresh. The braised lamb shank was very good and a nice sized portion. The tuna was pretty small for a main dish.
Overall, the noise level of this BYOB restaurant is very high. We had to shout to hear each other several times.
The food is ok, but nothing to recommend.
