    We love this restaurant for fine dining. However, this time my husbands meal was a disappointment. His steak was tough and he did not eat it. Service was superb and ambience is wonderful.

    Outstanding service. We went for my birthday, and when I let them know I wouldn't be ordering dessert, they brought me a few delicious, savory apps -- my love language. Boyfriend had the ribeye (perfectly done), and I had the duck (amazing). The scallops before dinner were the best I've ever had. Thanks for a special evening!

    My rating is based on other restaurants in Highlands....overall a great experience. The food quality was excellent from the salad to the filet and lobster to the souffle. Each was very tasty - the lobster stuffed with seafood was especially delicious. The berry souffle was perpared perfectly. Great ambiance...if you're sitting next to a window on a cold evening the windows can be drafty... it could be kept warmer on the porch section (indoors).

    Madison’s is a Thanksgiving week lunch destination for the women of our family. Food is excellent and service is usually exquisite. Our server was still learning, so I gave her a break. Only food issue was the coffee was not piping hot. I still recommend Madison’s highly. We come back for drinks in the Hummingbird Lounge after a day of shopping. Wine pours are super stingy especially on the flights.

    The ambience and atmosphere were great, and they have a great wine list. But unfortunately, the food was just OK to less than OK. The fish dishes were under seasoned and lacked very much taste. The appetizers were also just OK. For the value and money that was spent, would’ve expected much more.

    The Madison’s lunch menu is very tired and needs to be refreshed. We have been dining at Madison’s for years and the menu needs to be more seasonal and change from time to time.

    While we do have some fan favorites and signature items such as the pimento cheese, chicken salad, seasonal salad with greens from our farms, and the barbeque pork sandwich- staples that have been on our menu for years, we did revamp quite a bit this season. Items new to the menu this season include the shrimp and field pea bowl, the smoked mountain trout melt, the grilled chicken Caesar wrap, and the Wagyu smash burger- about half of our entrée selections. We do try to keep things fresh and different and sorry that we didn't meet the mark for you this visit. Thank you for your feedback. I have shared this with our team of chefs who will certainly take your perspective into consideration.

    Rarely write reviews. This meal was just incredible, though. Meat and cheese plate was so high quality and the octopus entree was one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time. Service was excellent!

    It was a perfect experience for me and my Bestie..celebrating her birthday lunch! All the staff were so gracious and experienced. Our waiter German was kind and attentive and engaging..loved him. The atmoshphere is cozy and beautiful with the big windows and comfy seating. we had a beautiful time. Thank you to all!!

    Always a magnificent experience at Madison’s. Service is extremely attentive and top notch. Be sure to get the charcuterie board and duck breast. Amazing!

    Over the top excellence in every way. Our waiter, from Jamaica, Sheradon (guessing from a poor memory) , was the most friendly, poised, professional, knowledgeable and warm with a great sense of humour. We were each very pleased with our meals consisting of the meatloaf, pan seared red snapper, Wagyu New York Strip and Beef short-rib pasta each with their own sides. The pear soufflé was light, creamy and totally delectable. Supreme experience.

    Exceptional service and ambience! This was our first time dining at Madisons. Many friends told us that we had to eat there when we visited Highlands. At first, when we looked at the menu, we didn't find many vegetarian items, but knew we could figure something out because we wanted to dine there. We were blown away by the service and the staff and chef figuring out a delicious menu for us on the spot. The management truly cares that all of the guests have a remarkable evening and peruse the room making sure you are well taken care of. The staff - world class.

    We have had a family home in Highlands for 60 years and feel Madison's is the best place Highlands has to offer for dinner. The food is always delicious and the service outstanding. 4 for dinner, had the trout, duck, and octopus. The rose at the end of the meal was very thoughtful.

    Although the lunch menu was somewhat limited there was sufficient variety to have something appeal to my whole group, and the food was excellent, the presentation was excellent, the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this venue to those wanting an upscale experience in a relaxed but elegant setting.

    Madison's was a treat, the service is top notch. Our wait staffer, LaTonya, was terrific. We celebrated an anniversary in our group and she was attentive and kind to our celebrating couple. The food was amazing and we were delighted and surprised by the bread and cheese courses. We naturally had dessert and everything was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The only confusion was a lack of clarity for two couples that had gratuity added to their bill while ours did not. We tipped in the same manner.

    Madison’s was a wonderful meal and experience for my wife and I! Our server Nina was excellent and each course brought to us was very good. We enjoyed the Rainbow Trout and the stuffed Pork Chop. We definitely will return to Madison’s and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a romantic and delicious dinner out in Highlands North Carolina. Thanks again! Tyler and Lindsey

    Tanisha is to be commended as hostess. A party of 15 came in front of me and they had a reservation for 6. She handled it beautifully with grace abundance a smile. It could have been a very disruptive situation and she was a kind and perfect hostess. Also server Coombs is terrific.
