We went to lunch for Father’s Day and it was wonderful! The service was excellent and the food was excellent. From his spicy Bloody Mary to his blueberry cheesecake, lunch was great! We all enjoyed Madison’s and would go back. l highly recommend this quaint restaurant in the middle of Highlands!
Birthday celebration for a friend and Wow! Great way to ring in a new decade. Everything was the best and we had great service from our waitress, Murphy.
We were very well received by the hostess.
The waitress was really polite and give us some suggestions about food and wine
We stayed there for about 1:30h for lunch and it’s really a good time
Amazingly delicious food. The martini, made by our server, Emilee, was perfect. She was attentive and friendly but didn’t hover. Every dish was perfect and the Passion fruit soufflé with creme anglaise was a complete dream that We will never forget!
One of the best experiences dining from the moment we arrived, until the very end. Everything was flawless. My NC trout was spectacular.
Roasted root salad was wonderful. Ambiancee, staff, cuisine, all top of the line. Can't wait for a return visit.
The evening was near perfect with excellent food, great ambiance, and a very attentive server. We made the trip for our anniversary and not disappointed.
So happy to find this place. Great food and the service was superb! We plan on taking the family for Father’s Day.
Lovely anniversary dinner. Food was excellent but service was the absolute star of the dinner. Will definitely return whenever in Highlands.
Wonderful service and delicious meal.
Our server was Rachael and she was an excellent server. The food was delicious and the Ambiance is always lovely and quiet. The pecan pie with homemade vanilla ice cream for dessert was fabulous. Real southern food in an elegant atmosphere
I am never disappointed. The mussels were the greatest! The server Molly was superb and the hostess outstanding.
Southern cuisine...great biscuits, shrimp&grits, and pimento cheese. Amazing service. Beautiful setting
Duck was wonderful and Pennijo was a great server. We especially like the nice wines by the glass offerings.
Excellent experience for wife’s birthday. Service was great and food was excellent.
Really nice personnel, good food, excellent ambiance. And oh yeah, best Bloody Mary ever.
Great food and awesome service
Sitting outside near the waterfall and beautiful flowers made us feel like we were in a friend’s private garden. Our server Penny Jo was delightful and our drinks and lunch arrived quickly and were delicious. The Basil-seared chicken salad is something I’ll reorder, my husband’s farm burger had all of his favorites, pimento cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, Aioli. We will come again!
Very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere, great service, enjoyed the food and wine very much. Nothing I would have changed. We will return.
Great food and atmosphere as always! Service is wonderful!
Perfect service and food. This one lives up to its reputation
The atmosphere and food were fabulous-our favorite part was the friendly staff, most of which were interns from Scotland and England. We had so much fun talking with them.
Always enjoy lunch there and it was our anniversary !
Madison's is our favorite. Always wonderful.
I had a vegetable plate that was absolutely the best. Very creative and fresh.
Amazing food and professional service! The staff really went out of there way to make our special night even more special.
A wonderful experience. Overall a very nice dinner with great service.
If only Atlanta had a restaurant as nearly perfect as Madison's in Highlands. We have been many times since the current operation opened its doors adjacent to the Old Edwards Inn. If ever there was a restaurant that deserved even more than 5 stars, Madion's would be one. The service is impecable, yet quiet enough for a romantic evening. The food is always wonderfully presented.
The food was excellent! Service and ambience of the restaurant were somewhat pretentious. They were trying to hard to be all that!!!
Wonderful!!! Food was great
Calves liver to perfection! Pavlova devine!!! As always
Hate to sound like an old curmudgeon since service was prompt but the staff was almost overly friendly and familiar.
The food was excellent, we ate there Monday night and again tonight. Monday night we both had the pork chop...best pork chop I’ve ever had. Tonight I had the duck and my wife had the fish, once again it was excellent. I highly recommend!!!
The food and service is always exceptional.
Nick started off by offering us a complimentary glass of Champagne. Took our picture by the fireplace which we have been visiting since the lates 70’s. Room # 8 was our favorite.
Murphy was our waitress and she was superb- from start to finish. She made our anniversary special which I imagine is hard to do since she didn’t know us. Excellent personal skills but management deserves some credit since all employees were extremely professional and personal. We live locally and looking forward to many more wonderful experiences at Madison’s!! Thank y’all so much.
And we have told at least 15 people about our experience!
It was a lovely friends’ get together. Being a Madison’s made it special. Our waitress, Victoria, was delightful!
My three girlfriends come to Highlands for two nights in April each year and this was the first time we have dined at Madison's. My husband and I had been there for two previous occasions so I knew what I was doing when I made the recommendation to them. It was a lovely experience and we hope to return on a future trip to Highlands.
We were celebrating an anniversary and they had rose petals on our table which was very nice. However, our table was right by the kitchen and entryway so there were a lot of folks in and out. The rolls were not warm (my husband called them hockey pucks.) Soup was good with nice presentation. Trout was very fresh but sauce was very bland. Had read wonderful reviews but we were a little disappointed with our dinners. Probably will not be back.
