The food and atmosphere were wonderful!! Our server was friendly and attentive. We had a drink from the outside bar and sat on the front porch until our table was ready for our 2 PM reservation. A great experience, we will return when we come back from Florida.
Wonderful service, my falafel was dry and overcooked.
Service not as good as in past. Servers seemed new and were unsure when we asked questions. Received bill without being offered dessert/coffee. Food was fine but not over the top.
First time there - my wife and I enjoyed it immensely!
We went to celebrate my birthday but overall I was disappointed after having high expectations. The food was just good. There were too many add ons to the entre. Some were flavors that were added that I just didn’t like. There was nothing special that added to my birthday celebration other than a happy birthday.
Super- all the way around!
Incredible brunch experience. I cannot recommend it enough.
Amazing anniversary lunch. My husband and I had the best time at Madison’s. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Had great service from Ivan—very friendly and professional.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal with an absolute divine array of flavors. Everything was excellently prepared and the presentation was superb. We will definitely be back.
We were disappointed with our lunch. We both ordered the sandwich special, it sounded so good. My friend got a chicken salad sandwich instead and the special was not very special. Too much breading and little chicken. The servers were nice but we had to ask for water each time our glasses were empty. My friend had to pay for the lunch she didn't order, but she was glad it was not the special. It's a lovely place, but we won't be back to eat. Thanks for allowing a review...
Very limited lunch menu, but well chosen and prepared. There is nothing exotic here—just excellent renditions of Southern favorites—shrimp and grits, pimento cheese, chicken salad, pulled pork, smoked trout spread. The wine by the glass is creative. Service was over the top, attentive but not annoying. The dining room is perfect. Lots of windows, well spaced tables, lots of flowers.
Delicious as usual. It is our chosen restaurant when we make a day trip to the Highlands. Look forward to next time. The shrimp and grits is excellent.
Wonderful lunch. Very tasty and nice surroundings. Pleasant and attendant wait staff.
Shrimp & grits were wonderfully prepared and match those from New Orleans. The restaurant staff are super attentive … just like having private wait staff. Great food and service always makes Madison’s a “must do” in Highlands nC
The ambiance and food was excellent. The fish and chips were fresh and perfectly cooked. The burger was rich but delish with the pimento cheese and carmelized
We have eaten there many times, this was the first time in 6 years, and post COVID. At dinner-Staff were friendly but it was not a fine dining experience. Food quality was very poor. Prices way too high for the level of service and food preparation and presentation. . We had ribeyes that were not good quality meat.
Breakfast-better service, fairly priced, reasonable quality.
Hope to go back some day and find it as it once was, it appeared that whoever used to be in charge, and their staff are no longer there, which I guess is what has happened to so many restaurants.
A nice treat to sit outside at the wine bar in a beautiful garden. Staff in so friendly and helpful. The meatloaf is a to die for recipe. Thank you staff for accommodating us with such so caring.
Our waiter was great! Chicken salad was delicious!
Amazing lunch, service was fantastic. Nothing beats Madison's!
Enjoyed the experience. Very nice place. Just felt that the service could have been a little more attentive and the food was just okay.
Very nice meal and would go again.
One of my very favorite restaurants. It is quiet, elegant, cozy. Food is always good and wait staff friendly and efficient.
wonderful from server to
food to exit
Always a great experience!
I highly recommend anytime you are in Highlands.
Great farm to table food and very professional and welcoming staff in an historic dining room. Kid friendly atmosphere. We loved it!
Lovely restaurant. Was nice to see casual resort wear (the dress code, incidentally) being recognized. Am tired of t-shirts, caps, and cell phones in restaurants. This is definitely not the place for that! Good service, and we had outstanding food.
We love coming to Madison’s when we’re on vacation! We had a very nice lunch. My shrimp & grits was amazing and my husband enjoyed his burger. Looking forward to our next visit!
Wonderful; however, did not have a full menu due to an issue with some kitchen equipment!
Wonderful from start to finish. Food is wonderful, space is beautiful and service is great.
We enjoyed the "Southern" lunch entrees as it was our big meal of the day. It is one of our favorite places for lunch.
Always the best. We look forward to returning every time we make a trip to Highlands.
Very nice staff. Food and ambience were great. Menu is somewhat limited for lunch. Waitress and hosts were very friendly and helpful.
EVERYTHING WAS SUPERB!!!
Lovely indoor dining rooms, beautiful outdoor terrace dining/bar, friendly staff, great table service, delicious food. Always our first choice for a special occasion lunch. Hummingbird Lounge is wonderful with its cozy seating of couches, stuffed chairs, and big fireplace on chilly evenings. The drinks and wine selection are appealing.
Delicious and excellent service. Absolutely recommend!
Beautiful lunch with my wife
Don’t leave a lot of reviews but the place is grossly overrated and over priced, for what you get. The food was very average yet the prices were commensurate with very high-end dining.
The food was excellent and I especially appreciated Madison’s having a sommelier on staff ready to offer guidance with the wine menu.
